- In today’s vlog we start our adventure in Laos with an off-beat tuktuk tour in the capital city of Vientiane. Let's find out if Laos is worth exploring and will it be the next big thing in Southeast Asia in 2024.
The Laos Tuktuk tour is super fun and takes us to some unique points in the city, starting from the banks of the Mekong River bordering Thailand.
After tasting some delicious Lao coffee, we head over to a local market where we check out common ingredients of Laos cuisine. We also make a quick stop at a small silversmith shop where we learn more about giving back to the local communities. Our next stop is at the Laos Textile Museum where we got to learn about the making of beautiful Laos silk dresses as well explore the ancient traditional Lao house on the property. We then head to a local restaurant for lunch where we try some delicious Laos food such as Nam Khao and Papaya salad.
We also stopped by at the COPE Visitor Center, where we were shocked to learn about the tragedies in the country’s history. Finally we took part in a fun activity where we attempted to make a temple offering. We also took our offering to a Buddhist temple in Vientiane (Wat Si Muang) where we offered them to the monks.
Throughout the day we got to experience the real Vientiane in the eyes of a local and now have a better understanding of Laos history, people, culture and traditions.

I love your videos, you understand the people, how they live, down to earth couple. Enjoy 😊😊😊
Thank you so much for the support.☺️ Glad that you are liking them.🤗
Most underrated country in southeast Asians. I love the low key vide, authenticity cultural, nice, and honest people. My understanding most of the northeast of Thailand used to be Laos until France colonized and pulled out. As far as I can tell, most of the people in north east part of the Thailand region are the same as Laos far as the language, culture, and foods.
We couldn't agree more. Laos is amazing 🤩 We loved the kind hearted people and overall amazing atmosphere of the country. We look forward to going back very soon 💖
We really enjoyed meeting the locals of Laos and learning about their way of life. We loved the different dishes and beverages you sampled and the food markets are incredible with such a variety. Thank you for sharing your fascinating day in Laos - loved the tuk tuk - and I would say it's definitely worth visiting this area.
Laos is an amazing country. We loved getting to explore deeper. 🌟 thank you for watching ❤️
Laos looks amazing!
Thanks for this amazing and insightful video. Wherever you are, the presence of rice in so many different forms in the region tells you that lives and food cultures are so closely linked. The migration of the young people to the big cities for a better life is a recurring feature of modernity in the region. Older and traditional handicrafts need new avenues of support and marketing. Your history lessons are really very good. The side details on the Vietnam conflict are so humbling.
I agree with the history lesson - indeed, very humbling.
Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it ☺️☺️

Hello 👋 💕
Can someone recommend a district or streets with lots of budget hotels in Vientiane.
Don't say, Airbnb Agoda bookings etc, not interested in that SIMP inflated zero value prices
