They Updated the game with the reworked version of this patch about 5 minutes after this video dropped. So a lot of what was said here will be outdated. Notably the XP nerf has been reverted.

During the unpatched patch I couldn’t kill fast enough to progress but never died. Today I played one game for 90 mins before quitting. The old game I just stacked a debuff and damage type every game. New patch is encouraging building synergies and that’s encouraging me to use different skills so I am enjoying it.
Yeah I'm playing the new ypdate now, while watching you, and I agree with pretty much everything you've said.

@@gamingwithjeff A bit yeah, but I kept playing. It was a better experience when I disabled the curse that puts those dang enemy-damage-reduction-totems in the game. Otherwise it’s a better experience but still has plenty of work that needs doing. I am worried that the gameplay will remain 1 dimensional
Also Jeff, Vampire Hunters gets a new map and update on the 15th!
I saw, and it looks like a lot of new stuff! Then new DmD patch on the 20th, and Nordic 1.0 on the 26th 🤯

I used to play this game quite a bit. About 40 hours of gameplay. After playing 1 match, I didn't notice anything too differernt. I saw some different structures that I couldn't do damage to for some reason. They had purple hearts on them. The main reason I stopped playing this game is because the game gets too repetitive. Run around the map in a circle, dodge attacks and try to pick up some resources, pair skills that match with each other, aquire movespeed. Filling out a skill tree and getting unlocking higher curse levels just doesn't keep me entertained.

I think it was reducing the rate of xp gain that did it. Leveling up is the best part of the game lol
This game feels so "fleety" and unsatisfying. I really don't know why specifically but it just sucks
I think its because the core gameplay loop is not good. While everything surrounding it is fairly interesting. Skill tree and all the abilities and whatnot.
