What a great project and info. Can not beat the deal. I think having the GPS is such a huge bonus.
Yeah, there’s a lot of “chatter” about the reliability but that’s why you always have redundancy.

When I had my 2018 SGS I used the GPS navigation a few times. But I loved having a map to navigate around the turn by turn. Just a tip they sell screen protectors for the screen on Amazon to protect from the UV rays and scratches. God bless and safe travels.
That’s good gouge on the screen protector! Definitely gonna get one.
I know they are not as user friendly as the upgrade but it sure is nice to be able to see the road on the map.
So far it seems pretty simple to me. We will see how it does over time. Yeah, squinting at the phone was getting old. Plus, you don’t always have cell coverage.

Yeah man! Antenna works great. One thing, if you install it inside a garage, back the bike outside the first time you test the nav. At first I thought the antenna didn’t work then I rolled the bike out side and boom…came to life.

Free is for me! Yeah, I’ve kicked the idea around but, didn’t want to put a bunch of $$ in it. This worked out great!
cool upgrade GTS cam out in 19 . i had lot problem with my 16 radio. I upgraded to gts and got new bike came with it . I thought your gps antenna would going give you problem cause mine is mounted up higher . but look like it working .
I think they got most of the bugs out with software updates. Yeah, I may have to move the antenna but it seems to be working alright.

I have no idea of any of this on bike audio nonsense. I have a Road King. I have the best of both worlds, my $20 earbuds and wind in my hair!
I hear you. This is my first bike with a radio. I seldom listen to it. Maybe long trips.
For nothing hell yeah and why not and in total for 100 bucko's to get it all set up is cool my bikes don't have a set up to run a unit like this.
