Banjo does plenty. He’s the one who jumps for the Flapflip, he’s the one who tip-toes for the narrow paths above deadly pits, and he’s the one Mumbo transforms. I don’t see Kazooie getting a transformation in this game.
For a long time now I've been looking for gameplay that's without death resets and this is the one to watch! I never liked watching banjo getting hurt so this is welcomed!! We watch this before bed because it's a comfort game to view. I hope we get a tooie at some point! Thank you again for taking the time to do this :)
First off let me start off by saying Congratulations. You are one of the few people I've seen on TH-cam do a 100% no death speed run at a speed that outpaces my own. I managed to do a no death run, but I could never manage a no damage run. My best time is 4:21:31, so needless to say you're quicker at this game than I am.
I played banjo kazooie when it first came out in 1998 i was 12 . I’m 35 now and banjo kazooie is still My fav game of all time ! BK has so Much character / charm / atmosphere and don’t even get me started on the sound track ! BK is a absolute masterpiece
I'm really impressed that you've 100% the game without hardly using glitches with the exception of getting two Mumbo Tokens in Mad Monster Mansion as you explained.
This is the greatest game ever made by man kind imo, the sound track, the characters, the ambiance...just a complete pack and BTW i still have the n64 console and the BK casette haha. Great gameplay man, just meticulous planning and execution, bravo.
Happy 25th Birthday to Banjo-Kazooie! 😁🥳🎂 The icing on the cake is that if you quit while you're ahead at any time, you get the cutscene when Grunty and Tootie get transformed.
I was obsessed with this game in my early teens and considered myself really good at it getting through it 100% with good efficiency. I dunno what made me think about this game recently, but looking it up after so many years and seeing this... this is a virtuoso performance, I am in awe lol. I'm legit excited to see you have a DK64 vid up too that I can watch later
oh my Flipping Daisies!!!!! ..to my Yami fans , thank you so much for this !!!! I'm watching this with my boys , clear , and loud , and your playing great man , thank you
I love how the characters' voices are sped-up while playing the whole game as fast as anyone can. And if you plan on doing the XBOX version of this and Banjo-Tooie, hopefully it'll be a few minutes less than the N64 versions to beat your best records.
Hey Nightshadow. Funny you mention this, I played through the xbox version last night. Should be up in a couple of weeks. I think it was around 3 hours. I do ranked speedruns of Banjo too under "The8bitbeast" but doing these longplays has been fun since Im watching all the cutscenes and not using any glitches
I think he is cheating cause a few times when he should've gotten hurt by enemies he didn't. Honestly I don't mind tho he's good at the game and it's nostalgic!
Loved the Video, I also would like to share one of my Personal thoughts in a part of the game where the hidden extra life is in Rusty Bucket Bay at 2:42:30, Banjo took out four of the Boom Boxes which earned him an Extra Life, my Personal thought is that he saved his life. If you think of it, he saved his life from the Boom Boxes that were about to blow up once they got in contact with him. What do you think of my personal thought on this?
Wait wait times our before I watch did you REALLY beat this whole game without taking any damage? That's actually amazing. Grunty beat me up so badly I was forced to 100% the games to get all the perks in the final battle
I typed into TH-cam "Banjo Kazooie Max% Speedrun" as I was hoping to find a speedrun where the person has to collect absolutely everything, including the basic stuff such as blue eggs, red feathers, gold feathers, extra lives, honeycomb pieces, etc. I didn't find such a speedrun, but I found this video instead. Might I say, this certainly looked like an intense challenge. Out of interest, once you collect the Stop N Swap items is it possible to reverse it? Is there some way of resetting it so that you no longer have the Stop N Swap items? I tried to accomplish this by erasing my game but it didn't solve the problem.
Currently Playing banjo kazooie and tooie on Xbox GamePass with my son, but it is a pain in the butt because it runs at 30fps which makes controlling banjo really difficult and imprecise, am always missing jumps and falling. If anyone knows how to play GamePass version at 60fps or 60fps on ps5 I would be grateful.
Yeah I can see the patterns of the last fight..... still easier sad than done. Excellent job not taking damage, but wouldn't you need to double both the feather types and eggs to make it 100%?
Good point. It's a bit uncertain whether that's considered a cheat or part of 100% so I just met in the middle and saw cheato to get the cheats, but didn't enter the cheats.
I love Rareware games so much. Back in the SNES and the N64 era, the company was experiencing its golden age. They made such awesome masterpieces.
When you start to think about it, Banjo is really just there along for the ride, Kazooie does all the hard work and moves 😂

@@JJ_R yup, Banjo does the work, die hard Banjo Kazooie fans know.

Wow, dude....
Wow, the real 4:3 N64 version, and it is not blurry like all of the others. Thumbs up just for that.

Thanks! This is my favorite game so I love speedrunning it, especially any%
@@retrolongplayer You demolished my time and didn't use the Furnace Fun skip? Well I'll be damned.

Agreed...this game should be studied by modern game developers.
I'm really impressed that you've 100% the game without hardly using glitches with the exception of getting two Mumbo Tokens in Mad Monster Mansion as you explained.
Never beat this game but it’s bringing back so many memories 😆

When I saw you collect the stop n swap eggs my third eye opened. I'm extremely impressed! Awesome video :)
The nostalgia is hitting really hard 😪

Ik hou van worstenbroodjes met kippenragout! En dit spel, herinnert mij er elke dag weer aan! 😄
Mumbo: wait Mumbo needs new boots!
Banjo: 🚶🏾♀️

Nice! I totally played that game! I really do enjoyed it!!!
How about "Tonic Trouble" for the N64?
SKIP TO 39:14 TO IGNORE THAT SUPER ANNOYING CHEATS INPUT
2:30:05 I actually thought you were gonna die there, that's neat that you can surface even while in the drowning animation.
That looks like if he cheated

Nostalgia I like this game 👍
How do I get my game to run at 60 fps?
A small bear and a large bird metamorphosis into huge spider.

Can I quickly admire just how broken this game is at places? The fact that you can nullify any fall damage by pounding the ground beforehand. (?
3:39:54 that last Jinjo has just finished me but who laughs last we shall soon see

Yeah the Grunty fight is really hard at first but gets easier once you know the patterns. Also if you run in circles the fireballs dont hit you

Nostalgic
Do those stop n swap codes work in the original N64? Or were they added later as part of the emulation enhancements?
They work on original n64
Where are the brentilda dialogues?
I have yet to see an emulator that does the puzzle transition right.
I love BK, but I live BT better. These games are a dear treasure to me.

friend how do you do to play it at 60 FPS?
Its a RAM hack. I dont remember the specifics but you can do it with a gameshark code
Is this run segmented or one continues playthrough?
Segmented
how i put the codes in the game?
You have to type them on the sandcastle floor by ground pounding. You also have to type cheat first
What are your settings at ?
Looks really smooth
1400x1050 captured from the emulator then it was upscaled x2 after that. I'm also using a RAM hack to make the game run at 60fps rather than 30 fps
Its sort of impossible to go threw the questionary without getting hit
Especially that the awnsers change every time you turn the game on
Like your walkthrough but wish the talking in scenes and when characters talk to each other was slower not so sped up.
20:02 WHUP!
This is what should be in the switch now instead of the input delay 10 fps one
60 fps?
Yeah, it's a RAM hack that puts the game at 60fps
@@retrolongplayer how?
Quiero descargarlo y jugarlo 🥺
Thats some godlike framerate
39:30
Homework
😊😊😊😊😊😊
whats the cheats you use i cant do them
I literally just bought an Xbox just to play this game lmao 🥲
