- Hey howdy hey how is everybody doing and welcome back to Disney Daily!
The 1955 classic lady and the tramp has always been one of my favorite Disney movies. Mostly because I am a huge animal lover and this whole movie centered around the lives of 2 very different dogs.
Lady, a sophisticated and loyal purebred cocker spaniel from an upper middle class neighbourhood
And Tramp, a rebellious and clever mutt who roams the streets alone.
After Tramp's initial encounter with Lady he is smitten and the two embark on an adventure together throughout their little midwestern town and eventually fall in love.
Now while Lady’s background is made very clear in the movie. Tramp's is not.
You see from the beginning of the film we see Lady’s life from puppyhood to full grown dog. She has only ever known the life of a pet and nothing more.
But I always wondered what about Tramp? Did he ever have a home? A family? Or was he always a street dog?
Well I explore all those questions throughly in today’s video.

I love Jock in Lady and the Tramp, I wish there was a ride at Disneyland that includes the movies like Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmations mixed together
I agree I believe he (Tramp whic is not his given name) was replaced by a baby and the father of the household dropped him off in a street corner after disrupting the baby multiple times
I've always thought tramp had been a pet too! He looks to me like a standard schnauzer, so much so! And a purebred would likely start of in a home. Tramps always been my favourite and is part of the reason I own schnauzers today
That's because he is one and a standard schnauzer is my favorite type of 🐕, I wouldn't want to spoil the live action remake if you haven't seen it
It’s sad to think that Tramp lived with a family and was kicked out. He did well for himself as a street dog though. There are so many great characters but my favorite is Tramp.

I like that we get more of Tramp's past in the Remake version.

The live action remake was way better than the original, I liked how they made the scene where he tells Lady that he once had owners until they abandoned him when they had a baby and left him out of the streets. That scene makes more sense because as a kid myself I've always wondered if he had a home once or was always a street dog and it's my favorite part next to where Tramp went to apologize to Lady and she forgave him. Everything in the live action makes perfect sense and my other favorite part is where Jim Dear and Darling kicked Aunt Sarah and her cats out. Even though I like the remake better than the original, I didn't like when they changed Jock from a male dog to a female dog. They could've picked Billy Connolly since he's Scottish and I've never liked Lady and the Tramp 2 Scamp's Adventure I only watched the scenes that I liked and also because they have my favorite types of dogs, the standard schnauzers, the old english sheepdog and the bloodhound

Good backstory video I've always loved both Tramp and Lady of course Jock is also a favorite. Love the movie had the sequel on VHS long time ago as well.

The remake made more sense because Tramp revealed to Lady that he had owners who abandoned him after they had a baby, I wish the original had that

And Tramp almost dying in the wagon crash is just as sad as Trusty's.
@@katelynthewhitewerewolf6376 Well, in my opinion, it was better than Trusty's almost-death scene. Why? Because after he survived, we get to see how Tramp became part of Lady's family in the first place, unlike the original, it was never explainable

Yeah and Tramp's Disney Death is sadder since Lady mourned him thinking he died from impact.

I wanna know about those boy cocker spaniel puppies are they lady's brother and what did happen do Lady's parents her dog parents but my favorite line of tramp is "stop that wrecking you wake the baby" 😂 funny tramp says the funny things with that 1 voice his original voice actor does 😂

I’m not sure! There’s a lot tho 😂 a lot of them went straight to VHS
I hated 'Lady and the Tramp 2' for so long....

It would also make sense as to why he wasn’t neutered. Which I know some people don’t do or whatever. But generally you neuter them when they’re younger but he was tossed out as a puppy. So they never got the chance to neuter him
Lady wasn't fixed and she was a pet all her life

It’s a good idea to spay or neuter your dogs up to two years so that way they can grow properly.
what about the live action? sure I've only watched it once and I don't consider live action movies canon at all,but if I remember right,I think we learn he was abandoned....? which is probably the only thing I considered canon in the remake cause it's the only thing that makes sense to me that could tie into the original
I don’t consider it canon at all. So that’s why I didn’t include it
@@DisneyDailyYT yeah,I undeerstand that,I never liked live action movies so I never consider them canon,unless it makes sense to me,which most of the time it never does with live action,but if it makes sense to me,then I would ethier consider it semi canon or at least an alternate universe type thing,I don't know XD
I don't want to offend any of you but I love better the remake compared to the original because:
1 - Lady's collar in the remake is more beautiful and feminine than hers in the original
2 - In the remake, Darling and Jim Dear weren't harsh much to Lady during the baby shower
3 - The remake version of the spaghetti scene was just as beautiful as the original
4 - In the remake, Tramp told Lady his sad story of how he was abandoned by his former family and ended up on the streets
5 - Tramp failing at his best to save Lady from the dogcatcher in the remake,
6 - No mournful pound dog howling song in the remake dog pound scene because that song made me cry
7 - 'He's a Tramp' Peg sings in the remake explains more of the Tramp being a commoner than a womanizer, why? You'll see in a moment
8 - Aunt Sarah and her cats finally getting their defeat in the remake after Darling and Jim Dear found out what REALLY happened to Lady
9 - Lady bonding with Baby Lulu after she came back from pound in the remake
10 - Bull and Peg having owners and collars, especially because they got more roles in the remake
11 - And here's my reason from 7th one: In the remake, after seeing Tramp again, Lady this time forgave him after her experience in the pound but still told him that she was staying with her family instead of running away with him
12 - Lady being the hero to stop the dogcatcher's wagon in the remake
13 - Tramp almost dying in the remake, why? Because I cried too much during Trusty's almost death scene in the original, and the remake extended that scene more to show how Tramp became part of Lady's family since the original didn't show that and made no sense.

It’s so sad that people do that. When you get a dog or any animal it’s a living thing and there are a part of your family.
I never considered the sequel as canon. It wasn't made with the same idea/formula in mind. If anything, its nothing more than a fanwork. It was rather dissapointing.

Some people do consider it canon but I see what your saying. I actually really enjoyed the second 😂 unpopular opinion. Lol
