- The McLaren Artura is a plug-in hybrid from this iconic sports car maker, and it actually can run in fulp EV mode, very good for getting in and out of your neighbourhood; the electric power is cleverly used to fill in the gaps in the lower rpms, when the turbobis spooling up, so it smoothens the torque curve.
Anybody can drive it because it is so flexible in its power curve, but if you want to really unleash all the power, you should be a good driver.
I for one could not use all of the power all of the time, the first reason being there were cars in almost every corner, and where there were none, I had to be very careful how hard I put my foot down.
Whatever, I enjoyed the car thoroughly, so please enjoy the video, and let us have your comments.

The car is so powerful on climbing the hill that it seems like u drive on flat track. And the sound from the engine and exhaust is so nice to listen.

From the viewer's perspective it would have been more enjoyable if we could see the full view of the road ahead. The rearview mirror was blocking us for a clearer front view.

Cause previously I driven the CLA45 AMG facelift 2017 model from Genting to Sepang, I had back ache... Whereas I driven the 2018 Nissan GTR from KL to Ipoh it was so comfortable...
Hahaha, the McLaren is built way better. Hard or soft is relative to the performance and the way the suspension is set up.

Mclaren has one of the flattest body roll on this route.. I am impressed to see the DNA is not lost in the Artura too.. Uncle YS.. I saw your videos on the 987.2 and 981 GT4 going up this route and pretty sure soon the 718 GT4 and RS too.. any chance you will like to sample an older 987.2 Cayman R?

I don’t know if it is jus time, the uphill tight corner was not easy, Uncle use 2nd gear and I felt momentarily loose boost at the exit. But if use 1st gear would be too drag and choppy. Anyway not many car out there have the spot on gear ratio for those corner, that’s why uncle YK Khong is the expert.
You are right about not all gear ratios being spot in. This one was quite good. Any momentary hesitation may have been a steering correction moment. If you see a bit of movement on the steering, that would indicate I was correcting a slide, albeit a very minor one.
Genting road condition now look like Pain Borneo in the past, OMG.

Around RM2+ million depending on what options you choose. Base car is around RM1.3 million before duties.
