I know people always complained about the worlds connecting, etc., but I honestly loved how challenging it was and thought it’s what made the game great
The connected worlds are what made this game more challenging imo. The backtracking is so Rareware and there was little to no backtracking necessary in the first one
The connecting worlds blew my mind and made this game great. When I went back to play Banjo-Kazooie afterwards, it felt too simple by comparison. This game wouldn't be the same without them!
You are a MONSTER! Grunty would have been crying on the corner giving up from even saying the questions and you would be still yelling the answers in correct order. I was like "WTH, she didn't even say a letter" that was total annihilation

I also bought "Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts" on my Xbox 360. I'm not going to play that until I beat this game. I have just started it up on my ice blue N64 and playing it today (09/10/22). 👍Thank you for uploading this long play!
@@brendanreilly4675 many people cited the lack of self-contained levels as the reason Tooie is worse. You could go to any level in the first game and get 100% of the jiggies and notes without needing to explore deeper in the game, just further in the level. With that said, I still enjoy Tooie because I played it a lot more as a child.

idk man, i found tooie a lot more fun in overall gameplay. it felt so much more fun to control banjo and kazooie, i also found the writing better than kazooie.
I remember Banjo-Kazooie just rocking my world as a kid. The art design and music were atmospheric and phenomenal, but Banjo-Tooie didn't quite have the same oomph to me, even though it had great lighting for its time. Did "The Gatehouse" stage really have reflective floors on the N64, or is that a PC asset? If that was on the N64, that's impressive (and possibly very taxing to the system).
You can double jump as banjo by pressing A B A. If you jump right, then double jump back left with good timing, then the foot wont hit you like in this vid.
