Men Can't Be Victims: Female Narcissist Abuse

The idea that men can be victims of domestic violence has gained some credibility with the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard verdict. The media, while paying lip service to the idea occasionally, still fail to take the issue seriously, not least in its depiction of men being physically abused for comic effect in popular culture.

Commented...My wife would call me a narcissist ad a gaslighter. Funnily enough projecting your own issues on to others is a trait of a narcissist. See my comment. I'd like to know if there are options to fix it.

    • @sigmarecovery699
      @sigmarecovery699 ปีที่แล้ว

@@jeff_in_a_box No. It cannot be fixed. The only weapon in the toolbox for the victim that is effective is permanent “no contact”. These folks are addicted to controlling and abusing others. They get a “high” from it, called supply or fuel. They must be in control. Any perceived attempt to change, modify their behavior, criticize them, is viewed as a threat to control. They respond by punishing the person that does this. They feel entitled to control and abuse others, they view themselves as “god”. It is a condition that cannot be treated or cured. It’s maladaptive and the addiction gets worse as they age, as their looks fade and their mind becomes more feeble, it is harder to get fuel and supply. The carnage they leave in their wake also starts to catch up to them.

I dated a woman who absolutely broke me into a million tiny pieces. It started like every man’s dream just about a year and a half ago now, last January at the height of my junior year in high school, we were perfect then. We had even started thinking larger on the scale of the rest of our lives together, until around the 6 month mark of that summer. Before that 4 months in, I had to witness a suicide attempt, and I physically glued her arms shut to prevent her own death, as I thought I loved her. That summer, she cheated on me with my best friend and tore us apart, but then began to play us both for fools, lying to us both behind our backs. She eventually dropped him and kept me, and it kept getting worse. She would constantly cheat on me and gaslight me, telling me she hates me, before quickly changing and begging me to stay. She’d constantly threaten her own life to make me feel bad before turning it off just like nothing happened, before lying to me about spending time with her college friends when in reality she was off to another hookup to have sex with another man. I was institutionalized this past October as my mind was completely shattered, and even still she wouldn’t let me run, and due to what she was doing to my mind, for some reason I wanted to stay, even though the gaslighting became physical abuse. She became almost a sex and alcohol addict, and if I failed to provide either, she would beat me, or rape me. If we were in my room and she wanted sex and I didn’t, she would take it anyway, doing to me whatever she wanted, including putting things in places they shouldn’t go for someone such as myself, purchasing things to continue this. In December she led me to a situation that had me nearly beheaded by machete with my car windows smashed and the car body scratched and dented to hell, with a machete. I was rushed to a hospital in a neck brace as paramedics were afraid my spine and collarbone may have been broken from the beating I had been taking and the blunt force at the back of my neck. Despite that, she didn’t testify to the police what had happened, and the people who aimed to murder me walked free with no charges. In February when I refused to drive her to a package store to buy alcohol as she was underage, she viciously beat me again, and just as I had in December, I didn’t fight back or defend myself. Even after all of that she held on to me. Then in the end of March she cut me off, telling me what a piece of shit I was for trying to care for her and love her, which I still truly believed I did, and on her way out she basically called me a friendless worthless piece of human garbage, leaving me to realize the whole thing was just to tear me down and drive in the final nail that would kill me, as she had tried many times before to get me to kill my self with her, where I’d catch her watching me in near satisfaction as I swung, with no intention to follow. Luckily for me, my best friend got out earlier than I did and realized this sooner, after suffering many of the same issues I had, even getting stabbed in the neck by a pocket knife and rushed to the hospital, where he took the blame on himself to save her from prosecution. He understood, and we rekindled our friendship, and now 3 months later after I spent this past April abroad gigging with my school jazz band, I am fully healed, and he’s right now with me in my summer home where we’re having the time of our lives before college. Unfortunately, this devil of a woman we had the displeasure of knowing left a lasting imprint on us, and things won’t ever be the same, as now we both have severe ptsd and trust issues, yet no person will believe our story once it is told since this modern day and age dictates no woman is capable of such things as these, relating them back to us claiming that we simply followed the status quo of the modern man, claiming our fault in the matter.
Within all this, I say one thing for anyone reading who is in a bad relationship or senses trouble:
    Run while you still can.
No one believes us anymore since it’s unfathomable for things like this to happen to us, and it isn’t worth it to stay.
The world is cruel, but there are good people still left, run and find them, and get as far away as you can from toxic people in your life, because if you give them too much of a platform they will fucking destroy you and your family without a second thought.
Thoughts and prayers to anyone who’s seeing even an eighth of the torture some of these creatures can produce. 🙏🙏

From your account, in my unprofessional but informed opinion, the individual you've described exhibits the hallmarks of BPD. It might help you to understand what happened to you to research the condition and how those with it often end up victimising others, as well as make you even more keen in seeing the warning signs. While people with BPD deserve a level of compassion as they're not all bad people, or at least they don't desire to be, the ones who are utterly controlled and corrupted by their impulses invariably make for some of *the* most diabolical partners you can imagine.

Still silently suffering from the abuse I went through. Sadly there is no justice for men who experience abuse. Glad that 10 years later I can search online and actually see that I'm not alone.... the damage is already done. Help....
Edited 1 year later: to all that found me outside of this post, blessings! To everyone else. I'm good! Watching this video brought up so memories I'd forgotten about. While watching it, what you see above just came out of me. At the time of the original post, I've been in a 10 year relationship, I have a family, my NEW girl/wife is nothing like the ex, she's fun and great to be around. Quite frankly I enjoy coming home. Long story short, all is well and been well. To any others going through it, there is some solid suggestions in the comments. Some I've used over the years and seeing these comments validated my healing process in that chose the right healing methods. I'd like to add 1 thing. Make sure you keep yourself groomed and don't fall in the slump of not taking care of yourself. Also have a roster of female friends. Ladies you don't make s3xual advances at all towards. Preferably slightly older than you. Their wisdom is golden.
Get rid of all YES men in your life. Have friends that will out of love tell you your full of ish.
Again thank you all that reached outside of this post to find me. I wish you nothing but all the blessings this world can offer you!!!

I only met these two kids now 25 year old adults in 2022 and they have had a tough life of abuse too and were homeless for a time because of her addiction. And even now she is trying to make them like her she is literally feeding one of them drugs and abusing him and even now NO ONE has ever helped. And she has never been in any trouble for it. This is the issue is women and people like this exist and the system is built to not believe men.

There are also thousands of stories on the internet from men who filed those reports and later thanked their lucky stars that they did because their attorneys we're able to use them to protect them and even win custody of their kids. So suffer the ridicule of an idiot officer if you must, but get that report filed because it will be a useful tool for you legally.

I love that at the beginning “just walk away” yeah that’s easy to say until you have a woman seething with rage, running at you, beating you, ripping at your hair and clothes, biting you. It’s really fucking hard to put enough distance between you and her when she’s coming after you. You wanna lose your shit but you try so hard to keep your composure and even when you use the smallest amount of force to just put distance or restrain them, you get demonized. When I was getting beat at 2 am I tried to leave. Got outside but she grabbed me and when she pulled me to the ground and I pried myself away somebody called the police and I was the one who went to jail. I was in jail for 4 days with a felony strangulation charge because in the heat of the moment I had my hand on her neck (didn’t actually choke her my hand just ended up there). She wasn’t pressing charges but the police were. I thought my life was over. Luckily all charges were dropped because there was no case and a mishandling of evidence as she had no marks on her and the police took no photos of all the injuries on me. I stayed at my moms for a month fucked up from the trauma of getting abused, having 5 squad cars pull up on my car after I had left (I left once I got free of her and started to come back when she told me cops were there) all with guns drawn on me, and suffering in jail for 4 days thinking my life was over with a felony I didn’t commit. Eventually I went back to her on the promise things would be different and of course they weren’t. Just left again and for good this time as she refused to get help on her own. I can’t handle the physical abuse but I also can’t handle all the horrible things she’s said to me. I have no personal value. I just wanna die. I started hurting myself again in that relationship. I don’t feel like I can function anymore. I feel so dirty and weak. We have a daughter together and the abuse never happened until we had her but the tendencies were there. And it scares me

as a child rape victim and a man, i see a whole lot of support locally for women, but never anything for men.
the societal hypocrisy that a man can only do damage to a woman, is not even true as men are disabled from defending ourselves from abusive women. we do? oh we are abusers, not the abuser herself!
and don't even bother with walking away like dr phil said, we'll look guilty by doing that.
nobody should be abusing men, women or children. we do so on kids in school by telling them to sit down, shut up and do as your told, and back when it was acceptable to whoop men but spoil the daughter, men were victims often at young ages of abuse, while the daughter was treated like a queen who could do no wrong.
then today, grown men are being abused by women, both physically and emotionally. nobody should be abused. ever. but women like to abuse men, they even go as far as become literal experts in manipulation.

I have been through this…..started with my abusive mother. Primed me for abuse. Married a narcissistic women and after being abused by her, I jumped from narcissistic relationship to narcissistic relationship. The most recent one, we were off and on for three years. I knew I had a problem but the chaos of the relationships seemed “normal” to me. I went “no contact” with the most recent one after she got drunk and kicked me in the head. Wasn’t the first time I had been assaulted in a romantic relationship. One split my head open when she got drunk and drove her knee into my head. Men don’t have a platform to discuss this issue. We are often blamed, shamed, and labeled as “weak” by men and women and by professionals we approach for treatment. All my exes were very attractive, just makes it easier for them to fly under the radar. One had a masters in sociology and was a social worker. She was an alcoholic and a drug addict behind the scenes. Even made “jokes” about wanting to cannibalize me. She would laugh at people that were hurt or sick. Again, a social worker. She worked with the dying, I have no doubt that she “helped” a few to die quicker. She bragged about bossing the attending nurses and doctors around regarding the use of pain meds (she was an opiate addict). One time when she was at my house and I refused to go home with her, she got pissed and said, “you don’t know how POWERFUL I am”. When drunk, she told me that if she worked in a prison, she would be the one to sleep with all the prisoners. If she wasn’t madly in “love” with me, she hated me. Once, I woke up in her bed and she was just staring at me…..said something about wanting to keep my body “forever”. I know, this stuff sounds insane….the crazy thing is that when you aren’t being abused, you are being adored. It’s a tactic to keep you hooked in. Creates an addiction to the neurotransmitter, “dopamine”. When you break up, you go through withdrawal….depression, anxiety, sadness, it feels like you “miss them”. When you get back together, you get a “rush” or a “high”. Each time you leave and come back, the “high” gets smaller and the abuse gets worse. It’s an addictive or compulsive behavior on the part of the victim and narcissist. It’s codependency, which is rooted in childhood trauma. Hard for a man to admit to being codependent or abused. I learned the behavior from my parents. It’s a tragedy. I’m in recovery. My goal? To bring the darkness into the light.

    • @sigmarecovery699
      @sigmarecovery699 ปีที่แล้ว +9

@@turtle19dad Yep. Accurate. I have been there as well. The behavior portrayed is part of the obsession the abuser has with their victim. It’s a stalking behavior. Like their male counterparts, abusive women are obsessed with control. At their core, is a very human fear of abandonment. The victim displaying any sort of independence or autonomy threatens the abusers sense of control, ultimately triggering the abandonment fear. Abusers have a strong voyeuristic impulse. The stalking behaviors and obsession with control initially may be discounted by the victim or others initially as “normal” or just “puppy love”. In the beginning and periodically during the relationship, the victim is lavished with adoration, attention, gifts, sex, etc (idealization). The abuser views their victim at this stage as “perfect”. The victim is the “solution” to all the abusers romantic failings, as the abuser views themselves as “god”, they must elevate their victim to the same status. This is a temporary state, the abuser repeats this cycle endlessly with each new victim. Idealize, devalue, discard, and replace. The sad reality for the abuser is that they will never be able to form a healthy attachment; deep down…..some of them are aware of this reality…..they are codependents, they cannot be alone. Without another person to “mirror” and validate them, they psychologically begin to decompensate….drifting into psychosis. If no one else is around, it feels like they do not exist, tantamount to “dying”. It’s a quiet and permanent state of desperation that always hounds them. For other men that have experienced or are experiencing this sort of abuse, permanent “no contact” is the only option. You must leave and never go back. The compulsion that drives the abuser just gets worse as the relationship continues and as the abuser ages. It’s like a drug addiction, the abuser gets a “high” from the abuse. It’s a maladaptive behavior that cannot be “cured” or fixed. Some of these women have and will kill. “If I can’t have you nobody will”. If they can’t kill you, the also relish in the idea of driving a victim to suicide.

You can't 'discuss' anything with these people. You can only add your voice to the opposition and hope that, collectively, you're words will begin to drown out theirs.

There's nothing like it. I remember hiding in parts of the house to try to sleep, hoping she wouldn't find me and assault me, 7 months of abuse nightly, no one believes you or no one cares. once I left the legal abuse started. Its been 8 years, I don't think I will ever go back to living with a woman and I certainly wont marry. Women have avenues and outlets for their grievances, men are told to shut up and deal, and often that we deserve it. I still don't deal well with people coming up the stairs, people at the door, and I sleep with a weapon next to me as a result of it. One of things I found interesting, is if you have a male friend group, they often cant truly be sources of support if they are partnered, and you are often ostracized from your former friends if you choose to stay single afterwards. I genuinely hope every male enduring this silently, because that's your only choice, finds the strength to leave and tell their story honestly.

I once went to a counselor, and admitted that the relationship I was in at the time featured verbal and physical abuse. My girlfriend at the time had made a point of telling me, regularly I might add, that I was worthless and I was lucky to have her around to "keep me in shape", which basically meant that she'd hit me and scream at me over nothing at all.
The part that kills me is that the counselor, having heard my story and seeing firsthand how things have negatively affected me (including suicidal ideation, which is why I was there to begin with), basically told me that women do not abuse men, and my girlfriend only ever said and did those things because I had done something to hurt her first- IE: *I deserved it* . I was willing to write it off as her being incompetent, but then my own sister said the same thing. She listened to me tell her that the girl I was with treated me like trash, and just asked "Okay, but what did you do to set her off?".

I try extremely hard to live with her and her issues. But while I am managing my issues WITHOUT having it spill over into the lives of my loved ones, she continues to abuse our marriage and blames her issues. To an extent, it is true. She has not control over some of what she does.
What bothers me, is the lack of capitalizing on the good days. When she has a good day she doesn't love all up on me and remind me of why I married her. She just blames her Mental Health and carries on.

You obviously greatly love your partner; you're married for Pete's sake! Marriage is about being there for your spouse in both sickness and in health, and sickness can look different from person to person. I know that having a loved one with BPD can make sensitive discussions difficult to navigate, but it might be worth a try to gently voice your feelings about the issue when you can. You know your wife better than I do, though, and you've probably already tried it. I know how easy it is to start to feel trapped/stuck while in a relationship that feels like each and every discussion already has a predetermined outcome. I feel like communication at this phase is more important than ever.
Sorry for rambling. My thoughts are with you friend, and I hope warm days are coming your way. Stay strong and do the best you can, even if your best looks different from day to day.

I was 20 years old and started a relationship wtih an older woman, 31. Due to my inexperience and my "puppy love glasses" I ignored multiple red flags. (excessive drinking, several exes, 2 children from different men etc.)
She was latin-american and lived in America. I was european. I visited her there and ended up being a prisoner. She took my passport away, stole my money and made me do all the work around the house, whilst physically and mentally abusing me.
I had cigaret burns all over my arms, chest and back. I had cuts, slashes, bruises and more all over my body. I was cut by razorblades and scissors, hit with belts and old cables.
She had her friends come over to take turns in beating me.
When finally managed to get my stuff back and was trying to leave she nearly murdered me. She stuck a knife into my chest and missed my heart with 0.2 inches. (0.5 cm).
CPS took her kids away, the judge sent her to jail for:
Assault, Assault with a deadly weapon, Drug possession and intent to sell, kidnapping. attempted murder in the second degree, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.
I was at the time informed she took a plea deal where she basically confessed to certain crimes. I was convinced she'd still get some decent jail time.
They gave her 6 years in jail. She tortured me for 3 months straight, kidnapped me and nearly murdered me and only received 6 years for it. The only reason for it was that she didn't have manparts. I was outraged and asked why the fuck they went for a plea deal when they could have easily send her to jail for 15/20 years.
They told me "because she's a mom." You're fucking kidding me........................
Karma came for her though. 4 years later I was informed by a mutual friend (I was living back in my own country) that she had been involved in a prison altercation and had lost her cognitive ability. Basically turning her into a vegetable.
I don't feel proud of how I felt at the time, but I was happy she found this horrible fate. She deserved it.
She has since passed away (2 years ago) due to complications and again, though I'm not proud of my feeling about it, felt nothing but happiness and glee that this piece of trash pretend human being was gone from this earth.
I am now married to a woman that has on multiple occasions has shown me what real love, femininity and true caring for someone is like. After 10 years together, she still surprises me. I love her more then anything and she's been nothing but patient with me as she helped me through and passed all my trauma.
The biggest problem I faced was the reaction of other people. I'm 192 CM's tall, (6.3/6,4) and weighed 95 kilo's ( 210 pounds) while she was just 166 cm (5.4) and weighed 58 kilo (127 pounds) and thus no one believed me when I said there was nothing I could do. As a guy like that retaliation was not an option, because she threatened me multiple times no one would believe me and the police would believe her instead of me.
Even with a knife in my chest and all my wounds all over my body and her being completely prestine, the police still questioned if I had done something to "trigger this response".
Men are always seen as the aggressor so it does not surprise me anymore when I see this kind of bs behavior, still hurts when your own family and friends make fun of you for getting abused like that.

I remember watching the film Hustlers and there's a part where those women drugged those men they partied with so they can steal his money without his consent or free will of knowing what is he doing. And the cops laughed at the men who were taken advantage of by the women. Double standards really get under my skin and I hate them so much. The biggest thing in that movie is those women in that film never went to prison to atone for their crimes against the men they hurt. It pisses me off at society how they brush off any evil a woman does to a man, but if a man does any of those toxic things to woman they would crucify him.

Some ex-friends of mine always used to tell me that "Men created Misandrism." And I wondered.. "How the fuck did men create Misandrism?" It never made sense and yet all 3 of those friends who kept preaching this toxic femininity were actively manipulating me and abusing me emotionally. And by the time I nipped the bud on that whole situation it was too late. It's almost as if they excused all the awful shit women do to men and get away with it to "A society men created." and that's all they'd say! It's such a ridiculous notion, a society is made by people of any kind, and any gender. Men didn't create society, we collectively are a society because that's what humans do best, collect together in massive groups. I'm so frustrated and tired that I had to survive and endure all that backstabbing and emotional discomfort (adding to events that happened in my past) because I am a man and have to SUCK IT UP. They'd even tell me to open up while actively making the situation infinitely worse. I will say one thing and one thing only. No one should have to endure this pain and no one should have to be wrongly judged because they are a man. We all deserve equal rights and representation.

I am a survivor of female narcissist abuse in my own family, from both my mother and my grandmother. I was taught that you never hit a woman, which I never have but there was NO help for the abuse I suffered. Men are not taken seriously when the abuser is a woman, it has been that way the entire of my life. My nan used to beat me and my mother tried to convince people that I was mentally unwell when I came out as gay. My Nan touched me when I was 12 as I went to live with them, she beat me and she emotionally abused me, telling me she wish my mother had an abortion.
When I tried to get help at school, I was ignored and they called my Nan to tell her what I had been saying. I cried myself to sleep most nights as a teenager, wanting somebody to come and save me but because put on this act of being the "nice, elderly woman", nobody believed me. I am also autistic so my Nan would tell the school that I was making up lies and they would believe her. Never got justice.
A woman in a Nightclub I was in when I was 18 sexually assaulted me, I was dancing and out for a drink and she grabbed me and full on kissed me on the dance floor and when I told her I was gay, she said "I can make you straight". I was so terrified and felt so violated, I left and went straight home.
So many men go through stuff like this and are completely shut up and ignored by institutions that only want to focus on woman because it's fashionable. Its an over-compensation for how woman were treated in the Victorian era.

I used to go to nightclubs with friends just to really have fun with them. I wasn't there to pick up girls nor I ever wanted to do it there. I was just there to have a few drinks and dance/fuck around with friends, nothing else. But there were a couple times where I'd be waiting in line to get a drink and a girl, some even looked underaged, would grind on me, grab me or try to/and kiss me. It certainly wasn't a great feeling, and the way they responded to me either moving away or just telling them "No, not interested." wasn't great either.

I am out of my freshman year of high school now and only a year ago I was sexually assaulted by a girl two years younger than me. She was malicious and tried to get me to touch her as well.
I didn't understand it when it happened so I told one friend about it and asked him what he think was going on, and he walked through the hallway at school shouting that i touched a sixth grader. It took him six months to understand what really happened because I didn't want to talk to him about it again for a while. Tried to tell another friend, he looked me dead in the face and chuckled, saying "You're the only guy I know who wouldn't like getting touched by a woman."

As a male who has suffered sexual abuse, _(I spent like 5 minutes contemplating admitting this because I worry that I will be the one seen as the abuser.)_ this was just so heart wrenching to hear and so are the comments. Please for the love of any and everything, please reply to this comment with your story. I not only need to feel like I’m not alone, but also help people.
This is a lengthy comment so if you don’t feel like reading this I understand.
As a male I’ve always been told to put myself before others even if It means death because It’s the right thing. But I was recently told by a female friend:
_there’s this ideology that as a woman you let the man serve you, if you’re in danger, wait for a man to save you, if you see a man in danger, help him if It doesn’t put you in harms way._ It truly shocks me how selfless behavior is rewarded with at most a compliment or usually in my case, called a weirdo. Mildly unrelated but last week I held the door open for a girl my age not thinking much about it because I hold the door for everybody. But it just hurt when I heard her say: “Eww, stop, I have a boyfriend.” I was genuinely so confused and shocked and It’s crazy how simply looking at some girls will make them assume you’re attracted to them. Something about society assuming guys can’t be victims is truly insanity. In cinema the dynamic of that slap scenario is incredibly double standardized because what If the roles were reversed? What if that was a man slapping her? Well, he’s an abuser, he is lashing out for no reason, he’s a bad person. But when It’s a girl, the guy is still an abuser. She’s just stressed and needs love and help. But why the hell is the same not applied to me? I need love too man… I never lash out, and the times where I have enough and burst, It’s seen as irrational. I think a huge contributing factor to men not wanting or feeing comfortable enough to cry is because of the vicious cycle of fearing the worst. You get called weak. If you cry when you’re being abused like me, you get called irrational. You’re exaggerating. You’re “malfunctioning”. I hear that one from my OWN mother a lot. What am I? A robot. I genuinely just feel like a robot that could be used for an intended purpose like the device I’m typing this on just to not form a connection with the robot but the use from that robot. Ever thought of It that way?
I may sound irrational with this rant, but for those who have someone there for them at all times, Imagine that you had nobody to turn to, and the people you believe you can tell you that’s your the problem, you’re not a victim. I genuinely hate just how belittled I’ve become because I was contemplating whether or not I would be lying If I stated I was a “victim” of child abuse because I’m always told that the things I experience aren’t abuse. My mom subconsciously agrees with the double standards of women having to stand up to men, but men can’t stand up to women. She always tells me that psychological abuse and verbal abuse is still considered abuse. And I’m glad she recognizes that. But she tells me that I have an amazing home life when she goes from 0 to 100 instantly and used the excuse of stress. If stress justifies putting others including your own kids with your words, why is it so frowned upon when a dad does it? How come a mom slaps her kid and she’s just having a hard time and she needs to “work on it” but when a dad slaps a child people immediately draw the imagine in their mind of a deadbeat alcoholic father with no morals. I wish I had more physical affection when I was younger. And I also hate how physical affection is so frowned upon for men. I hate how I genuinely have to give reasons for why I want a hug and why I deserve it when I see girls hugging each other without asking and not being weirded out.
Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to read this! I’m genuinely sorry If any of my views or opinions upset you or didn’t align with your views, this video brought up so many emotions and memories that I’ve bottled up. I assume you don’t hear this enough so I’m going to break the ice and normalize it. I may not know you, but I love you. It sounds weird but it’s something we need to normalize. I don’t love anybody for their uses, but for them face value. You’re an amazing person and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Please If you resonated with this tell me ❤

Love hearing other peoples story’s. I hate how society now makes us men feel “weak” or “unmanly” if we cry. That’s what mostly hit me in your comment. I’m a guy that leans more “emotionally”. I still think logically but I can be affected by emotions rather quickly compared to other guys… so I thought. The more and more friends I meet or men I talk to I see a common thing in every single one of them. Usually I can see them holding back their emotion or I know they are feeling an emotion they just aren’t showing it. I was just lucky enough to grow up in a household where my parents helped me when I would cry (usually from mental illness like anxiety and clinical depression). I feel like every guy has a big emotional side that is kind of pushed to the side and forgotten about.
Story about my relationship: My now ex was mostly verbally abusive. She wouldn’t swear or threaten me but she would blame me for everything and gaslight me to the point where she would convince me. She never actually cared for me also. I became suicidal during the relationship because of personal things that will take too long to explain on here but she would always say that she is here for me even if it was midnight or 2am. Well, when the time came I would call and she wouldn’t pick up. The next day she would give an excuse of “oh my ringer isn’t working”. One time she didn’t even knowI called. I ended it saying how she didn’t love me and that she doesn’t care, she started fake crying lol. Again, my issue is no where near as bad as the comments I’ve read so far
I just wish that the emotional side of men is talked about more or at least recognized more. It’s kind of what you said… we are like robots. At least that’s how society looks at us. Luckily my emotional side was pretty well taken care of up till high school. In that span my parents told me to toughen up a little more. They would help me but sophomore year I just stopped telling them what I was dealing with because it wouldn’t get addressed.
Sorry for the long comment too. Hope your day goes well

Thanks for making this video. I was assaulted in a nightclub by an ex female friend who then tried to lie and say that I was aggressive towards her.
Thankfully all of our friends see what had happened and didn’t believe her story.
That’s not taking into account the emotional abuse I got in the background over months.
First it started off with small things, like belittling me, calling me a vagina (because I’m more sensitive than the average man)
Then when I made mistakes and had fallen out with another friend of ours who she had ever right not to be happy with me but she went out of her way to make me feel worse.
I also found out that my ex girlfriend left me because she was scared of this person because from day one this woman hated my girlfriend and her only reasons were
“I hate her voice and clothes. You can do so much better than her”
Shortly after she threatened my girlfriend with violence on my birthday (I was at the bar)
    She left me shortly after.
Making me feel isolated from everyone we knew.
Then when I had healed enough to go out the abuser was there. She told me through friends to stay away from her so I did.
She then approached me, tapped me and I took a step aside.
    Then she slapped me.
Sounds like the rules only apply to her.
I then verbally stood up for myself and told her the truth that she has been horrible to me, then she head butted me.
I decided not to report her to the police because I felt I wouldn’t be taken seriously or it would turn out to be my fault.
    Sorry for the long story.
But my point is abuse is never acceptable and when it happens please speak up.
Especially us men, we need to break the stigma.

You know what's even sadder about this- there aren't hardly any women talking about this here in the comments at all because all women like modern women think that they are the prize they can do whatever they want without taking any accountability and it's sad that that one man died and she only got 16 months in jail she killed them and they still defended her even though she admitted to violently abusing this man she still got off because she's a woman!
Women always say we need a man to lead we need a man to take control they don't because when a man does try to step up this type of things happen they get abused they get a torture to get belittled when they go to the police they get laughed at and this is the reason why the whole passport bros thing is a thing because women in the western world are terrible women not all but a lot of them?!!!
German stand up for yourself if you're not in a marriage in the Western world please pack your bags and go get a woman from a different country that believes in traditional values so you wouldn't be in the Johnny Depp case it took a very famous actor for this to even really really come out like this!!!

They call us men sexist, when it's utterly sexist to assume because I'm a male i cannot be traumatized or a victim of anything. It's truly sad how low some women think of men that we're somehow incapable of being abused by someone we love. It sucks seeing feminism going from equality ages ago to now superiority over men. We give women the seed to birth life into them, and we're forgotten as the ones who put a baby in them. We're said we are not need in this society and women can live without us, yet we've built pretty much all of society' Infrastructure and technology. It's a sad world that a whole gender is being discouraged for building pretty much everything around us

Me and my girlfriend were best friends for YEARSSSS before we started dating, and she liked occasionally punching my arm, not hard at all, just a playful punch. One day she did it in public and a Karen got mad at ME and tried saying I hit her, she called the cops and since I live in a small town, cops know me for good stuff cause I help out around the community. Basically the Karen got physical and actually struck me, she was arrested for assault on a minor. Just wanted to share this story to show that sometimes, woman can get arrested for attacking a man, but it’s still rare…

I hate the line “you never hit a women” I grew up in a family of women and I was taught to always defend my self, doesn’t matter if there small or big or if there male or female, if someone lays THERE hands on YOU! You are allowed to defend your self and fight back proportionally. This idea of not laying your hands on women came from the mid 1900s when men would beat there wife’s, but now that that is not common place anymore that saying really needs to go away

My best friend in undergrad seemed like the perfect friend at the first... but it didn't take long for her to start stonewalling, to start lying, to start guilt tripping, and to start gaslighting
It reached a point so bad that our final conversation had these major pieces.
She instantly started the discussion saying that she had a boyfriend to trigger me, I really loved her and wanted to be with her. I ended up learning she had one for months, she just never told me, she withheld that info until it would hurt me most.
she accused me of sexual harassment. The incident in question? a conversation that I know for a fact I asked her "am I really okay when I send sexual memes towards you?" and she said, quoting exactly here "you are more than fine, one of my friends [boyfriend at the time] sends me warwick porn, you're okay." This convo was only a month old. Nothing was communicated that changed that consent. That didn't stop her from accusing me of a crime, retroactively revoking affirmative consent.
She accused me of using suicide threats to manipulate her. I never did that. At times I did mention that I was having suicidal thoughts, because, you know, I thought she was a close friend that cared. She claimed she cared, but when push came to shove she believed I was manipulating her.
She straight up admitted to stonewalling, proudly, as if there wasn't anything wrong with it.
She did all of this in public, to completely emotionally destroy and humiliate me.
And I was so fucking deep in it that I agreed to take a break from the friendship, and my last words to her were "stay being awesome"
When I spoke out about this, I got very little support, and even had someone threaten to report me on her behalf to the university. I was told to shut up, and not speak about it. When I spoke about this I was accused of being misogynistic, taking away from womens issues, looking for attention, looking to entrap another vulnerable woman. I still occasionally speak up and get similar responses
At this point, I have felt the effects of the abuse, and it's fallout, for almost as long as I knew her. Part of that is because of consistent retraumatization during the fallout. Some of that is because I have had latent issues from my mother that came to the surface during my healing. I still get triggered and turn into a hateful, depressed, nihilistic person. I don't think I will ever be whole, not in the same way I was. My relationship to women in general has soured. I just have zero agency. With a man I know if he is abusive I can respond and get it taken care of appropriately. I don't have that with a woman. I am completely powerless. And that is what keeps me awake at night. That is why I'm petrified to ever get into another relationship with one.

the way abuse among men is treated creates serial killers, murderers and it does create binge killers and it does cause suicide.
woman's shelters are also a tool for abusive woman to lie about death threats and harm while ultimately kidnapping any children involved and being completely sheltered from the person they are abusing. Then being helped with a free ride every step of the way while everyone buys into everything she says and demonizes the man getting abused. when a community comes together and hides children and protects abusers it creates intense resentment and rage towards a community and the people involved. especially when the person reaches out for help multiple times with strong evidence and has proven their credibility as a person deserving of honor dignity and respect. The abuse does not end with only the woman it continues on through the negligence, carelessness and ignorance of a community. Doctor Phil does not know what he is talking about.
