I got my PR in Feb, 2019 and started applying for the jobs in April, 2019 and my planned date for arrival was 10th May, 2019. So I started applying for the jobs like 1 to 1.5 months before landing and told the recuiters that I am currently in India but will land on 10th May, 2019. So many recruiter contacted me and I was able to secure a telephonic interview with one of the biggest retailer in Canada and secured a job before coming to Canada.
Good Info. I like your videos. I am expecting my COPR around Sep and then immigrate by Mar 2021. I am saving important videos about Canada from you & other youtubers too, to refer them later. This one goes to my Canada watchlist.
One more option, after getting your COPR. Take leave for a month, land in Canada, have your SIN and Canadian address/number. Go back to your home country. Start applying from there because now you’re just a flight away from Canada. People often do this, I know one guy and he get a field job after 18 months. 18 months is a bit more but often people can get a job a within an year ✌️

One thing I noticed in both of you, even you guys have lots of hands on experience on issue that you describe in video, you're still so humble and act as if you're still learning. I am Well Tester, with 11 years of oilfield experience, 12 years of total experience. I worked for CNPC, Expro - Saudi Base, Halliburton - Saudi Base. I landed in march 2020 and waited for w months to check what are the requirements to get job. Then I did all the Safety Tickets which are required to work in Canada. As mostly oil business in Alberta and there were no flights at that time. I drove car to Alberta and Get all the safety tickets including Standard First Aid / CPR and AED of Aleberta with British Columbia out Jurisdiction. Oil market is not good in these days. After courses I came back. I am still looking for role. I worked on multiple roles from junior operator to senior operator, supervisor and data acquistion system engineer to rigless well site coordinator. I have counsultancy based role in Saudi but saudi is not taking outside flights till august. If anyone in the list help me to step in.

It is relatively easy for a Software Developer/Engineer to get a job, once you have a COPR, before moving to Canada. I was able to secure couple of offers before landing. All you need is a Canadian number using a service like TextNow and a concise resume in Canada format. Also you need to be ready to be interviewed at odd timings in the night.

The bitter Reality - if you are just a person in the pool with an express entry profile- you can never get a job offer from Canada, no matter how good you are, HR will just revert with a mail saying “though your skills are very competent but we are currently pursuing other candidates who have the required skills” - and the skill is- having a PR. So it is waste of time until you at-least have copr. I don’t believe about the girl he mentioned as an app developer and she was able to go through multiple interviews- 90% of people migrating to Canada are app or web developers, even if the story is true, the girl must be having strong relatives and contacts working at good posts in the companies who can influence HR’s. They just don’t entertain profiles outside of Canada, that’s it.

I do have a job offer from Kitchener, ON, I work with them as a freelancer from the past 1 and 1/2 years, they are thinking of getting an LMIA but they are very busy with their business and having a second thought of investing money cause there are Lawyer charges($ 3500) and LMIA ($1000), Before LMIA they have to post jobs everywhere and they have to reject applicants so that they can apply LMIA and get positive answers from the government. I have only bachelors and I am getting frustrated if Express entry will not work for me then I am thinking of moving as a Students.
