I want to share something with everyone if they're having a hard time with the Tortoise fight. Anytime Fira or stronger (Firaga) is cast on it, it will get pressured. When it's pressured it won't shoot those fireballs from it's shell. So if you're getting decimated by the fireballs, a simple Fira spell will pressure it and stop the onslaught for you.

@@Streifen1911 It stops for longer than that... like maybe 15 seconds. I only needed to use fira like once or twice for that. Firaga is where all the damage comes from, it's just that there isn't always time to build 2 atb for the Firaga, so the fira can and will help you out in a pinch for like 15 seconds while you build 2 atb for firaga. It did for me.
@@Streifen1911 He doesn't completely stop attacking. He just stops the fireball attack to give you time to get two ATB Stripe.

For anyone stuck on the final round, make sure to always block. It doesn't matter if it's perfect timing just try to get hit as little as possible.

Round 1-4 is good. Round five I saw gravity well and died. Idk what that means.
Maybe it had reflect and I tried to blizzaga.
Edit a lot of damage with fury ring on but managed to get him with 854 health left because I had a limit break on maybe could have swapped something out for chakra but other than that I got it thank you you're the one who helped me 5 minutes and 30 seconds on the winning round
I beat rulers of the outer worlds that was the most important thing these things seem like a breeze

I recommend swapping skill master for subversion, so you can take off shield of the last monster instantly and dont have to wait for phase change
also great guide:)

Hey Naz, thank you once again you got be through cloud's and now barrets challenges.
I was a not doing great with round 4, but then saw that as long as you keep the tortoise pressured (Fira) and always keep 1ATB ready for it that makes it a bit easier.
I was also a bit clumsy on round 5, so realised that I had to do 2 rounds of polarity shift (start the cycle again) and even summoned phoenix as a safety measure. Although you can abuse their phase 1 reflect for free fire healing, you will run out of MP so do this sparingly if you need a heal!

you don't have to spend magic against the bomb in round 3 after staggering it, just hit it with max fury and icy impulse it after it gets up to repressure, they bait you into spending much needed mp, I had a Chakara I used in 2 rounds 4 & 5 instead of steadfast block... round 5 I went in hard with lvl 3 ice and ran out of mp but still got him thanks a million!
2 in one day, I did this on the first try... and finished the Cloud challenge today too! WHoo hoo!

This one gave me soooo many issues even when following this guide! Had to improvise at some points as the AI does different move sets. The last round kept killing me right as it was meant to die, so that was very frustraiting! When the guide killed it, my beast was still alive I had to just go with the flow, and use what I learned from its first form! Thanks again, and no on to the next video/challenge 😁

im still getting hit by fire attacks even after having a maxed out elemental materia with the fire materia. is it because of the fire and ice materia?

Only difference i had was the final battle he used reflect almost immediately. Had to switch Skill Master for Subversion then i could ice damage him. Great guide!

Heys guys if you find yourselves having a hard time keeping ur hp up swap out the fire and hp drain for chakra and either the magic efficiency or magic duration materia on ur time materia for longer or stop on stagger or cheaper haste…this made this challenge so much easier I got 11 min as my best time not the fastest but I had a lot of room for error cause barret is an atb god/tank

Hey Naz. Wanted to say thanks for your uploads. I completed Brutal with a few of your tips. I was wondering what your opinion on how legendaries compare to brutal as i havent started legendaries, yet. Is it harder, or, how would you describe it?
Brutal challenges felt like you had to have the right Materia set up and any team could kill it. For Legendaries you really have to know how to play the characters to generate ATB and enemy patterns on when to attack!
now am stuck with this one. managed to reach last boss but i got killed so many times

Man this was way too easy the reflect heal was fantastic for the final round , I did call Phoenix and gave myself arise just incase as I got caught with a Laser on my 1st attempt , 2nd attempt done 👏💪

So twice i’ve gotten the final boss down to pretty much zero HP, like you can’t even see his HP on the screen anymore. But when I’m shooting off my last Blizaga, he does some sort of instant kill move on me. I can’t tell if this is bugged or just really bad RNG

@@Naztalgic_Memories what was happening is I wasn’t killing it in time while it was staggered, and when I shot the final Blizaga at it, it had reflect turned back on. So it shot back and killed me instantly.

The last fight seems kind of random. I got him halfway staggered before he decided to use polarity shift and I ran out of MP. Some of these seem like you’re rolling the dice a bit and hoping for good RNG. The guide helped me with the other ones like a charm though. Thanks!
That's so interesting that you staggered him before Polarity Shift. I cleared this 20 times using this exact build and not once did that happen for me. Sounds like an anomaly if you're using the exact same setup down to a T
@@Naztalgic_Memories oh no I didn’t manage to stagger him before he used shift. But in your run he uses it when he’s less than half staggered and in mine he uses it when he’s a little over halfway staggered. My MP absorption and HP absorption are only level 2 so maybe leveling them will make the difference? Also I might try using a different Acc. To not take as much damage in the final round.

Which round gave you the most trouble?
The turtle thing, idk why it deals a lot of damage to me

Adamantoise is absolutely wrecking me. The first three fights happen exactly the same way as in the video, but I am absolutely not having the same experience as you in the 4th fight. I have a totally identical build and everything. Not sure if I’m just not fast enough with my commands? Gotta keep trying…
To be clear, though, this guide/build totally slays. I just gotta figure out this fight 😅
Ok, got it. Highly recommend throwing in a Fira whenever he’s not pressured. Fira will pressure him instantly, and when he’s pressured, he does not throw out the “fire” balls (they’re not fire, because we’d absorb them if they were). This makes the fight 100% easier. The rest of your guide applies; just throw in Fira when you have the chance and life is good.
Hi friend, I'm really grateful to your guides, but I think that those are more of a commentary of your game: I expect more general tips that I can apply no matter what the enemy is doing in that precise moment, and a better explanation of the general strategy. These videos otherwise show a sequence of action that I cannot learn by memory, or apply in every case 😅 Don't take as a criticism, I'm grateful for your work, it's just a suggestion to improve on your content!
I can see where you're coming from David. It is commentary of that run and how I handled it. The ATB Commands are the same regardless what the enemy does. Consider watching each section and how I handle the enemies attacks and then follow the ATB Commands.
I have video of when i got my second to ladt run done... He had literally no life and i was Blizaga right as it goes off he hits me for damage and kills me... It was such BS i had to save it. 😂 Anyways thanks for the runs they have been helpful

Are genji gloves a good option here? Cause i used them in the cloud bout and it was Great.
Unfortunately no Rafanou! Barret has the lowest offensive stats that it'll overall be a DPS loss. He'll only surpass the damage cap by a few once the enemy is staggered!
i much prefer a cure materia over that block atb materia since I suck at blocking and would rather be able to heal in a pinch but thats just me.

Absolutely NEED lvl 3 elemental for this.. not 2... since round 5 you need to heal yourself with fire.. so if you only have elemental lvl 2.. you need to do 12 perfect part in a row to survives
If I said two then that was my bad Math! Level three Elemental is a must for this strategy!

Can i use gotterdamerung to make it more easier or it wont?
I don't think Gotterdammerung will make this easier considering Barrets stats are so low. If it was anyone else then I'd say yes.
I tried a couple times on my own with gotter, I can say once you get to the tortoise gotter on barret is useless other than giving you the brief invincibility during the limit, other than that the damage isn’t worth it. This guide is extremely precise which makes it much easier to replicate.

great tutorial but my Barret doesn't heal himself when he spells firaga O_O I have both maxed hp absorb and fire together... wth??
Is your Elemental Maxed out Erik? That allows you to heal off the Firaga!

@@Naztalgic_Memories yes, the setup is exactly like yours.. oh well it must be something with the last patch idk.....
It doesn't add up @@ErikStrife I literally did this yesterday and I have the patch downloaded. If you have the same weapon, armor and your materia are allocated in the same spots then it should work. I recommend going back and making sure they match up with the video!
Unfortunately not the build for me. The Adamantoise is too much without healing.

How does your Firaga at 6:07 only take on ATB? I've watched it back a few times and can't figure it out. The only thing I can see that even might explain it is that you hit Firaga at the exact second Overcharge finishes and it somehow continues to give you the big ATB bonus from the last shot of overcharge.
If you follow all the ATB commands I use then it'll be the same for you. Skill Master activates refunding one ATB Over!

@@haaria83 The Legendary challenges will differ depending on the player skill with each character! I personally didn't use Cloud in the Story as I wanted to try out the other characters! In doing so I had to learn him which took awhile while others I cleared first attempt!
