- got bored sittin round the house so i decided id take a lil vid of my new truck
2001 ZR2 S10 4.3L vortec V6 auto single in dual out muffler flowmaster or cherry bomb not really sure sounds good for a v6 tho as you can tell it has factory 3" lift with the ZR2 package plus 3 more inches of lift has 33x12.50x15 hancook mud terrains on steel beadlock simulated wheels ... my stero system is a pioneer cd player pioneer 820watt amp and one 12" sony xplod sub the amp it bridged and turned all the way up cant tell from the vid but it hit really hard and clean it just dont pick up on my phone speaker anyways hope ya like it

I keep getting comment wanting to buy this truck I sold it a few months after this video the kid I sold it to traded it in on a new truck and about 4 months later it ended up at the local LKQ self serve junk yard

rocker85675 my dad had a 03 4x4, not a zr2 tho. But it lasted 278k miles all bone stock. 4.3 v6

Yeah I got a 2000 s10 with 350,000 mf miles on it. Only minor rust still going strong for the shit ton of miles

Only way to fix fuel gauge is to put in a new fuel pump its a GM thing mite as well w8 till pump goes out which it will along with the door pins. I do like my s10s im a mechanic so I have a shop I can fix the issues wen the arise

Love the truck but FYI, zr2 come with a 2 inch lift. It's a common mistake, I myself thought it was 3 inches but it turns out it's 2

2000 LS ZR2 Indigo Blue , Matching Tonneau Cover , Black Running Bars & Tinted Glass ., 89,000 MI. The frame is slightly bent so i will just have to keep it .Wish i could get that fixed ? I love my Z ! I do not drive much and also let it sit for 6 years & gave it serious attention . One year back & no problems ! Funny some people just hate my truck ? LOL ;)
es pk that's nothing, have a red 03 Sonoma with 37k original miles on it, came from new York so the frame was rusted but that was fixed easily
33s with just 3 in of lift? Did you have to do any cutting or trimming? do they run at all?
In Canada, I have never seen S10 ZR2 pick up trucks. Btw the pick up looks good!

Doug Johnson you mean on road right? Cause the “2” wheel drives are terrible off road I had one before the z I got now... the 2wd has no locker’ the z has a rear locker stock and 4x4 so how is the one wheel drive better off-road for anyone

Zr2 package comes stock with 31s it sits 2.5-3" higher than a regular 4x4 s10 plus the body lift and yes it does scub but only when a turn real hard one way and flex it but thats only because if the off set of the wheels there 10" wide if they was 8" they wouldnt scrubb at all... and the body lift is homemade steel blocks
ey anyone know how much a 4-6 inch lift would cost me i got 99 s10 the cab is a little more extended than yours, damn fine lookin truck u got there.
The coolest part was watching the sub id like to know what that exhaust system is for sure but why get a 3 inch body? you gained no clearance other then just being able to fit bigger tires. a quick search and i found many 2.5 inch suspension lifts that were cheaper then the body. Just my way of thinking because i dont like my frame being hung up. Sounds better then sex tho bro.

I'm about to get a zr2 with 150k miles 1999 for 900$ it needs a little rust work near the bottom of the doors but that's all.
Those muflers are definatly NOT flowmasters. I had a 00 zr2 and I had a single in dual out flowmaster and it did not sound like that. Definatly a cherry bomb something or another!!!!
I have a 98 blaZeR2 with 85k original miles that I can't wait to put some money into. The previous owner did some nice work to it but it needs more :) I like your set up.
Do these trucks do well with high miles there's one buy me it looks good and I can probably get it for 500$ but it's got 195,000 miles on it and how are the engine and transmission as well on these trucks are they anygood
JohnTaylor Pelletier this truck looked good that was about it this was right after i got it soon after it went to shit it only ran right when it wanted to found out it had been wreaked frame was bent all kinda problems i sold it soon after 3months later it ended up in a junk yard i personally have never had any good luck with chevys period

I did see ZR2's have a 3" factory lift. I also saw there's a 6" lift kit out there that's around $1300. Damn, with 6" installed the truck would become 9" high! I wanna get a ZR2 now.

It was a single chamber cherry bomb muffler single inlet and dual outlet 2 1/2" pipe out the back

not a check engine light. That is a service light.

@@boudrauxmnxsty6871 Funny...I have a shop that specializes in 2nd gen S10's and I have 3x personal S10's two of them being ZR2's. From 1998-2004 or 1998-2005 in blazers the "Service Engine Soon" light is definitely the CEL...lol
i cant decide to get a s10 zr2 or a blazer zr2 and add 6 inch lift
buy a jeep cherokee xj or a comanchee trust me you'll be much happier

+tecboy209 I'm on my 11th jeep cherokee xj I've built them get bored and sell the build another they are very reliable transportation long as you take care of them they will run forever mine now has 277k miles on it runs like new and sees revlimiter daily
offroadinrebel1985 Do not try and get these people to buy that disgusting shit just because you had a rare bad experience with an s10. Go with a regular rear wheel s10 and it will last forever. I still take like wheeling all the time
that kid was stupid to do that, i would have kept that beauty for life. although i would go with 31s instead of 33s. Way clean and for a 95 with 192k on is hits the nail pretty good. perfect lift on it. exhaust seems a bit loud for my taste but it sounds really good/ man sucks its gone i would have snatched that from you after a good test drive haha

You can run 35s with just upgraded from keys and 3" shackles and 2" body.... There's a black zr2 video of one on TH-cam on 35s

Does the Truck have a dedicated site to get aftermarket parts like headlights or even performance parts? I was wanting to get a Mustang and it has a site dedicated for it but I also heard you can fix up an S10 to be pretty quick and I also heard they are really reliable. Thanks for the response!

This truck looked good and that was bout it i took this video like 4 days after i got it and had nothing but problems outa it i sold it soon as i could... and as for walmart system i paid 10 bucks for the cd player 20 for amp and 15 for the sub and hit harder than most people can say what they want bout sony xplod but ive had the best luck outa it over the years and have put sum high dollar name brand shit to shame and of corse it sounds like shit in the video camera cant pick up the bass
