I just wanted to talk about this, since it's a genuine concern I have with Sonic 3 and what people are wanting from it. Please, if you're going to see the movie in December, expect disappointment and you won't be disappointed!

Whether for a film, a series or a game, it is strongly recommended not to expect too much.
Sonic Prime is an example, we expected too much to ultimately be over the result in the end.
Even for Shadow Generation, i don't expect much.
Exactly, I've been commenting on this on a few videos now. Lower your expectations, don't expect Amy to Show up, or Rouge either. This is going to be a loose adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2 with elements taken from that story along with Shadow the Hedgehog (2005). This is very much going to be Shadow's story, and we should expect that much. And for people being impatient about the trailer coming out, my guess as to why it is taking so long is that those damn strikes from last year really delayed stuff. Even though the movie is practically complete, CGI, voice acting, and editing are what takes the most time. This is not a criticism of the movie universe, but they are taking their time to build up this fresh take on the sonic universe.
I already have doubts whether or not Amy and Rogue will appear. We have not given much info or plot details of what Sonic 3 is going to b about yet, other than Shadow, then Eggman surviving the fall of his Death Egg robot, then reemerging from his defeat to devise a new plan. I do want to have my expectations too high for this yet.

Quick summary: expect Shadow and a bonus character. Don’t set you expectations too high or else you’ll hate the movie. If you set them lower you’ll still have a great time
All im expecting is for Amy to appear in this Movie along side Team Sonic and Shadow, Maria Getting Shot and for Rava The Destroyer (The canceled Villain from Sonic Movie 1 who appeared in the Sonic Movie 2 Prequill Comic) to take Black Doom's Place and Give Gerald his DNA And some of his Chaos Energy that will lead to creating Shadow!

There’s nothing wrong with being excited for a movie. Stop dragging other people down just because you liked the Knuckles show and can’t handle people disliking, which by the way, wasn’t just because it didn’t have Rouge or Metal Sonic. You’re bringing attention to an extremely small minority here.

I feel like this is pretty much gonna be a loose adaptation of SA2 with probably some elements from Shadow 05. All I'm expecting for this movie is basically Sonic and the gang facing off Shadow and Eggman as we also learn more about Shadow's past and maybe along with Maria, that's it. I'm honestly just waiting for the trailer to get a taste of it at this point, I wanna see Shadow in action along with Keanu's voice coming out of him.
It's totally going to borrow heavily from SA2. Also, Shadow's past with Maria is less of a maybe because they already cast Alyla Browne from Sting, Furiosa (Mad Max), Alice Hart, and Nine Perfect Strangers to play her in the movie. The trailer would eventually drop at any point in the next month or two. I'm not too worried about it.

I was a little scared about the video but after watching it, you’re completely right I think a lot of sonic fans don’t really understand how a movie works
Like a movie at best is 2 hours and most of that screen time has to be used for shadows backstory to make the general audience care for him
And something in the game just wouldn’t really work in a movie
U kinda forgotten that Paramount said they're going to borrow heavily from Sonic Adventure 2 not to directly adapt it from that game. I wouldn't expect to do just that but that's what they said in the articles.
Plus, yea we are getting Maria Robotnik in Sonic 3 because they just casted a young actress from Australia named Alyla Browne who has done movies and TV series like just recently Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Sting, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart and Nine Perfect Strangers.
Jim Carrey is still gonna b returning for the role of Eggman in a fat suit to have a game accurate look and thankfully after two years he didn't confirm retiring from acting so no Agent Stone replacing him like Snively from the SATAM 1993 cartoon.
We may or may not get Amy or Rogue in Sonic 3. We might get them. As long as they keep Rogue's breast's censored and that *toxic* fans b nice to Amy and not treat her as some stalker which she isn't. A fangirl character to crush on Sonic. I'm not expecting too much from this movie and I'm not worried about any trailers dropping. Sonic 3 will keep the main story of the previous two movies intact will also going a little more into the game lore.
After THAT trailer, dude i couldn't even if I wanted too
This movie is just gonna be them scaling shadows power and making it ridiculous overpowered so they can have some stupid “sonics team, vs shadow”. Its just gonna be an avenger movie with sonics team as the avengers, and shadow as thanos

Dude, Maria is confirmed. Alyla Browne has been cast as Maria. That said, I have no expectations for Sonic 3 because we live in an era where the standards for literally everything have been decreasing for quite a while now. Sonic 3 is probably going to be filled with fart jokes and Fortnite dances while it limps its way toward 500 million dollars.
My expectations for Sonic Movie 3 are a lot higher than previous movies as of fairly recent. Across the Spider-Verse and Inside Out 2 were the ones that I was most excited for, and they did NOT disappoint. Movie 3 is largely based off of my favorite plot from any Sonic game (SA2), and I believe that it will be a great movie even if it doesn't have everything that we're hoping for. Rouge officially isn't in it unfortunately, and I don't feel like Amy would be either to a point, although she did convince Shadow to help everyone in SA2. Biolizard, MAYBE. Chaos, also maybe. The game voice actors cameoing, I really hope so. Live and Learn is confirmed, but my hopes are pretty low for a lot of Sonic music.

Knuckles wasn’t written by the same people that did the movie. I understand your feelings towards the movie but that part isn’t any validation towards the movie possibly being bad.

@@tommydiaz-millan2438 i know that. I don't really get why people think sonic 3 will be terrible because of knuckles, when the person who directed the first episode (The one many people liked) is by Jeff fowler. The same guy who will ALSO direct sonic 3.
Im not expecting much but what i am expecting has already been confirmed, maria is in the movie whether well see her get shot idk but i see no reason it wouldnt happen idc about the biolizard but it would be cool and if anyone thinks amy supported the plot of SA2 i implore you to replay the game bc she did basically nothing but 2 things and anyone can make those two things happen, tails would be a good substitute for amy helping sonic get out and he would prolly be just as good as amy when giving shadow the whole moral speech, either way to say this movie is gonna turn out like knuckles show and have nothing to do with SA2 is wild bc the director himself has already stated the movie WILL be based heavily on SA2, the knuckles show had no such promise the only promise of the knuckles show we had was that we were getting a knuckles show no one ever confirmed the shows plot like sonic movie 3 has been, im not saying we shouldnt lower our expectations but just bc your expectations are low doesnt mean you should be telling everyone else their expectations need to be low too or that they WILL be disappointed purly based off the fact of the knuckles show, the only thing i can agree with is about the other character that absolutly needs to be put to bed, youre totally right, i do not see anyway amy omega or any others will be in any upcoming sonic film maybe a future spin off or something but that prolly wont be for a while, i can MAYBE see rouge but only bc knuckles has been getting some plot and he has the master emerald but thats it and thats not alot to make me really think rouge will be in this movie, personally i do think the end credits will be metal sonic and next movie is gonna introduce amy but i have nothing to support this idea just would make the most narrative sense to go next
Honestly the only thing I was expecting from Knuckles was having a good story.
But no, it was a cheap and incoherent rip-off of the first Sonic Movie.
Personally I think it’s best if they just have Shadow as the only new addition. I’m not expecting anyone else. I don’t really think anyone else is necessary.
My thing about "Wade 3 & Knuckles" is that I expected Knuckles to at least... be the main character... Since they advertised it as the "Knuckles" series.

the fact that we shouldn't expect more sonic stuff in a sonic movie is really telling because of how the last 2 movies barely had sonic canon in it and music and stories from the games. or much of anything that feels like sonic. the rest is just human characters with their boring stories. I won't accept that the sonic 3 movie is gonna be good until I see it. but other people can just hype it up if they feel like it I guess. I do not feel like being let down by this third movie too.

I had to pause and go check out this fake review you were talking about cause it sounded so absurd. Did he...Think that his fanfiction series was good? If the Knuckles fanfiction he told HAD been the series, that would have BOMBED so hard, the shock waves would have reverberated to the movie, and they would have cancelled Sonic 3 in shame.

I can see them adding rouge since she was a big part of sonic adventure 2... amy and omega, not so much. Would be very surprised to see omega, I only remember him being in sonic adventure 1.

Omega debuted in Sonic Heroes, not Adventure. That was Gamma.

expect sonic 3 and don't expect sonic adventure 2. Sonic movie 2 was not Sonic The Hedgehog 2 game adaptation. It was the sequel to sonic 1 which also was not a sonic 1 adaptation so that means sonic 3 will just be sonic 3 with shadow

Good to see somebody agrees. The first Sonic film was pretty bad, and the second was quite mediocre. My expectations for this third film will not be high.
I went into sonic 1 with low expectations and had a good time.
I went into so 2 with HIGH expectations and had a horrible time.

Guys, I don’t know where you’re getting this information from but that’s not it. Just because he said to lower your expectations for Sonic 3, doesn’t mean he thinks the film will be bad. He’s just saying to just enjoy the movie for what it is. This is ‘SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3 (2024)’ we’re talking about, not ‘SONIC ADVENTURE 2: THE MOVIE’. It might not even follow the games properly as there could be some changes in the storyline.
