I can’t believe you got him on and explain his side. I think this is going to be a big win for josh and Sarah. This was a great podcast and was in the edge of my seat waiting for the question to come up and he did a great job of explaining his side.
Josh was awesome sometimes you just have to talk them through. We never plan a podcast so a lot of the back and forth makes it a smoother discussion not spotlighting him on something specific
I saw this was 4hrs and was thought “no chance I’ll listen to this whole thing…” turns out I listened to every word over the course of 3days driving to and from work and loved it. Good job boys. Ohio hunter here. Was happy to hear Josh talk about his time here. Seems like a Class act
One of the reasons I keep watching Bowmar Bowhunting is just how real Josh is as a content creator. Too often, content creators put up some sort of persona and they quickly become very stale. Seeing this guy do what he does, how real he is, the work and effort not just in hunting but in life. Real people who are so passionate about doing what they love is hard to find anymore, especially with hunting.
Absolutely loved this podcast. Josh was super cool and relatable the whole way through. It was good to hear a clear explanation and not skirting around anything
Josh is 💯 correct about hunting the "brown it's down" areas. The good bucks are there and know how to avoid most hunters. One of your best podcasts to date IMO! I think people don't know how to take him bc of his enthusiasm and positivity. I have never met him but I like him.
Never quite understood why Bowmars have so many haters. Was happy to see Josh jump on here after the somewhat random conversation around accusations pointed at Bowmars that was discussed in a previous podcast you had with Brandon. Josh is a class act for coming on following that to clear things up.
Lol I think that podcast with Brandon drew him out but so glad it did. Quick lesson that sometimes you need to hear it first hand before judging someone
Wow I’ve seen a fair amount of his stuff but haven’t really been a big follower but after seeing this I’m gonna tune in more he is a self made man and a honest dude who puts in the work on every level!
This pod made me grow a ton of respect for Josh he genuinely seems like a great human being. And just how he shared crucial information he seems to live life to the fullest and that itsnin gods hands . He lives life balls out hes not worried about loosing bucks to giving info out. He leaves it in gods hands weathere he says it or not. Didnt care for him before but now I feel like I have a ton of respect for this man.
Thanks Luke, we are obviously transparent, and we went into this pretty skeptical about who Josh is. That said we left knowing he is super passionate and a great guy. Looking forward to watching his content in a new light 😂
Have met him and his wife, took way more time to just talk hunting and get excited about a shared passion than any other "famous" personality I have ever met. Never thought bad about them and figured most are just jealous and pass judgement because its easy to do. Like their products, fitness and archery, and look forward to this new broadhead!
I not going to lie I wasn’t a big bowmar fan but this podcast made me have way more respect for this guy. He’s honestly one of the best hunting guys in the industry. No sponsors no nothing wow lots of gained respect.
Almost 4 hours - Wow. I was impressed with Josh He sounded like a great guy and a super hardcore hunter. I will for sure check out those broadheads when they come out. This might be your best show.
Great podcast. I didn't have a good view of Josh before I watched this podcast. Thank you for having him on and hearing his side of things. Seems like a stand up guy. Good lesson here for everyone. Never judge anyone before you hear the whole story. Keep up the good work guys.
Did a way better job helping explain his side and himself in general. My first time watching Bomar, I didn't know what to think about him, but you can clearly see he genuinely enjoys sharing his experience with everyone.
We had see some others and knew something was up. Transparently, we went it not knowing what we would think. But we are really happy to have talked to Josh, and think he’s a great guy
We were man, transparently we shoot rage Trypan…lots of improvements to be made but work for what we are looking for. His has a chance to be way better
Excellent as per usual, first time I’ve ever heard of the cell cam releasing a frequency that deer can detect theory . Right off the bat I’m going to say if you hang a camera 7 foot off the ground and put it on a tree bigger than the camera you’ll almost never have deer look at it, so I’m not sold yet that it is a cell cam frequency thing spooking them but I’m not saying it couldn’t be proven to be true some day I just don’t know yet. Awesome pod and nothings better then after a workout getting on TH-cam at 6PM ever Tuesday to see the new guest/topics!
So passionate not even laws and regulations will get in the way of his hustle. Probably could of used a bit more knowledge of how not to poach…. However I may be wrong. This was just the time he caught. I’m sure it took a lot of knowledge to get by this far. Without getting caught. save it with “ ohh he paid his debts to society and took responsibility” …. remember nobodddddy is gonna do for you in the same situation that podcast like these are doing for him. You don’t get to have a positive light shed on you, and for you, when you break the law. Don’t be naive. I apologize if you take personal offense to what I said. Not my intention. Double standards for ppel on camera..
This was by far the best podcast on the channel. Josh is very intelligent in every aspect of whitetail hunting and has opened my eyes to a lot after seeing this.
Fantastic podcast guys probably one of the best yet. I also was on the fence about how I felt about Josh with the info I previously had about him. After watching this there's no doubt in my mind Josh is a good dude and an extremely smart guy. Without doubt he is definitely a legit badass hunter who takes bowhunting as serious as anyone out there. His passion for bowhunting is undoubtedly. Kudos to you on your success Josh you earned it and you surely earned my respect well done buddy. Another great podcast keep up the good work fellas 👍
Very good podcast. Not sure the Bowmars are my thing, still the Kardashians of hunting where the purpose is brand before anything else, but I was surprised on how knowledgeable he was on many topics and it seems like he shoots big bucks because he works hard. I can respect that.
Hands down one of my favorite podcast, you guys keep it real and to the point. Bringing him on was a great job, you guys just opened alot of people’s eyes and helped change a lot of perspectives towards him and really brought light on how good of a guy he is and how passionate he is. Keep up the good work fellas!
Everything Josh said is facts about size of body and bone structure .....it's the class of doe that creates giants bucks ....the best quality of does the better . I met Josh and Sarah years ago at Ohio Deer expo. We stood there and talked for an hour then worked out the next day. They were awesome and genuine IMO.
@BowmarBowhuntig love this episode josh you would be the best guy to just hang with. You probably have so many more stories to tell. Your an icon brother.
Got to meet josh at the deer and Turkey expo a few years back, I can confirm he is 100% a great guy and was just as hyped telling me deer stories and showing me pics then as he is now.
I knew of the Bowmars, but wasn't a fan. I wasn't a hater either, though. This was a great interview! Gave the man a chance to tell his own story. Now that he did, it would be cool to see him on again. But this time diving deeper into hunting strategies, food plots, and more. Love this long format!
I used to watch Bowmar but driffted away from it. This brought me back into it. Knowing someones past and understanding that they earned where they are and learning their mind selt can elreally change your perspective on an individual.
What an awesome dude! It takes a lot of guts to come out and tell us about what really happened. I am glad I am the kind of guys that never passes judgment on people without knowing the entire story. I have become an even bigger fan after seeing him on the last few podcasts. I am looking forward to trying out the new heads this fall!!
Insta360 x3 boys!!!! Its a bow hunters best friend when it comes to self filming hunts! You know your getting the shot with being able to reframe 360 degrees in post! Its a must for self filming hunts
Have a natural aversion to sales guys, instantly get the willy's when you hear one speak. But nice to hear another side of the story. Can't deny the guy's deep interest. Fun to listen to the logic of why he does what he does. Clearly puts a lot of thought into the craft. Fun conversation.
What did you guys think about the Bowmar broadheads? I'm watching their website looking for it to be released. I shoot fixed blade but I'm curious to take a look and give them a try.
Not sure I agree that faster is better, carrying more kinetic energy to the target especially with wide cutting broad heads like a rage is the key in what iv seen. It’s about finding the balance I shoot 600g with 80lbs haven’t lost an animal yet. All and all a good podcast and entertaining to listen to.
As messed up as our state is, NY did pretty good with the crossbow season, we get Oct 1st until November 1st then you can hunt with crossbow during archery for two weeks before gun opens.
I hear allot of negative stuff about bowmar. But i have to say, i like the guy. Seems like a good fellow. I'm even going to buy some of his broadheads. They look to be a very tough lethal head. I take my broadheads very serious. And have tried allot of them. I have got very frustrated with my current heads and started watching broadhead videos. I came across lusk archery doing a test on bowmar broadheads. I'm going to say this. I've seen him test them all. And they're are only 2 heads that impressed me out of all of them. And one is bowmars. Don't understand why everybody knocks this fella.
I've shot sevr since 2019 and with 30+ whitetail kills I've never had an animal go over 70 yards but I have had cpl not pass thru so I bought dozen the new 1.75 to try an help with that I also shoot the Levi 4mm broadhead kit on my other bow and excited to try em out since there solid glue in without dealing with an insert so might be switching over to them depending on how they do but really don't like the $90 3pk price and $30 for field points so gonna test both these two this season and go from there
Very impressed with Josh coming on a platform to talk about everything. I was turned off from "what I heard" about him. After this, I have much respect for him. Thanks @BowmarBowhunting for doing this. You guys should dive into Spook Span drama in the future.
I'm 100% in the speed bow camp too. Have done the research as well and have spent lots of hours with the bow. It's devastating on whitetails. I shoot vortex mechanicals and take them out of the package and put the work in to get them razor sharp. I get 320 fps average on the crono.
100% in Wv 1 hour away in the southern bow only counties, where I live the deer body size in Raleigh County/ summers the body size is 100lb/150 dressed or less. But good God in Wyoming county/Logan the body mass is massive 200lb plus dressed. But one super weird thing in the bow only counties (zero gun hunting) there are very few does way more bucks than does. And everyone kills bucks they don't shoot does, but in Raleigh/summers there is 6 does to 1 buck.
Had to double check…didn’t line up with title. Either way…very interesting guest. I thought you guys weren’t exactly fans of his…I’m curious to see how this goes. Almost 5 hours? Gonna take us a week to listen.
@@SimanBrothersOutdoors00% had our doubts prior to this pod…BUT that’s why we love doing this. Got to know Josh and completely changed our minds. That said listen and make your own conclusion
I'm don't hate nor love well known people because at 69 years old I know you can't really know someone until you spend a lot of one-on-one time with them in a lot of different situations. I do like the way your guest readily talks about his mistakes and screw ups admitting he's human. We all make mistakes and screw ups. As far as long-range shooting folks have a tendency to try and shove their limitations down others' throats. Some folks can throw and hit a 90 mile per hour fastball and most folks can't. If you can't, don't claim no one else can or should. Folks have a mental limitation because they freak out thinking oh my gosh it's a 60-yard shot. It's not it's a shot at your 5th pin. There are folks that practice and practice at 100 yards and more and build their own arrows and weigh them all and tweak them to the nth degree and tweak their bow to an almost insane preciseness that they can make repeated 100-yard shots into a tea sized saucer. I've watched shooters make those shots. Seeing those shots in 2010 convinced me to hang up my 49-inch length finger bow and start shooting a release bow with a release. People get too hung up on FOC, KE, and fixed versus mechanical broadheads and should spend their time finding the right combination of arrow and broadhead that is most accurate at their maximum distance. Unfortunately, most folks will not spend the time and money to practice with as many arrows and broadhead combinations to find the most accurate set up at their maximum distance but if they don't, they shouldn't rag on folks who do and therefor can kill animals at a lot longer distances.
Finally finished the entire podcasts. Took a few days. I dont think he comes across as a d bag at all. Seems like a great dude tbh. Im new to the huntr podcast. I'm enjoying the new content good job boys.
Thanks for having me on the show guys!

So how far away do you have to be from a feeder when hunting in Iowa
Josh totally changed my opinion of him. I enjoyed this podcast and think he is a pretty good fella after all.
Yessss, changed our opinions too. Came into skeptics and left with a friend
Great show boys can’t wait till part 2

When are his broadheads going to drop?? Did you guys get them? Are they as badass as Josh said they are? I want them now lol
Cell cameras to deer is like live scope for bass. After awhile they rely it to danger
Dammit episode 133…😂 I knew we’d mess up somewhere
