  • Sabudana kichidi ( Tapioca Pearls )
    Ingredients - Sabudana ( Tapioca Pearls) , peeled & chopped potatoes, finely chopped green chillies, chopped ginger, curry leaves & coriander leaves, a wedge of lemon juice, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, peanuts or groundnuts, salt as per your taste and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
    In a bowl, take Tapioca pearls, wash well & soak Tapioca Pearls for 4 - 5 hours with water ( measurement is 1: 1) to avoid getting soggy
    After 5 hours, sabudana (Tapioca Pearls)
    would have sized up
    Dry roast the groundnuts, peel it, and grind into a coarse powder, keep it aside
    Chopped potatoes, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, and curry leaves 🍃
    In a hot wok, pour groundnut oil, add in mustard seeds, after it crackles, add in cumin seeds, then add curry leaves, add finely chopped chillies, ginger and fry well, then add in chopped potatoes and saute well, add in a spoon of salt, saute well for sometime, then goes in soaked Sabbakki or Sabudana or Tapioca Pearls, give it a nice mix, let it cook until it becomes transluent, then add in salt as per your taste, add in teaspoon of sugar, finally add in coarsely grounded peanut powder,coriander leaves and mix well. Squeeze in a wedge of lemon juice while serving.
    Enjoy your healthy Sabudana kichidi with a cup of curd or with coffee/tea

    How do you ensure that the tapioca does not stick? I use stainless steel or carbon steel. I do not use non-stick pans ever.

      Thank you for subscribing to my channel.
      Avoid soaking the Tapioca with too much water.
      Preheat the pan over medium heat for a few minutes, or until you can feel heat a few inches above it. After the pan is hot, seasoning the pan with oil can also help to avoid stickiness
