I love Ani, one of the best date-night scents. It's better in the air, so I do agree with the commentary. On some occasions I wear this, on other occasions I prefer Intoxicated or Black Phantom from Kilian.
I was never a fan of sweet vanilla scents…that is, until Ani. And I love Aaron’s honest review. Although he didn’t particularly like it, he actually made me understand why I love this fragrance.
Thank you so much for doing this review! I was sad to hear you’re not a huge fan, but hey that’s the beauty of subjectivity. Personally I really love the prominent Citrus, Black currant and Cedar I get off my skin.
Such a great review Aaron.... I got sick of reviewers just saying "the best vanilla ever" with no real breakdown to what's going on... Not my bag I don't think 🦄
My favorite reviewer doesn't like one of my top 5, and that's just splendid. I respect Aaron's thorough review. He is so amazing and HONEST! Rare indeed.
Nishane Ani is one of my favorite fragrances, most people focus on the vanilla but that uplifting bergamot and ginger combination in the beginning absolutely floors me. A 10/10 fragrance in my rotation.
Appreciate the review Aaron 🙏 I agree, "not to everyone's liking". For a much affordable price, Lolita Lempicka's Green Lover, will give you that same vibe!! Trust & believe!! Keep em coming!
I appreciate your total honesty! I love Ani because it isn't like so many other fragrances out there! Originality gets a lot of points from me so long as it is- as you say - high quality and obviously wearable. I am sure it isn't for everyone but it is an awesome 'spicy vanilla'...and ginger isn't used enough in perfumery in my opinion...Thank you for this review. xoxo
Hey Aaron I completely agree. If you smell Ani up close on the skin it’s a little hard on the nose. I usually spray on the back of the neck and on the end of the shoulders to create a bubble of Ani around me. Spraying on the front of the neck will give you a guaranteed headache. This fragrance does get addicting the more you wear it. Depending on ambient temperatures, new facets of this fragrance come to light. Very intriguing fragrance.
Hmmm it sounds like it's too sweet like armani code absolu as that's the reason you recommend not to spray it near your nose as code absolu behaves the same way when sprayed close to the nose which gives major headaches.
I love watching your reviews not only because I've already learned so much from them but also because you describe both, the note breakdown and also the character, the vibe of the fragrances. And you do it with your whole body. It helps me sense if the scent will be something I like or not (and I'm not saying our tastes are the same - some of the fragrances you hate, I love). I wish you could review more of Andy Tauer's fragrances - Sundowner or Incense Rose. That'd be so exciting :)
I love Ani. Ani & Xerjoff's Ivory Route are a couple of my favorites for really spicy vanilla when I'm in the mood for it. Anyone who hasn't explored Nishane really should!
Not a fan of Nishane. Most all of their scents are way too bombastic and intrusive. Very annoying to wear. Extremely nauseating off skin, have to catch wigs only. Must spray on wrists never on neck .
Hey Aaron. Would love to see how you come up with formulations for your own fragrances that you make. Like what’s the process, which notes work together with each other, and maybe do a video from start of the formulation to the end finish product. Your content is the best!
Ani is beautiful to me. I appreciate your honesty and ability to assess a fragrance regardless of personal taste. Would be interested in seeing you review Psychedelique from Jovoy...
Thank you for your Brilliant Analysis! I actually absolutely love this and have my bottle. This perfume is Rich, Thick, Sweet and a dose of Heavy Vanilla!!... Long lasting and good projection off my skin! 😍👌
I love this one, it’s a unique vanilla. I didn’t like it at first then I kept going back to it. It’s offers so much entertainment all day as it evolves. Also, Love the beard Aaron 🌞
I like Ani, a great vanilla scent imo. I prefer it on my girlfriend, to be honest, but it's a very pleasant and expensive smelling fragrance to me. Keep the great reviews coming, Aaron 👍
I love this fragrance. I didn't like it so much at first. Had to grow on me. But I will spray this on my arm at night so I can smell it. It's calming to me, even tho it's a beast of a fragrance.
I love that you included the part where you forgot the ending :-) that made me laugh so hard :-) I love bloopers. And I loved the review :-) I did want to say though, you said ethylmaltol two times and you didn't say whipping through the base so... Don't know how to feel about the review of :-) LOL I love this scent and I love this company. They are awesome! Thanks again
Funny he had a very similar experience with Ani… wasn’t a fan at first but as I go back to it I find myself liking it more and more. Tons of compliments when I wear it too so I’ll probably get a bottle once this 5ml runs out
I was wearing one of your creation yesterday at work Urban Fake 30ml bottle and OMG the people around me compliment me all the time, only few times this happened to me I fell a bit uncomfy but same time like a sexy man I am :))) ... Thank you Aaron for you amazing reviews !!!
This fragrance is a 10/10 for me. The way the ginger hits you at the opening is my favorite part, but the spice lasts a very long time as well. The vanilla and rose is definitely present the whole time, ginger for the first 1/3 of the fragrance. It's a nice spicy ginger and freshness of bergamot, with a hint of rose. As the fragrance dries the rose becomes more jammy and sweet as the vanilla becomes the most dominant part of the fragrance. The ambroxan helps make the ginger feel spicier and more zingy and helps with the warm feeling from the vanilla. Thia fragrance is not only long lasting, but for me, I never go nose blind to it, so I smelling it in the air off of myself the entire time I'm wearing it. Love it
Haha, Greta, I blind bought it because of you😊 (only a small sample, don’t worry:) Not really liking it so far (_just_ sprayed it, though) feels like it’s going a bit sour on me. But relieved to hear you had to give it a few goes as well. Thanks for introducing me to the fun world of perfumes! I’m SO enjoying it!
Late to this review but I had the exact same reaction to nishane ani to where I didn't like it at all at first then as I'm wearing it it's so addictive and you can't stop smelling.. truely amazing fragrance because at first it seems to sharp and intense but it pulls you in, and now I love it.
Hi Aaron! ❤️ This review is Fantastic! 👏 I often wonder about how sweet scents are made/structured, thank you! One day, if you can, kindly review Hermes 24 Faubourg (the original Maurice Roucel formulation; perhaps compare to Jean Claude Ellena’s version?). Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
THIS! I've been waiting on this one. It's one of my favorites. I thought you would like it, but I get what you're saying. Love your opinion and break down as always. 🦄🦄🦄
I was waiting for you to review this. I was almost certain you would LOVE this. I was wrong ha ha . maybe if you get wafs of it from a distance you will like it more. I love this scent. I am not a huge vanilla fan,... but this I love. Greetings from Berlin
I'm pretty much in the same boat. I own it and I enjoy it but bloody hell is it sweet. I think I might enjoy this more if they toned down the vanilla, increased the benzoin and patchouli some, and threw in a little oud at the base. I'd be curious to see how that would smell in comparison since there's every chance this would completely ruin it! lol
This one is gonna crawl up on you, and you'll like it more and more after repeated wearings. It's a green unusual type of Vanille that is irritating at first, but later you'll realize Nishane has created one of the sexiest Vanille scents ever here. Especially when you try it in the very cold winter, because I feel this one really strives and succeeds in very cold temperatures, unlike Naxos which you can put on a average warm Spring day.
You are very handsome and charismatic... I also agree with your opinions about NİSHANE ANI. I go back and forth too. It's not for me, but it smells nice..♥♥♥
I adore Ani! It’s such an effervescent gingery vanilla on my skin that dries down with a creamy woody sandalwood. It works on my skin, the ginger and vanilla really sing. And I love how it performs too. Nishane is one of my favourite houses as all their fragrances are constructed so beautifully and with quality ingredients. On another note I also just bought Onyx Extreme and Ozone along with 2 x 10ml decants of Blood Orange and the Gardenia one from MaxAroma which I can’t wait to receive! I do wish you shipped direct to Australia Aaron..🤍
Having this in my collection I knew its something special..love zorokian's work and the blends she does. Aaron had a question do you have a oud from your collection you recommend that is sweet and smoky?
Fantastic and honest review as always. With that said, that beard bro… looking good!😉👊🏿 And another breaking down with these like George. Sorry to hear that man…😔
Love the honesty! When i went heavy on Ani for the first time, my girlfriend almost went unconscious when she entered my flat. But three hours later we're on the couch and she suddenly goes "Wait... I love this now". That opening can be a kick in the face (i love it), but the drydown is really nice in the air.
@@alexg.9279 Ani is great at first but the dry down gets too vanilla 😞 so it was a no go for me. So if you're not into vanilla dry downs, then avoid. Or maybe see if you can try it somewhere
Aaron! Some people love this but not me, I personally love sandalwood and oud smells. But I came across a sandalwood cologne which sounds quite interesting, LORENZO VILLOROSI SANDALO, I personally haven't tried it but it sounds sublime, I would love to hear your thoughts before I get a sample.xxx
I truly appreciate your honesty!
