@@electric7487 Yeah, but my point is that a 4stroke engine is more efficient and powerful than a 2stroke. I know that there are many massive 2storke Diesel engines like the one Deitrot Diesel makes, but they lack power for their size and aren't efficient at all.
@@electric7487 I guess a petrol 4-stroke(24volts per cylinder), electric valves, with spark plug and direct fuel injector connected to the egnitor, with twin supercharger and quad twin scroll turbo will be the best to make it the fastest and most powerful engine for a vehicle in the world. The gear could be also ECU controlled when and how much to kick in, soo you wouldn't need a whole separate electric driven supercharger that wheighs more
This WR24 engine would be if good use in military tanks - like the M1A3 Abrams or an eventual next-gen Leopard. Otherwise, maybe in shipping - although here I would prefer gas turbine engines.
If this existed, It would be used in large trucks, however theres a problem, it would probably create torsional vibrations because that crank is very long

Reliability is ruined more by cheap radiators, cheap pipes and lines, cheap and poorly designed gaskets and using cheap materials and poor design over all. A w24 can be just as reliable as any inline 6. It just needs a lot more maintenance lol. And I mean a lot. 24 damn spark plugs and fuel injectors. Just thinking about it makes me broke.
This is a V engine. Not a W engine A W engine would have three banks of cylinders. Cylinder offset does not make it a W engine either. Any V engine will have cylinder offset

This engine is AN ABSOLUTE MONSTER!
Useful for natural gas fueled power generation as a more efficient alternative to small gas turbines (with more mass but better compression).
Or as a 4-stroke diesel engine for powering 120 RPM propulsion motors for large container ships.

Id have concerns with removing heat from the 3 inner turbos with the oil basin so close /.

its a concept, also consumption is not dependant on engine but many other factors such as gearing

No man, this would be reliable because it's big means less wear and tear and has more cylinders which makes it smoother than a v12
