NO Tranfer case issues with the front wheel drive..BUT IF you change transfer fluid every 50000 miles it should be great in a AWD.Great pick uo on the better fuel economy of the FWD..Well researched
Mazda do not change the key fob. If the battery in the key fob dies with a push button start what are your options? With the Mazda turn key , you just pop it out and use an actual key that is part of the keyless system.
You can go wrong. Even with the 2WD you won't see 20MPG. Probably 16-18MPG Combined. Exterior styling is dated. Dinky NAV screen. Probably drives and handles the best. Bulbus center console. Loose the gear shifter or put it on the dash. Yes that key thing is stupid. Good power. Needs cylinder deactivation. Needs a reboot.
bought it last year. top trim model with $2500 off from Mazda. was waiting for the new refresh Pathfinder but it is much more expensive compare to the same trim level of my Mazda. about $7000 more. with leather and all the stuff. I also like the Lane Change Warning. I like the CVT on the new Pathfinder and high MPG, but it doesn't worth $7000 more. $7000 is a lot of gas.

don't buy a cx9 my 2011 has been in shop for over 2 weeks for power steering pump problems and still no sign of a repair (REALY MAZDA ) local dealer in Sault Ontario Canada isn't the what I would call helpful, and if you are wondering they all have same pumps from 2007-2014 and from the forums I'm not the first with this defect, maybe a letter to NHTSA would expedite matters. The cx9 does drive nice but there warranty if needed is sketchy.

Unfortunately unless you buy a Tesla... you are at the mercy of your local dealer network. That is a dealer issue- not really a manufacturer issue. Though that doesn't make it any less frustrating.
I love this guy as a reviewer. Great job every time

Mazda needs to redesign the cx9 and fully implement kodo on this!

Where's the reset button? Is it one of those that requires a paperclip to depress?

Whats up with that poor small overlap crash test? The cabin collapsed.

I'd get the ford explorer sport
uses an older, non-skyactiv engine for now
Ultimate fuel guzzler. Looks nice though:p
It’s true, sincerely a 2008 owner.

This looks like a dolphin. UGLY. Nissan Pathfinder is much better.
Dolphins are beautiful.
Pathfinder transmissions are junk!
