Dennis Kinlaw, that's who your voice sounds like to me. I've been trying to figure that out for a while. You and he are not of same exact theology but that's not the point. You both edify me. When I listen to you, I see you in the fine tradition of Johnathan Edwards. I thank God for you, brother.

No love and provoking to wrath is a great way for evil parents to abuse their children in secret and appear Godly to the public. Anytime the children speak up they are called ungrateful, difficult, rebellious, etc. Some parents care more about pleasures than the commandments of God. They want to appear as if they follow Jesus, at least while it's still common and viewed as good. Sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll are more important but they still crave to be labeled with the "good" tag.
Some people view children as slaves and they also want to be worshiped, in God's name to make it double wicked. Their word is above God's word but they use God's word to make that claim. Truly insane. Amazing any child can keep it together under those conditions. And many have it far worse!

Thank you for this. There's been a blind spot to the issues of the conservative church because everyone is so fixated on the errors of liberalism. Where I grew up "cold hard Christianity" was a cancer. Christianity with all of the truth and none of the spirit. Scratch the surface and you would see that very few people acted the way they demanded others act. Something is very wrong in large swaths of the western conservative church but we don't notice or say anything because their theology is on point, however the way they live out that theology speaks of something seriously wrong. The amount of people that I've met who have horror stories of growing up in those kinds of churches is disheartening. My pastor has pointed out that Christianity without the truth leads to churches that allow everything, but Christianity without the spirit leads to a cold and abusive form of Christianity.

I love your channel and find the content you upload to be helpful and motivational. I will have to add that this particular video I don't care for ONLY because you placed way too much emphasis on the avoidance of "law" parenting. My only concern with this method of creating this video was the lack of equal weights and measures. This video can be taken out of context for the parent who does apply excessive parental law with no heart transformative attention that the gospel is heavily focused on. This view can push the parent to relinquish the disciplining that is essential,in fear of your content, to the proper upbringing of a child, which will provide the connection between right and wrong decisions and the consequences that follow. The text states clearly over and over again how disciplining your child is a form of love and those that dont hate their child. The text also states that God disciplines those he loves and the most recognized verse, spare the rod, spoil the child. We must add balance where the text clearly add for parents should not provoke their children, for this can become discouraging. So there is a biblical balance we must add so that any parent who watches this won't misinterpret their role if they are on either side of the equation. You apply this principle in all of your videos I have seen. This is the only one I will say that lacks! God bless you, brother, and keep running the race. Much love.

My soon to be 20 year old step daughter never got a permit, doesn’t have or want a license and won’t get a job. She doesn’t have to do anything around the house, but if she does, her dad pays her. She keeps bringing gay pride crap into the house and he just lets her.. She gets money from him and her mom by guilt tripping them.. Her dad won’t even talk about it. He can’t talk about it without blowing up on me. I just got him going to church with me earlier this year, and I’m trying to be patient and let God work in him; and then, hopefully-the rest will come.. It’s getting increasingly difficult, though. She’s manipulated and emotionally blackmailed him into oblivion and it’s hard to watch my husband constantly be emasculated by his daughter.. 😞

To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.
      Titus 1:15-16 NASB1995
who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
      2:14

      3:1
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
      3:5
This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.
      3:8
Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.
      3:14
We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
      1 John 3:16
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
      1 John 4:11
Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.

I am sure that you did the very best for your children and that is commendable. But I am not completely convinced that home schooling or Christian schools are the best for children. The world is what it is and eventually your kids are going to have to live in it at some point. I believe that it is the home environment that should have the biggest influence on youngsters, if kids see their parents living out the Christian life in reality with all their faults and failings which they are ready to admit, that is the most healthy environment for children to grow up in. There are no guarantees and the worst thing that we can do is create lots of ‘cultural Christians’ who are not actually ‘born from above’. Which is what we have in a lot of our evangelical churches.

That is a poor eisegesis. The Bible makes it very clear that children are a blessing from the Lord and Christians ought to desire to have children, unless one is called to singleness. Sure, Jesus did not have children but we cannot assume that all apostles did not either because it's not recorded in the Scriptures. The omission, perhaps, was due to the fact that most of them had children just like most of the Jewish men in the first century. Hence, it's very possible we know Paul did not have any children - because it was not normal.
May I encourage you, as a father of 3, that our children are God's children. He loves them far more than we could ever love them, and He will use them according to His divine and gracious will. Our job as parents is to instruct them in the ways of the Lord that they do not depart from it, and pray and trust that they will know and love the Lord. Parenting is a precious blessing and God's sanctifying work in the lives of believing parents. Don't buy into the rhetoric of the world and do not fear. God's will be done on earth as in heaven, and He will be victorious! 🙏🏻
