Thanks for this video, I liked your ideas. When I played 40K way back when, Tyranids was my army, so I've been pretty excited about this deck. I'm only making a few changes, and I'm making custom faces for the cards I'm adding to keep it on Tyranid theme (I'm especially happy with my Breeding Pool).
I'm in the understanding that exocrine is an insane pseudo asymmetric board wipe. It deals with a lot of wide board strategies perfectly and in the right situation has potential for a lot of damage with minimal downside if your board is already set up with big tyrannids out. I could be wrong about it being great, but it does its job pretty effectively.
This makes me curious. i feel like getting black in order to throw in Zaxara in there so you have a mana dork and token generator. Not sure how many 4 cmc commanders there are but for those x spells to get the additional hydra tokens would be nice. Or, rather, maybe just run some of the x tyranids in it instead. So much interesting directions you can take this one deck in
For me magus is better if you go heavy creatures, why? Bcs you put a token of the creature itself, copying etb, ltb and abilitys. Zaxara put just a token with counters with no ability. So i would go zaxara if you want to be focused on x instants and sorcerys, that way the token will defend you while you lack creatures in a spellsinger deck.
Magic. I don't know, I made that video like 2 years ago, but the decklist is on moxfield with all the changes. www.moxfield.com/decks/53kGSU1CvEyW3BmhlDYVOw
Freed from real and Prismite nets infinite mana but not generating extra to net positive tap magus net two pay two for prismite net blue untap magus continue
Yes. You are correct, I got ahead of myself, but you get infinite delayed triggers. The next X spell you cast can be copied as many times as you want. You'd need another piece to generate infinite mana, like our boy Magus of the Candelabra.
I think Malanthrope or Venomthrope. Either card doesn't do anything that advances our gameplan. They are Tyranids, and holdover/precon effect cards. Both decent, but perfectly acceptable cuts.
@@bettercommander Yea Malanthrope aswell, i just thought it was a good grav hate card but my play group doesn't have that many grav centric decks so that's a good cut aswell. I was thinking then to add The Ozolith in place of Malanthrope, what do you think ?
Made the mistake of breaking this deck down before running the alt commander. She makes the deck soo much better! Re did the deck top down with animar at the helm. Fun deck!

That's a great idea for those artistically inclined. Show it off when you're done!

Yes, I kept it in. It's one of those cards that I need to see in action, but it's versatile. My only issue is Magus Lucea Kane is so smol.
The think I don't like about that card it's that it also damage your face, if you are low on life you have to be careful on cast.
Excellent Vid. Thanks for the witty banter and great suggestions
Thanks! Happy you found it useful.
Do one video for the Necron deck please! It will be my first commander deck and I am really looking foward to make it great 😁
Of course!
When you said Aberrant looks like my uncle I lost it
You should see my uncle, you'd understand.
Keep featherin' it, Brother.
I brewed a Voltron deck for The Red Terror
You should try Retreat to coralhelm. It is an amazing enchantment to untap magus with landfall

It's just two different flavors of x spells. There are really good Tyranids for Xaxara.

Herald of secret streams
He was in my radar. Really good include.
Biophagus would go very well in my +1/+1 counter human deck, wow.
Same goes for Clamavus.
Sporocyst? Red/green Bombnath's best friend.
Atalan jackal? Directly into my Sidar Kondo of Jamurra/vial smasher deck.
Aberrant as well. He only needs 1-2 power to come through unblockable.
Oh my god Tyranid Prime is wild.
So many good cards in this precon!
You are removing 16 cards but putting in 23? How is that?

I too am using magus
No Unbound Flourishing?
So many cards, so little time! But unbound flourishing is great!
To be fair it probably wouldn't have fit with the budget
@@danielsniff6405 to be fair it was a lot cheaper when this video was posted.
@@nickatwork to be fair, I didn't know that. Wish I brought it 2 months ago lol.
i swapped the comander for Animar, but i kinda want to keep it tyranid focused. what should i add?
Nice video man
Thank you my friend.
My Zaxara deck will like the ravenous
Yes, I have a Zaxara deck that runs some sub-par hydras, and Aberrant and some of the others are upgrades for sure.
Could Animar be a drop in commander for this?
He's in the list! Great include.
Animar is NASTY in the command zone
Honestly, get some reps in for both. Id think the 2x (not to mention the 3x or 4x) creatures more powerful than 1 larger version.

Why not include Temur ascendancy ?
That's a fantastic include. I probably just missed it. :(

Animar goes nuts in there
you're funny as fuck dude
That's what my lawyer told me.
