I dont get why reviewers always complain about a hard dash. The only time I touch the dash of my car is when Iam cleaning it. Hard or soft who cares . No one drives with their hand on the dash. I'm more concerned about reflection and glare. Good review the car does the talking.
Yes I realize that a lot of cars offered in the US are built overseas. However, what I was saying is that the majority of the cars that people actually buy here are built in the NAFTA zone. Only 2 of the 30 best selling vehicles last month came from overseas. This goes towards my point that most Americans don't have to pay tariff premiums that are common in countries where the majority of vehicles sold were imported, and that's one of the reasons our vehicle prices are relatively cheap.
i use to think that too. But what i have learned is that soft touch material don't scratch so easily and are less prone to cranking as the car gets old if you keep it that long.
There are many reasons why our vehicle prices are relatively cheap, and you're right that the value of our currency is one of them. Like I said though, our government's low taxes on vehicles and the fact that most vehicles bought in the US don't have import tariffs on them are also reasons. Many developed countries import far more cars with tariffs on them than we do, and their governments place more taxes on them, so on average they pay a lot more for cars.
Hello. Thank you for the video. I see that you have your navigator set up. I have the same Mazda with a head unit just like yours. Please advise where and how to set up the navigator on this machine. Thanks in advance!
I said "the majority of cars sold in the US built in the US OR in the North American free trade zone". The North American free trade zone includes Mexico and Canada. Also, almost all of the best selling Japanese and Korean brand cars are built in the US or Canada. In fact if you look at the top 10 best selling vehicles in the US for 2012 (4 American brands, 6 Japanese), 5 are built in the US, 2 in the US/Canada, and 2 in the US/Mexico.
It looks good but it is basically the same thing as the 09 model with the same engine, gas mileage etc. its really just a refresh on a suv that needs a redo
well understand that just because one best selling car mean there whole line up is made in the same place. Mazda all there cars are made in japan but there is new of them making the mazda2 and 3 in mexico next year. Just an example.
Здравствуйте. Спасибо за видео. Я вижу что у вас настроен навигатор. У меня такая же мазда с штатной магнитолой точно как ваша. Посоветуйте пожалуйста где и как настроить навигатор на этой машине. Заранее спасибо!
well will have to agree to disagree.I always though the cars are cheaper hear because out money was worth more. But i never looked into doing the exchange rate. Also almost 900 dollar for destination fee could be a lot for some people.
the highland rear seat are horrible and the 2nd row bench seat has a middle seat so small you can fit it in the middle console i would but that. And the cx9 are really reliable.not that they highlander isnt
A lot of cars are pretty cheap in the US. We have very little tax on cars. Also, the majority of cars sold in the US are either built in the US or in the North American free trade zone, so we don't have import costs.
Why do most vehicle videos show the tail pipes while the driver revs the engine to high rpms? What point is being made? I sure wouldn't learn much about a car or SUV by mashing the accelerator while the vehicle is standing still. Kind of stupid.
I love how it says in which gear you are with the auto, it isn't very useful, but it's nice knowing in what gear you're on.
Bad Drivers of the DC Area my thoughts too.Looking to get one myself

it comes in different colors like sand and black and that really makes the cabin feel soft and comfortable.

it would be nice if all test drives were at least this long, unlike some of the short ones from 2012 that I wished were this long.
Good engine sound with no too much road noise.
Engine sounds fantastic
Yeah man that thing has a stance like no other + these guys are great.
if you actually sit in one your opinion will change drastically it softer than it look and the eat is really comfortable.

We have one of this but ours is 2014 Mazda CX-9 grand touring and it have DVD player
I'm torn between the highlander and this. Wish I will make up my mind by next week!
Wow! I haven't usually given Mazda much consideration, but this really has made me take notice. I just wish their interiors weren't a sea of black.
Bob Keilitz : most German cars interiors are a sea of black as well...
My daughter 2012 CX9 is cream beige interior. Very cheerful.
I love mine
The best kind of review ever.
