  • Making an awesome old school vintage looking 3D sign of my logo using copper and old weathered barnwood. I used some simple tools and a bandsaw to build this really unique sign that will hang in my shop.

@@ThirdCoastCraftsman An old Army co-worker is from your area, Pete DeLoach. I made a trip back to Romulus, my old home after returning to the USA from my tour in Germany in 1986 and swung over to visit him on my way back to Ft. Sill, OK. Sorry for the ramblings of an old soldier and Michigander.

Great to see a bit of old school hand made technic, pc’s and CNC machines have speeded things up but taken all the skill and fun out of the job.

Hand Crafted the old school way, thats what I'm talking about. It dont take much skill to push a button and let a computer do it all. I love old style signage. Great Job Buddy, I think I will try one for myself. Thanks for the video.

Logo is great, I like it. Maybe a sheet of aluminum on the blade of the drawknife with "hand made" written in black could add a classy detail. I would make a test with a tin foil to see the effect, because adding a third color to the logo could end in a design too colored for the eyes, but it also could add emphasys and importance to the writing "hand made" and recall the steel of the tools, focusing a potential customer on that detail (hand made).

I’ve seen Jimmy Diresta do this 50 times, unoriginal, UNSUBSCRIBE!
Kidding of course, came out great! Love the copper and barn wood combo. I’m actually wearing your shirt as I write this. Great tip on the coping saw blade orientation, and that parallax slider shot of you filing was awesome.

Just came across your channel a week ago your projects are great. I am a furniture maker and also do Tshirt printing/mugs/signs and print on wood, I regularly use my vinyl cutter to make stencils, inexpensive and it saves you a hell of a lot of work, I even make wooden signs using vinyl for the lettering and spray them with lacquer and they really look great :)
