Why don't CIG just release the game as it is and built upon it? Like expansions? Pyro Expansion, Sherman Expansion, and so on... It's like WoW wouldn't be released yet because we still have some more continents to build and flesh the story out.
It’s mainly cost. The money they’ve received is relatively low all things considered. It’s also not released because released games are expected to have little bugs, something CIG cannot afford right now. It would just be a waste of time and money since the game breaks every 1-3 patches
Once it's 'released' they have to stop wipes... which means they can't easily make sweeping changes to existing functionality to support new stuff (this was one of the issues Frontier ran into with ED expansions, iirc). Disappointed in how little we saw Nyx. Hype about how good that asteroid belt looked, however Nyx is a lot more than just 1 belt....right CIG? Right? Just like Pyro was a lot more than Ruin Station...right cig?!
Not really... unless they've retconned it, Nyx doesn't have any noteworthy planets, nor landing zones (aside from Levski), or even big stations... Aside from that, I'll be (happily) surprised if we get Nyx live before next CitCon, so this way they can provide more information on Nyx next year, without (overly) repeating themselves, etc :p
You can't be "beyond" something that you haven't fully released in the first place. CIG rhetoric pretends that it's accomplished more than it really has. Makes it appear to others that it has clout.
First: it’s (probably) not pre-rendered. Second: It is in fact an alpha. They cannot fix all the bugs because that would be INCREDIBLY cost inefficient at the moment
They took it out of Stanton and the planetoid they toss it on and just put it in the asteroid it’s supposed to be in and made the system it’s from. Probably wasn’t high priority to get that system done for without server meshing. That’s my best guess, probably why it’s in the after pyro video.
@@thomassaunders8149 Yup, and Pyro is the first test for server boundary transition and meshing. They need to nail that, to get other systems act as their own server regions.
0G landing area is stupid. Its not unique, it doesn't make any sense. None of these other space stations are spinning to create centripetal motion for artificial gravity, meaning gravity-creation tech has long-since been easy to get and expected at all locations. Everything not on a planet would have to be either low gravity (moons) or micro/no gravity for all space stations AND our own spaceships when not on a planet-sized body. This also means any gas giants would have very heavy gravity which would introduce entirely new and difficult flight technique changes to compensate.

4.0 will come someday for SC. What a joke. They have been saying for years that it's coming the following year, like for the last five years, as 42 was to be out like seven years ago. Remember when they announced the game in 2012 and said it would be out in 2014? And every year, when it comes close to that time, they add another two years, lol. Fools love being milked. Only 5-star systems when they promised over 100, and the game was to be completed within 4-7 years from the start date, and it's been almost 13 years now and a billion dollars later.
Available in the next 10 years
What a clown show this all is. Gotta market to the annual fresh meat I guess.
instanced areas not for me, i'm in this for open space, not for closed interiors we had in decades of gaming in past, good addition for others who care for such thing
Fix bugs first!!!!
who did the score for the sherman station presentation?
@@logicalChimp I mean you could say the same thing about Pyro so I think they are gunna retcon it.
Squadron 41.5 for iphone pls
You can't be "beyond" something that you haven't fully released in the first place. CIG rhetoric pretends that it's accomplished more than it really has. Makes it appear to others that it has clout.
gimmie more
So they're adding "dungeons" to their MMO...?
I bet nobody's thought of that before!
It still just looks like rinse and repeat assets. Once you've been to one outpost, you've been to them all.
Levski was custom modelled what are you talking about?
I'm so glad someone else noticed it's copy and paste and BORING
Yeah like in Starfield
Even in pre-rendered videos NPCs bugged and glitched. And devs thinks its ok in game presentation lol...
"bUt iT's aN aLpHa."
It's not pre rendered
where are they?
First: it’s (probably) not pre-rendered. Second: It is in fact an alpha. They cannot fix all the bugs because that would be INCREDIBLY cost inefficient at the moment
@@justalex4214 dumb man spotted
lol the station they removed years ago? Based on pyro, nyx like 5 years from release…
This also means any gas giants would have very heavy gravity which would introduce entirely new and difficult flight technique changes to compensate.
yeah.. having GAME thoughts in a game just doesn't make sense *eye roll*... I'm guessing you are the guy that thinks they are smarter than everyone else ... all. the. time.
Thing is, planets in Star Citizen are 1/6 of Earth by default. They can't make everything realistic specifically in a sci-fi setting.
nice try diddy
14:17 Anyone know what ship that is, thought Mole....Just curious
Where is the other 95 systems? Are they going to be released in the next 10 years?
who was breathing into the mic
But I can't even play due to 30k
Lmao y'all really promising more stuff?
If they didn't you'd call it abandonware
@@senorbob2909 It's more like gimmemoneyware
