Which was the hardest round? Round Four with the Suevite Disgorgon was insanely difficult to find a good strategy. When you fight these in a party it usually does Petrifying Mist early so you can break its jaw and stagger it. For some reason they coded this challenge to use it one minute+ into the fight. This means the only way to build a good amount of Stagger is by Perfectly Blocking its attacks. My reaction time is bad so I had to use Precision Defense Focus and I cover all the openings so don’t worry! Round Five is also crazy as the only way to Pressure it is with Synergy Abilities … This was by far the hardest Legendary Bout to optimize up to this point so your support is much appreciated!
@@Naztalgic_Memories at least your not telling people to become immune and invincible by spamming limit breaks. Lol. This game so crap lol. You dont need limit breaks you can use another gimmick by slowing down time just as he teleports and then spam dodge sideways if you see him using that move. Realizing that it was the moogle's animation messing up my blocking trivialized this part of the fight completely. I'm still struggling with the Mindflayer though, but one step at a time. I went back and looked at the script and it's there. I must have not read that line or something went wrong during the edit! Thank you so much for pointing this out Michael! Sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused!
most of the difficulty comes from the lack of practice players have with cait sith, I think. Additionally the enemies are hard, but the first two rounds are over in maybe 5 seconds, each. the reapertail is pretty easy as long as you're specific about it. using haste as soon as you do Lets Ride helps create the opening for moogle knuckle and reduces the need to time spent during stagger for the 3ATB boost creation - I've noticed that if you get in its face (as in, in against the hitbox) you can usually force it to use its pincer move which is significantly easier to react to than the side move (which is also fairly easy if you catch it about halfway through the animation). that being said, the suevite is difficult to do, moreso than the mindflayer, the mindflayer has probably given you enough difficulty across the entire game (between the actual fight, headcase, and other fights where the devs decided to include it) that you understand its moveset more easily, or effectively. The suevite, without the stagger that comes from blizzaga definitely makes this hard; but the biggest issue (I found) was the camera. It makes it hard to read the movement of the swipes in time for the percision perfect guards. Also if you're having difficulty, remember there IS a version of this fight you can do on easy with Cait Sith in order to practice the movement and timing. On easy it should be easy enough to be done solo by cait sith and gets you accustomed to the camera movement. Hope this helps anyone finding this guide! *Addendum, the setup itself is fairly good, although I would consider putting a curaga on if you've got difficulty with guarding, the percision is probably essential but steadfast block can be replaced. ATB isn't terribly hard to come by in this run.
Coming back to this to say: I HIGHLY recommend replacing Luck Up with Chakra (& not healing because it's an MP siphon). Losing multiple runs because I made minor mistakes was not fun. Chakra patches up the minor mistakes easily. Literally went from spending two hours on it to winning in two tries. Use Blizzara on Disgorgon's jaw. Always breaks it and it will use petrifying mist once it's close to stagger anyway, and so activating Corsair's Compass is fine. Do not ever replace precision defense focus. Naz's parry build strat is the easiest to win with. Use the command menu slow down feature if you have to. You will almost never get a run on Mindflayer where he does not use the projectiles and you can stagger him as early as Naz. This is why Chakra is important - parrying all of these projectiles is not easy.
Single most helpful comment on this video. I ended up not needing the chakra but knowing i *could* clutch up made me more comfortable and i ended up having a clean and easy run. Good call on this
I'm not sure Sword! Am I getting more MP back? If so it may just be a UI bug since these challenges are locked on Hard Mode so there shouldn't be any difficulty modifiers

Love your strats, but for some reason my Mindflayer wasn't playing ball and doing everything out of order which made the compass essentially useless. I changed to the fury ring to brute force it and got him first go.
Finally made it, with a couple of changes, I used fury ring and cure materia instead of swiftcast because I was getting too much damage in last 2 battles and I'm terrible at parrying 😅...
My last solo fight just before "I'm a Hero" and "Bonds of Friendship". First 4 rounds I go like a tornado but can't beat Mindflyer somehow. When he have a copy they do two lasers which always are killing me. So many ties and still nothing.... 🤔😳😕😐
Got through the fourth fight now working on mind flayer. Fourth fight im flubbing it i do lets ride into jumping off and eunning around building atb to cast blizzaga as much as i can to break his stamina to stop during stagger. I always keep the moogle out if it dies resummon and continue to run and build atb. Dummon odin as soon as available and let him help widdle down by using all fathers fury instead of blizzaga...

I dont know how these tutorials make it look so easy to block. I need to find a strategy that doesnt involve precise timing. I've gotten platinum on remake, intermission, and crisis core, but in this game I cant even block once. I dont like how this franchise is going away from strategy and more into action. I try to fight mindflayer from a distance, but he gets me everytime with accursed orb. Im stuck on this, chapter 12 rufus, and sephiroth on the rulers of the outer worlds. (optinoob has a great strategy on that last one, but sephiroth gets me with shadowy chains every time.) Might have to call if quits after being 250 hours in. Slow works well on mindflayer, but he throws those orbs when you try to fight long range.
I can't help out anymore than my guides as I cleared all these fights 20-50 times before releasing my guides. They are concise for a reason and they share everything to make the fights easy. I can clear it for you, for a price. Otherwise I wish you the best of luck 🙏
I'm just venting from frustration after hours of being destroyed by sephiroth and then hours of mindflayer. 😂 Ill get it eventually. I'll find a way to tweak this setup to work with my play style. Maybe replace steadfast and def with barrier and something. Maybe slow and manawall will help. It's a great setup though. A few of your guides helped a lot. A lot of guides rely on gotterdamerung, which I don't have yet. If it wasn't for that accursed orb, I would be incredibly simple. I'm guessing that he doesn't use that move when you're close range, so blocking is a huge help as you do here. Maybe I'll practice blocking more.

Hope this helps anyone finding this guide!
*Addendum, the setup itself is fairly good, although I would consider putting a curaga on if you've got difficulty with guarding, the percision is probably essential but steadfast block can be replaced. ATB isn't terribly hard to come by in this run.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Coming back to this to say:
I HIGHLY recommend replacing Luck Up with Chakra (& not healing because it's an MP siphon).
Thanks for sharing the tips Bryce!
Single most helpful comment on this video. I ended up not needing the chakra but knowing i *could* clutch up made me more comfortable and i ended up having a clean and easy run. Good call on this
So, this is how to play with cait! Thanks bro
My pleasure Anderson 👍
Why do I keep getting 50% hp restore, but only 30% mp restore?
That's the standard for Chadley in this game. You'll start each round getting 50% HP healed and 30% MP healed
I'm not sure Sword! Am I getting more MP back? If so it may just be a UI bug since these challenges are locked on Hard Mode so there shouldn't be any difficulty modifiers
@@Gomez1mike Thanks for helping out Gomez ❤
@Naztalgic_Memories u get 50% mp back, but thats okay. I'll work with what I got. And thank you again for the vids. U got some serious talent here. I cant do what you do step by step in making these vids. I hope u blow up the internet! ❤
Edit: I don't subscribe to anyone. Just one person but he's my friend. I'll subscribe to you and see you in 3 - 4 years from now when part 3 of the trilogy comes out. 😊
Awww thank you so much for the support and I'll see you for part three! Maybe sooner if you play other JRPG games :)
Love your strats, but for some reason my Mindflayer wasn't playing ball and doing everything out of order which made the compass essentially useless. I changed to the fury ring to brute force it and got him first go.
Good job on improvising Naed 👍
@@Naztalgic_Memories Only made possible thanks to your awesome guides, you should be proud!
@@naedtrax3766 I'm just happy the community is using them so thank you ❤
Finally made it, with a couple of changes, I used fury ring and cure materia instead of swiftcast because I was getting too much damage in last 2 battles and I'm terrible at parrying 😅...
Congratulations on the clear Apolo 👍
My last solo fight just before "I'm a Hero" and "Bonds of Friendship". First 4 rounds I go like a tornado but can't beat Mindflyer somehow. When he have a copy they do two lasers which always are killing me. So many ties and still nothing.... 🤔😳😕😐
Gotta punch it in the face to cancel the attack!
Fucking done with cait sith. Good lord.
Congratulations Kylar 👍
Got through the fourth fight now working on mind flayer. Fourth fight im flubbing it i do lets ride into jumping off and eunning around building atb to cast blizzaga as much as i can to break his stamina to stop during stagger. I always keep the moogle out if it dies resummon and continue to run and build atb. Dummon odin as soon as available and let him help widdle down by using all fathers fury instead of blizzaga...
That sounds like one heck of a time you had Laitha 😂
@@Naztalgic_Memories absolutely. I love this game. Even when it drives me to the edge of hating the challenges I still love it. 😉 Anyways thanks for your help, I'm working on rulers of the outer worlds now, then going back to the bonds of friendships.
@@laithamekir5778 Outer Worlds is more digestible then Bonds of Friendship 👍
@@Naztalgic_Memories yeah Sephiroth kicks my ass every single time, it's rough 😂 just gonna have to get good now instead of cheezing it 😂 taking a slight break from it for today to recharge, preparing for the Sephiroth fight lol. Lots of listening to your vid and seeing a play by play. Certainly helps.
@@laithamekir5778 I wish you the best of luck Laitha! 🙏You should get Rulers of the Outer World once you get the dance down!
The mindflayer is impossible😓 I tried about 300 Times but in every single match he oneshot me with the electric wave…fortune telling Never stop the attack😭
And you're following the exact same build? Out of 20 attempts I only failed twice so not sure how after 300 attempts you've yet to clear once.
@@Naztalgic_Memories idk why, at the end i change build, i use magic focus on time materia and another luck up instead of fire+magnify…and use gotterdammerung, so i win, after over one week 😅
@@AleNero666 Glad you got the win Alen 👍
Hello. How do you get the 3 ATB bars ?
The accessory I show at the start
@@glenc2353 Oh okay! I wasn't sure what I was suppose to do with that reply XD
You could use the weapon that increases the Moogle's aggro and poison for Mindflayer!
Idk why this challenge is fun to me. I guess BoF solo attempts have made me like suffering lol. I'm going through many of the guides from this challenge and then I'm going to put them all together and make my own video for those struggling thank you for the inspiration
PS yeah round 5 is wack. For my summon I'm using Gilgamesh I'm using kind of a slower Chip away strategy and let mog tank for my tutorial
Whatever helps people get an easy win
This made outer worlds feel like easy mode, I didn’t get a crit during telekinesis but got lucky and perfect blocked it. Once staggered it’s a wrap but this stage 5 of this simulation was goddamn terrible game design with a character move set like Cait I don’t enjoy.
Thanks for the guide tho Naz, 2 more legendary sims to go!
Good stuff Bgoque! You got the other two 💪
Has this been tested on the new patch? 4 or 5 for me will not come close to dying on the 1st stagger. Best I could do is about a quarter. Mindflayer instakills with the purple orbs.
I cleared it this friday after the patch and it still works Mike!
@@Naztalgic_Memories thanks sir, I just suck
No don't say that Mike! Sometimes you just need a few more tries than others! You'll get it!

Finally got this one down! Off with the mindflayers head.
Good stuff Ricky 👍
I’ve tried every build and literally nothing works it’s stupid
Sounds like a skill issue. Good luck clearing 🙏
Best tutorial ever👍👍
Glad you think so Majin!
Very good strategy but somehow it doesn’t work vs mindflayer. Despite fortune telling he just kills me.
Is your luck up and Folio with Luck stat maxed out? I tested this 20 times before releasing the guide so I know it works.
@@Naztalgic_Memories yes. Perhaps I’ll try again tomorrow. Stuck for almost three hours on this, what a waste of time 😅 really enjoyed the game, especially on normal mode but once I finally finish these challenges I know I will never touch this game again 😁
It's a shame these are the last things we do in these games huh Yevgeny? It tarnishes the memories we have with the rest of the game because it's what we last remember about it!
By the way, just managed the challenge now, sometimes best to take a break and start fresh. Second try today 😁💪💪 thanks a lot once again for the strategy!!
I thought ruler of the outer worlds was the block for me but no, they had to put a solo fight for Cait again. zzzZzZzZZzZ
This is harder than Outer Worlds for sure Evil!
this was the worst and less fun to play, really an unpressured enemy? i swapped magnify for elemental thunder, magnify imo is not needed at all, if you are lucky enough the aoe damege of firaga can almost kill first two round thank you as always now the last two
That is true Dario! In my guides, I try my best and reduce RNG hence the Magnify!
Best of luck on the last two 🙏
For me this is just impossible. It’s frustrating and became just uninteresting and boring
Thank you for sharing!
@@Naztalgic_Memories I needed to vent 🤣

@@56Tyskie I was about to comment on the original post but saw the reply! Good stuff 56 👍and thank you for using the guide ❤
@@Naztalgic_Memories yeah this video and the one for yuffie helped me with these challenges greatly. Now all I have to do are the last 3 brutal challenges and the one with Zack and Sephiroth. Last thing before I get that platinum trophy
@@56Tyskie One step closer
I simply cannot do this challenge it is so annoying! Can somebody SharePlay with me!
I can for a price. Join the Discord link in the description for more details
I would have liked to have done this in a quicker way l haven't used Cait Sith much at all. At least that stayed true to the original game . lol. I played through the original so many times when I was young. Beat it in so many ways, with varying self-imposed restrictions. (item only, no materia, etc.) There wasn't a single time I desired to have him in my party. And whenever I did use him, his limit break Death Joker'd me. 🙄
Awww how come you didn't like Cait Sith? I find his kit fun and he's a KITTY!
@@Naztalgic_Memories I do like that he's a kitty. But between the Scottish accent and the gambler nature of his skillset in a game that's pretty heavy in RNG already is a turn off. RNGs never liked me.
@@厶しりあらな You can reduce the RNG by increasing his Luck Stat!
Hands down the worst character in Rebirth. God awful.
Thank you for the engagement!
The dices and his slot skill has potential. Problem is that it is very unreliable. The solution is to separate offence and buff skills.
@@meteordaddy8638 That would then go against the gimmick of RNG. I'd welcome that change in the third installment when they have more skills in the pool to get!
can't get past round 4
I shared everything in the video that I know. Perhaps try another guide out there. Best of luck getting the clear Resident 🙏
You say terrible fight. Umm you kicked its butt to kingdom come.
Yeah but it was a pain in the butt learning it!
This shit was annoying af. I had to go practice the 5th round in Junon. Got good at parrying all of his attacks. Couldnt do it without that
Good stuff Ryan! Practice makes perfect 💪
Thank you for these vids but man this crap took me 5 hours of trying to beat just because of the last two rounds such a garbage designed fight for cait
I totally agree Dab! Those last two fights took some learning to share all the tips I accumulated!
@@Naztalgic_Memories So You DO agree it's crap and garbage. What a hypocrite lool.
@@terryanderson7611 Once again a fight does make the game crap. It's unfair but that doesn't just make the entire game crap. You're logic is flawed 😂
There has to be another build for this, it VERY annoying 😅
I'm sure there is Spartacus! This is just what I came up with!
@@Naztalgic_Memories Thanks, after using someone elses and your guide, and thanks to stedfast earrings which really helped! I think this was the most gruelling one yet!!🐈⬛
@@SpartacusxPrime I agree and that's cause it has two enemies who need you to Perfect Block to build stagger.
A user named nephielm did a slightly better version of this strategy. It involves the iron microphone and allows you to devise a strategy that KOs the last three rounds during the first stagger.
Even then I still recommend some tweaks to it. But yeah this is by far the worst of the solo legendaries. I'm glad people came up with non gotterdammerung versions, because this allows four players to finish the final brutal challenges with level 9 we, which is useful because it doesn't seem as if those have an entirely stable strategy available. In
I love when the community comes up with better strategies Nick. This is what I did when the game was relevant so I'm glad to hear things have gotten better.
@@Naztalgic_Memories True, and to be clear I'm certainly not knocking your take on things. Depending on the dates these strategies were posted he may have built his strategy off of yours, as I built mine off of his when I beat it earlier today.
It's extremely rare that a single person formulates the best strategy ever, it's usually a series of people building off of each other's strategies in a community effort.
Seriously though in all honesty how crap is this game lol
One fight doesn't make the game crap Terry.
@@Naztalgic_Memories By the way everyone. After all the effort of completing the hard character battles. You unlock 1 Zack and 1 Sephiroth battle. They are not fun at all and are just as annoying and crap. All the simulations were crap. All everything is this game was crap. Who you kidding?
@@terryanderson7611 So why are you still playing it and looking up guides? Just move on and enjoy your time with something else.
@@Naztalgic_Memories Not playing it. Here to share my opinion about this absolute crap game.
