I feel like this is such a nice and harmless way to be a little extra with my skincare and take care of my face a little more, genuinely wanna try these
These are great for temporary reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, but wrinkles start because of a reduction in collagen in the lower levels of the skin. As a recommendation it might be more cost effective to invest in treatments like PRP micro needling, which actually increases collagen and thus reduces wrinkles long term. Spending at least $40 a month on these when they only work superficially doesn’t seem worth it overall. Love your channel, just wanted to give my perspective😘❤️❤️❤️
There is something to using silicon though. When my sister was little, she got a very deep scar on her lower leg that looked like a trench in the ground (four wheeler accident). They had her wear a silicon pouch with a net around it + her leg, and it gradually filled in the area and actually made her leg look more normal

No shade for those who want that look, but I've rarely seen good Botox -- e.g. over time, Botox-Face is A Thing and I would rather have wrinkles and have a face that looks authentic than mannequin-like. Hossh set reminds of all of those you can find on aliexpress. And they are so much cheeper. We forget that a lot of products on Amazon are white label stuff from China and if you do your research you can find original Chinese products for the price they are worth. I also wouldn't like to call them budget items or cheaper, because they work the same and last the same :) (if you check the info on how and why they work effectively on wrinkle prevention, you will understand why most of the silicone patches work anyway). For price affordable to anyone who doesn't want to overpay where you shouldn't I swear it doesn't matter if u pay 25$ or 8$ it's the same magic. I see why you would prefer Sio because of its thickness. Im also good with the China ones :) Keep up the good content. ❤️
@TheMistLink It may work for water loss, but in long term your face has no access to air (all night!) and as @A BCD said it deffinately cause your skin to sweat more, which can cause clogged pores. I would say that, in long term slipping on your back wth pillow case is much better.
I swear, - if you started a channel about car motors, - I’d subscribe, *just* to hear your voice and watch you talk about car motors , - and I’d still feel sooooo calm and happy listening to your voice, and watching your highly calming presence. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I have a question, these seem very interesting but I was thinking that everyone ist always saying remove your makeup at night because that’s when your skin breathes the most. And don’t these patches maybe prevent the skin from breathing at night too?
It's worse when you spend a lot of time and effort using that electric current NuFace thing to smooth out the forehead wrinkles and it looks great, but then you go to bed and ruin the whole treatment by night scowling.
these strike me as basically the same thing as silicone scar sheets and i can buy a pack of 8 of those at my local drugstore for like $9... I wonder if anyone's done a side by side comparison and wear test?
I have used both, the Sio are much thinner and flexible whereas the scar patches are thick and easily move off your face especially after a couple uses. I had to use the scar patches on my face after having pre-cancer removed and I remembered I had some Sio things from a beauty subscription so one night I put a scar patch on the right side of my forehead above my eyebrows where I'm getting some intense wrinkles (I constantly raise that eyebrow without knowing it) and went to sleep, the patch didn't make much of a difference and it kept wanting to move around. So the next night I used the Sio in the same spot, went to sleep and woke up and there was a noticeable difference and it hadn't budged all night plus I didn't notice it during the night like I did with the scar patch. The Sio patches work really good on the chest too especially if you have those deeper lines forming like I do from being a side sleeper with G size boobs. A celebrity makeup artist I know uses these with her clients and her self for years so that's how I heard about them forever ago and have been surprised they haven't been popular on TH-cam. Frownies are something else she uses on clients but that's to use while being out living your life, they help with temporary adjustments of pulling the skin taunt but they don't prevent/minimize like Sio does. Hope this helps.
I love the concept, but never figured out how you can use them (or micropore medical tape) if you had moisturizers or other products on the skin. Thank you for addressing this. Maybe I’ll go ahead and try using the medical tape I already bought a year and two botoxes ago.
Such a FANTASTIC video! So real and honest. I use masking tape like frownies and it works great if you are on a budget. Although frownies are pretty inexpensive. Just watch some frowning videos so you know how to apply the masking tape properly. There’s also a cute video about a girl who uses duck tape like frownies.
🤩🤩🤩🤩 I use the sio patches too and they are amazing! I do like the neck patch though, I just don't use it while sleeping. Normally use it before photoshoots and it's bomb!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I’ve been using sio patches on and off for years and love them!!! Just can’t re-purchase often bc they’re kinda pricey 😭. If I sweat too much, that’s the only time I have an issue. But I apply as they suggest to totally clean and dry skin bc otherwise they never stay for me
Wow! I just received my order of these from Amazon and haven't had a chance to use them yet...they work wonderfully!...very excited to try them, glad to know they have your approval! 🐈💙🌻🐦🐾💛🌱
I used to use Frownies☺️⚡️ maybe I’ll give these a shot.. but they probably won’t stick if you have moisturizer or skin care on, I’m thinking... thanks!
The SiO patches are meant to be applied onto cleansed skin as other products would interfere with their adhesion so we do recommend not using them over moisturizers. You can use other creams and serums around the patches just not underneath. You will notice an increase in hydration under the patches and quicker results from any serums or moisturizers! 🙂
I just started using medical tape on my elevens and my smile lines. I didn’t even think of the Sio patches. The medical tape is working for me, I think?? Great video! Thank you.
Side note. I loved your earrings with the dangly thing so much that I went ahead and got them after you did your jewelry video and I love them! They go with everything and add such a subtle yet noticeable edge to anything. ❤️
Alex have you ever used frownies? I’ve seen them reviewed a few times but I am interested in your opinion of them if you have/ or would be willing to try them! Also the milani eyebrow pens! 💜
I’ve been using Scotch tape for between my eyebrows for 10 years after tryin these things called “frown -ease”. Worked for me. Ppl think I’m 10-20 years younger than I am bc I use retin A in my 40s and scotch tape haha the silicon thing you shared at the beginning looks so nice and soft. The micro needle patches sound awesome now that I’m starting to get a line between my brows. Waaa Thanks for sharing and keeping yourself ahead of aging!
Thank you! I have developed such deep undereye wrinkles in the last year, particularly under my left eye. I haven't known what to do, other than sunscreen, more hydration, and retinol...
Very cool! These are the improved versions of Frownies and Wrinkies that were invented in 1889. They really work, but they are so uncomfortable only a masochist can wear them overnight.
You know what, I NEVER notive breakouts in the areas that I wear them. I think because they trap in the moisture and typically my skin breaks out when it's dehydrated
If you think these are too expensive, you can get scar patches in the health and beauty area at Walmart. I'm pretty sure they are much cheaper, but they are silicone patches, too. I used them on scars from a cat bite, and they are barely visible. If they can get rid of a purple scar, they can get rid of wrinkles!
@@Hippidippimahm they work really well if you use them consistently! It really makes you aware of when you are raising your eyebrows so you are mostly training yourself to avoid doing it. I started getting deep lines in my forehead in my early twenties(I'm 34 now) and I was surprised how well they worked. I got Botox when I hit 30 but def still use these when it's wearing off. I would say if Botox is a 10 Frownies would be a solid 7. They don't work as well for me on crows feet, I use them on my forehead only.
I relate to the whole “sleeping with my face smashed into my pillow twisted side sleeper” position. I wake up and sometimes have wrinkles from my blankets and sleeping on my hand. Glad to know I’m not the only one 😂
I wish I would have known about this sort of stuff yeeeeears ago. I’m 39 and have incredibly expressive eyebrows so my forehead has had deep creases ever since I was a teenager. I don’t think I have any choice but filler now (or just acceptance... or bangs).
I relate! Pictures of me at 16 already show these forehead lines. Even though I've named them "badges of deep thinking" I work to minimize them. These SIO patches are now on my wish list!
Before I find the silicone ones here: amzn.to/3at847K ... I used scotch tape in a small cross over my ditch between my brows. I didn't find it irritating but if I sweat in my sleep it would come off and there were temporary lines outlining the tape in the morning which were gone by the time I left for work. It really worked to stop me from continuing to frown and dig in the lines. All you need is anything that stops the muscle from moving and making the crease for a few hours a day and it will reduce. I also massage the muscle on either side of the ditch which really helps.
@@teletubbiestunetwister9570 Clever! I'm sure the tape trick can't be "officially" endorsed (& I can totally picture Alex cringing!) but it makes sense that this & the right kind of massage would work
Thank you so much for this video, I can’t wait to try these patches 😊..btw my dermatologist recommended using medical tape basically in the same way, not sure how effective that would be lol.
Before silicone patches, I heard of using micropore medical tape the same way with good success. I think the original brand of wrinkle tape were called Wrinkies and Frownies. So I think the “scotch tape” ones might also work.

For price affordable to anyone who doesn't want to overpay where you shouldn't I swear it doesn't matter if u pay 25$ or 8$ it's the same magic. I see why you would prefer Sio because of its thickness. Im also good with the China ones :) Keep up the good content. ❤️
When skincare products quickly go rancid... the benefits of “clean beauty” “preservatives are bad and toxic”. So is mold and mildew. 🙃🙋🏼♀️😂
Couldn’t agree more. 🙌🏻
EXACTLY! This is what is wrong with paraben-free products.
Clean beauty to me just means no fragrance
@A BCD But it works though? 😕
@TheMistLink It may work for water loss, but in long term your face has no access to air (all night!) and as @A BCD said it deffinately cause your skin to sweat more, which can cause clogged pores. I would say that, in long term slipping on your back wth pillow case is much better.
I am sooo glad to see you cover these! I've even looked into them, but was afraid to pull the trigger. Thank you! I will definitely purchase them now.
Frownies are pretty great for the “angry 11”, too. They’re firm and adhere to the skin, kind of like a little cast.
0:12 this is my fave reaction face thingy of yours
😂😘
@@AlexandraAnele OMG THANK U FOR REPLYING
i love you and your honest videos. like i trust everything u say 😭🙏🏼✨
Alex playing with her hair while making a video is such a pixie cut mood. I never stop touching it!
Ooh I'm so here for this! Give me the advice sis
🙌🏼😂
👂 👀.... Can’t wait. In. Desperate. Need. ❤️
Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! I never knew these existed, but it's genius. Buying them literally this very minute!
I wanted to buy those but free of any creams and serums...?I'm so glad you're mentioning this! :)
🙌🏼
Scolling through the comments and Alex has applied to like over half. Damn girl, impressed.
i literally scowl and furl my brow in my sleep SO HARDDDDD! i wake up frowning and i’m like why 😂 what am i so mad at? i need help
Moooodddd like i dont do that but the not knowing what youre mad at? That..that is way too relatable
It's worse when you spend a lot of time and effort using that electric current NuFace thing to smooth out the forehead wrinkles and it looks great, but then you go to bed and ruin the whole treatment by night scowling.
Resting bitch face? Lol!
Dude this is me. Like why am I so angry to be asleep?!
Same
Your skin looks so good. At my age (30) I'm all about my under eye wrinkles and my large pores. Thanks for recommending these products!
these strike me as basically the same thing as silicone scar sheets and i can buy a pack of 8 of those at my local drugstore for like $9... I wonder if anyone's done a side by side comparison and wear test?
That's what I was thinking 🤔
I havent done a side by side but I had the same thought.
I’ve seen people
Use that sports tape.
It reminds me of a more modern/high tech version of a product called ‘Frownies’
Really like how chill you are. Also your voice is amazing😍 Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪💕
got these sio patches and they do work 100%
I love the concept, but never figured out how you can use them (or micropore medical tape) if you had moisturizers or other products on the skin.
Maybe I just look down too much when I wear the neck one 🤔
I’ve had those SIO PATCHED (still packaged) for months. NOW I’m gonna open them up & use them. Thanks. 😍😍😍😍
😂 Hope you love them!
I’ve been using sio patches on and off for years and love them!!! Just can’t re-purchase often bc they’re kinda pricey 😭. If I sweat too much, that’s the only time I have an issue. But I apply as they suggest to totally clean and dry skin bc otherwise they never stay for me
Could you do a skin care routine (morning or evening) it would be helpful
This is so helpful because now we know what they should look like and feel like if we get them!! Thank yoooouuuu Alex 😘
Glad it helps babe! 🙌🏼😘
Wow! I just received my order of these from Amazon and haven't had a chance to use them yet...they work wonderfully!...very excited
to try them, glad to know they have your approval!
🐈💙🌻🐦🐾💛🌱
Request/idea for video: custom lipstick by Finding Ferdinand. whole process of creating color, try-on and wear test, pls 😘
When i was 14 i put tape from my eyebrows to forehead in hope that they lift 😂 bruh seeing this makes me feel not crazy anymore
I am going to tell you the story of the 90 year old lady I took care of did this all the time. She did not have a wrinkle, not a one. Keep doing it.
@@smashedpowder shit now I’m gonna do it.
I dont encourage anyone to do it! It was just a silly teenage moment
@@smashedpowder do you do it? Were you inspired
Medical/surgical tape and silicone scar sheets work as well and are much more budget friendly.
It's what I've been using for a year☺️
What type of medical/surgical tape? Like, the paper type?
@@trisharoden5654 I've used silicone based and the transparent type (both by 3M).
@@islataylor6829 thank you!
May I ask your age? 🙈
Enjoying your use of every day language, profanity. Keep it real
I LOVE YOU. Hahaha! Best comment.
I'm recovering from a bad burn and in order to prevent scars, silicon thingy are suggested. So I'm sure they work also for wrinkles!
I wonder how this would work for acne prone skin since they don’t seem breathable?
You know what, I NEVER notive breakouts in the areas that I wear them. I think because they trap in the moisture and typically my skin breaks out when it's dehydrated
If you do your skincare before hand, and then do your morning routine after you remove these in the morning, you should be completely fine.
thanks for asking, because i was wondering the exact same thing.
It should be fine, might not be too good if you have an active breakout but other than that you're all good to go
If you have active breakouts, use pimple patches, and then put the wrinkle patch over.
These remind me of my Frownies! I've been using them for literally 10 years lol these do look cooler tho...
How well do they work for you? I’ve seen them before but thought it would be uncomfortable😭
Thanks for saving me a bunch if $ I was just about to spend on Amazon. I appreciate your honesty!
I relate to the whole “sleeping with my face smashed into my pillow twisted side sleeper” position. I wake up and sometimes have wrinkles from my blankets and sleeping on my hand. Glad to know I’m not the only one 😂
Same here these seem like a great idea. Prevention is key 🗝️ 👍
Ugh me too ! I tried to shift but it's soooo comfy that way lol
Does this product help with compression lines due to side sleeping? I have this problem and it is irritating.
I love that you're original
At my age, I'd have to plaster them on from my tata's up.
A feel ya’. Well not literally (I don’t think😉)
Hahah!
Not too late, ladies!!!!! Never too late to start with something simple like this. How are old are you both?
Same
Lolololo
I was going to get the Smoothies! Glad to have seen this beforehand. Thanks!
I wish I would have known about this sort of stuff yeeeeears ago. I’m 39 and have incredibly expressive eyebrows so my forehead has had deep creases ever since I was a teenager. I don’t think I have any choice but filler now (or just acceptance... or bangs).
You should try them! You might be surprised!
@@AlexandraAnele couldn’t hurt!
I'm sure the tape trick can't be "officially" endorsed (& I can totally picture Alex cringing!) but it makes sense that this & the right kind of massage would work
I am here all day for this skincare vid! Love you, dropped everything to watch.
🙌🏼❤️
I'm 23 but I'm here to learn 💕💕😇
Heyyyy enjoy your youth, these will be here when you feel you need them 😘
man i just turned 24 and i’m already looking for prevention techniques lmao
Ayy im 20😂😂
Me too I turned 24 last month, need to get started early.
23 here I have lines already especially frownlines.
Thank you for reviewing. You answered a lot of guestions I had about them!!
Thank you so much for this video, I can’t wait to try these patches 😊..btw my dermatologist recommended using medical tape basically in the same way, not sure how effective that would be lol.
it works! i’ve done it for years 🙃
Before silicone patches, I heard of using micropore medical tape the same way with good success. I think the original brand of wrinkle tape were called Wrinkies and Frownies. So I think the “scotch tape” ones might also work.
This makes me think of frownies!
Almost, but frownies have an adhesive that can damage the skin
I love how you get straight to the point. I mean the title alone lol ❤️
OMG
you say “excess”, where ALL the other “influencers” say access!!!! kills me.
one of the few who are real, you are. thanks for the genuine-ness! it’s appreciated
omg i’ve been growing fine lines under my eyes recently thanks for the video ❤️❤️❤️
