Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr - The Medley
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 28 ก.ย. 2024
- From the 1984 film, "Give my Regards to Broad Street," this 'Medley' consists of "Yesterday," 'Here, There, and Everywhere," and "Wanderlust."
Watch as Ringo searches for brushes, needed for the first part of the medley, only to find them in time to switch to sticks.
For those who have not seen this movie, Paul's melancholy is due to an assistant, missing with the only copy of master tapes of music that were about to go to album production, and a record company about to be taken over.
Its 2023 and Ringo is still looking for those brushes 😂
and still in 2024
And still in 2025
Ringo's brush drumming in this is just spectacular
😂
@@rogerpr364 The whole concept was clever. Glad I saw it.
Чёткий ритм, чувство такта - это Ринго! 😊
"what medley?" ajajajaja
Everything Ringo drummed was always perfect for the song being done. Every one. I absolutely ❤ The Beatles!
From the very beginning it was clear that Ringo could not only act, but he was a good comedian. That was why the movie HELP! featured Ringo.
Greenwolfe Green or maybe it stared him cause he was in the beatles? Dumb fuck
You're right. It featured him first and foremost because he was in the band and for him not to be in it would have been ludicrous. But you should be a gentleman and apologise for insulting that person, it wasn't necessary.
David Stewart yes it was biotch
indeed, I think film was putting in twice the effort as both Paul and Ringo were doing voiceover for animation too at the time, both iconic children's characters from books too... Paul was working on "Rupert and the Frog Song" in addition to this, while Ringo had briefly been drafted by a lass by the name of Britt Allcroft for ITV, becoming known to many adults and kids around the UK in what his second claim to fame in life would likely be just beneath his amazing drumming in music...
Bongo
Paul takes everything he does and turns it into magic. He was just pure raw talent. You cannot fake that.
PAUL'S MAGICAL MYSTERY MUSIC TOUR. AND BEATLES FOREVER
But why "raw"
@@paninovevo1162 why was?
Does anyone remember from the Mozart film when Salieri goes looking for Mozart’s working papers, the prelude to the final version, and Mozart’s wife says there’s only one copy, and Salieri realises that the music comes to Mozart fully formed, as if from God.
That’s how I see Paul McCartney. A person who G-d chose to be his messenger.
@@wornyodelrecords because let’s be honest he’s not as good as he was
We love the Beatles and Paul McCartney you rock and roll forever and Hollywood walk of fame and the rock and roll hall of fame 82 years old today
God bless the Beatles and Paul McCartney
We love the Beatles and Paul McCartney
We love the Beatles and Paul McCartney
We love the Beatles and Paul McCartney
We love the Beatles and Paul McCartney
The best of the best!! Bob Dylan about McCartney “I’m in awe of Paul McCartney,” Dylan told Rolling Stone in 2007. “He’s about the only one that I am in awe of. But I’m in awe of him. He can do it all and he’s never let up, you know. He’s got the gift for melody, he’s got the rhythm. He can play any instrument. He can scream and shout as good as anybody and he can sing the ballad as good as anybody, you know so … And his melodies are, you know, effortless. That’s what you have to be in awe … I’m in awe of him maybe just because he’s just so damn effortless.”
Thank God everyday for the music of The Beatles. Those 4 lads created modern day heavenly gospel that will be sung on repeat the globe over until the sun refuses to rise.
thank them and the record labels.. god was absent as usual.
Imagine being partly responsible for the soundtrack of the lives of so many generations of people ? I was born in '68, so I am a late 70s and 80's child. With that said, I wasn't even close to being born for Beatle mania, but I can't imagine a world without a Beatles song. That is the impression that they have left on humanity. It is truly staggering how many people's lives those boys have touch thru their music.
Johns voice was at its peak from the 60-68's but Paul's voice got better as he started to age. Paul has an amazing. Voice
Instant Karma was released in 1970, that was John´s vocal peak for me
mario baires Even here, he looks like a very young man and this is many years after The Beatles. He still looks fantastic today as well
mario baires You are also right about his voice.
i dont think so. late 65s, and 66's paul was a great performer.
Ummm Double fantasy anyone??? John vocals were amazing on his last LP!!!
Best version of "Yesterday" one of my favorite Beatle song.
Not the best of paul voice imo
William's voice is very weak. You should listened the real James Paul McCartney (1942-1966).
@@justiceforjamespaulmccartney how old are you? Grow up!!
@@rebeccajones4stories Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966 and was replaced by William. This is the truth no matter what.
@@justiceforjamespaulmccartney what a bunch of bullocks. He was in an accident, but never died. That was something whackos liked to conjure up... in the same way the Manson Family said The White Album was a manifesto to start a race war.
But.... IF Paul died and was replaced by another.... they sure picked a musical genius to be a replacement.
Is the earth flat or round? Does Sasquatch exist?
I love Ringo an' I love his drumming... he's one of the best.
Charlie Brown no Ringo was ok. The best drummer without a doubt is Neil Pearl of Rush and no matter who you try to convince that knows music will tell you the same.
1.- John Bonham
2.- Keith Moon
3.- Hector "Pomo" Lozano
4.- Neil Pert
....
3234324.- Ringo Starr
For sure the funniest.
Charlie Brown ..,.what ! One of the best, get real.

Wow, fantastic video! I never saw it until today 8/6/23.
2024 August.
Paul included two songs from his 1982 album Tug Of War in the movie. One was Ballroom Dancing, because the director wanted to film a big dance scene to that song. The other was Wanderlust. I think that may be because George Martin once said that that was one of Paul's best vocals ever, including his Beatles songs.
Wanderlust is a beautiful song. Great arrangement and exquisite production. A hidden gem.
@@winstongotsole Do you know the story behind Wanderlust? It's not just a soppy ballad.
"So what are we doin?"
"The medley."
"What medley?"
I love Ringo when he's clueless
Lmao 😂 man, I'm so glad that my Dad listened to The Beatles and that I grew up listening to them. Once upon a time he had a gnarly vinyl collection that included all of their albums and a ton of other great music. He was so cool about me n my brother listening to them too, he only ever asked that we put them back in their sleeves and back in the cabinet like we found them. Love and miss you, Dad. You were the best, dude. I would argue that to my last breath too. 🤘🏼🤘🏼✌🏼✌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼

This is from the movie give my regards to broad street
First time for me too! Lovin it!
Am I the only one expecting the Abbey Road medley?
Which One?
Nathan923 “The End”
Thanks. I was a bit confused because there is also the Mean Mr. Mustard/Polytheme Pam/ She Came In Though the Bathroom Window Medley on the same album.
@@nightshadespectre409 is it weird that I count it all as one big medley or nah? Everything from you never give me your money to the end
@@LukeTheGeek Not at all. You could say the same for the album the Dark of the Moon. It may be a bunch of different songs, but because of how they flow into each other on the record, you, could consider them all to be one giant work of music. :)
I came here for the abbey road medley and found this gem, thanks for posting
I loved this movie. I think it was so underrated.
Billy will thank you for that
So much like their movies. Ringo is goofing off, its in the script. Comes in at the right moment for Wanderlust. Nothing on the recording but Ringo making noise looking for stuff. Just like the old days. I saw them in 1964. Loved them ever since!!! The music is wonderful. Paul's voice is grand.
Great to see him and Ringo on one screen
I never heard that before. It was lovely ❤
I think we began to appreciate just how good these guys were, once the initial feeding frenzy died down a bit. And I do love Ringo's drumming. In spite of all the bits with the horns and chorus, there's a purity in these two and their performance...
The best McCartney's album and the best part of that one.
Love Paul in that period in which his voice was at the best.
Love everyone in this video.
Man, I know the album but not the movie. I'll have to watch this. The album is amazing!
How can talent be so gloriously amazing , never mind talent ....genious !
In my opinion. Greatest love song of all time. Such genius to run 2 great Beatles songs abd Paul's own in continuous fashion.
Paul looked like in his twentieth here, so young and amazing. the ultimate cute Beatle
One of the most beautiful songs ever written… And the mu fkr dreamed it ❤
3:55 Ringo finally found the brushes, and doesn't need them anymore. His frustrated face is funny
That whole bit was put in because Ringo refused to play on a remake of a Beatles song. Made a nice gag for the scene.
Ringo always makes me laugh he is a good actor, I love his films and TV Shows
It’s crazy to think that he was doing what he is doing now many years before i was born, still doing it while i was a kid , still doing it whilst i was a teenager in the 90s and he’s still doing it now and im close to 50 years old 😂
I missed this band... So so much!!! ... THE BAND THAT CHANGE MUSIC ... COMPLETELY.
What can I say from four minutes it’s pouring the carpet! Beautiful song, beautiful voice, and amazing Ringo.
A great Musicien and so much Life in his beautiful Voice
Greatest performers ever!
zzzz please. THe level of staggering ignorance...
This is my favorite scene from a wonderful movie! I just and treasure his voice. Ringo funny too!
Somehow I'd missed "Wanderlust." Love it!
His creativity is outstanding.
I love Paul's and Beetles music and his voice. They are all with Ringo and all Beetles , they are real genius musicians.
At the time Ringo refused to play on any Beatles music, hence the missing brushes. The 3rd tune was a McCartney song.
+Eric Schmitz Wrong. It's just a way to get Ringo into the scene without him playing. Why doesn't he play? Because there's no drums on it.
no drums on "here, there and everywhere"?
+Eric Schmitz You are right. There are drums on "Here, There, and Everywhere", but I feel that they did not want Ringo to play on it was because they thought that the song can be done without drums.
His voice is just beautiful here.
Wanderlust is such a beautiful sounding song
Wow, that version of Wanderlust is actually better than on Tug of War, great song. I didn't appreciate that when I first heard it back in 1984. Beautiful.
This is lovely
The best 8 and half minutes I can think of
As much crap this movie gets thrown at, you can't deny that the performances of the songs are worth it.
What movie is this?
+alan rios Give My Regards To Broad Street.
Absolutely!
Studz Ramrod I really liked the movie, I don't get why people didn't like it. It was very good to me.
If all he did for this movie was the music and didn't try to string it all together with the awful plot and dialogue, it would have been worth the price of rental back in the day. Wore this album out on cassette.
This is magic!
Magical song. 💯
And magical performance!!
Wonderful Magick from the son of the magician.
This is a neat song me and my granddaughter just love to listen to Paul sing
porr ringo cant find the brushes
Damn.
What does it take to get that subhuman, magic alchemy...what did it take to 4 humble teenagers to bring that unbelievable amount of joy, comfort, pleasure to 3/4/5/6/7/8 BILLIONS people ?
Be blessed, Sirs.
A restricted AM radio station airplay top 40 playlist created the Beatles juggernaut! The radio playlist was and is controlled by AM radio execs and records producers!
The Beatles and The Rolling Stones band mates knew that they were the white society acceptable alternative to the American Afro American “soul” music!
Ask them! They will not deny it!
If you love good people, so you love Ringo, the greatest!
His guitar abilities are so easy
What a beautiful medley and gem of a video! Loved this! ❤❤
I think Sir Paul would be even happier, 🙋🥁with the participation of his friend Ringo 🇧🇷I think it would be a great March🎶🎼🎶👏👏👏👏👏👏

Such a cool guy....so much talent!!
This clip is from a segment from the video titled "Give My Regards to Broad Street" with an album of the same name recorded in 1984. The man with the coffee cup in his hand at minute mark 2:56 is English actor Bryan Brown playing the character Steve and the producer is none other than George Martin himself.
What a fantastic musician
Sequência perfeita! Paul junto com George são os meus compositores/letrista favoritos dos Beatles, mesmo o John tendo músicas boas também. Perfect

This scene is so funny !! Ringo at the time wasn't still comfortible playing Beatles songs with Paul, so Paul ask him for brushes only !!! LOL
This song will always be #1 for me
they played 3 songs..
That was recorded in 1980 in the Carrabean. The studio complex was destroyed in a hurricane, not long afterward. So it's been 43 yrs. I got tug of war for my 18th birthday in 1981.

I was in a few bands and when it was wives or girlfriends day we let it be known….if it wasn’t said there weren’t any guest invited to our practice sessions……no exceptions!!!
2019, and still love their songs, beatles forever
Ringo è meraviglioso, essenziale e preciso come un metronomo. Suona solo ke battute giste, niente di più ma riempie la canzone. Niente a che fare co batteristi rock che suonano troppo , troppo spesso. Unico come tutti i Beatles ❤
Ringo refused to play on any of the Beatles tracks, only on the Paul track; he didn't want anyone to think this was some kind of Beatles reunion.
That's not true at all. Ringo played on solo albums by all three other ex-Beatles.
Also all four Beatles played on Ringo's album in the mid-70s. No idea why you though this wasn't the case.

"Here, there, and everywhere" Is a song composed by Lennon and McCartney (McCartney) in direct response and influence of Brian Wilson's work at the time. Quite a tribute to the great Brian Wilson's genius and foresight.

He meant Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys. I actually just found out about him a few days ago, and from what I've read, he was truly a genius musician who made The Beach Boys as great as they were.
