I never had a square body but I did have an 88 Silverado sitting on 35s with a 4 inch lift only had the stock 350 in it though sadly I sold it along with my yz450f in order to get a legal car but I got a 2014 Chrysler 200 to daily drive until I can afford to get a project truck

I’ve been restoring a GMC Pacer that my grandmother willed me. It’s pretty badass. I have most of the original mint green paint and wood grain paneling repaired. Once I get the 4-inch white walls and yellow bug catcher on it I’ll be ready to cruise the strip and pick up some honeys at the bingo parlor. It ran 17 minutes in the quarter mile.

Sometimes people say they have 700 hp when the actuality is….. this truck has never been on a Dino😂 I have normally aspirated small blocks that would stomp a mud hole in this powerless show truck
its a cool truck, but probably more like 20-25k to build not including the cost of the truck, really just depends on what the motor/trans setup is and how overbuilt the driveline is. you can spend a lot of money on a blown big block if you really wanted to but could also get this power on a budget if you needed to. suspension wise it doesnt look like anything too trick or crazy, its a mud truck not a rock crawler so it doesnt need anything super fancy. keep in mind, this is just an estimate of what you could build a truck like this for, and not what they did build it for. if you are wanting someone else to build it you could probably double that number.
$20-25k is about right, if you don’t care about the silly supercharger sticking through then closer to $10-15k. A stock 5.3 would be as fast as this truck, no way it’s pushing more than 300 to the tires.
@@MrPland1992 And the guys I talked to said it would've been 150K to build my 1994 F150. My frame was already bad from the get-go so I really didn't have a choice but to go with a new frame since all the junkyard frames were trash as well. I had one guy tell me it would be 15K for a new one and I was like "Okay, cool, no problem". I asked how much would a 600HP FE twin turbo 462 big block would've been, and one guy said just shy of 20K and another said in the midst of 50K. 20K I didn't mind spending, but 50K?!?....Nah. Ended up getting fed up and junked the old Ford, went and got me a new one that occasionally goes into limp mode for reasons unknown. F--k Ford, get a Titan, Tundra or Sierra gasser if you wanna have something dependable.
@@animeaddict6907 it all depends man. I do ls swaps and charge $6k out the door. I get a $800 suburban and swap it all over. If you want everything new it’s $20k. Injectors are $800 alone, new o2 sensors $250, maf sensor $200 etc. I had a 1200hp twin turbo Silverado I built for $5K with some china turbos and a free 5.3 engine but if you want it done right it really does cost like $70k. Lsx block is $6k alone.

Only had the Ford for a month now so the dealership can't really do anything to trade it now until after I pay a certain amount on it. I was looking at a blue 2019 Sierra 1500 4WD (not the base model but not a top-of-the-mountain trim either) with the 6.2L V8. And at first, really wanted it but Jesus Christ the price tag was high...60K for a barely new truck. The first mod I had in mind for that 6.2 was to delete the Dynamic Fuel Manager and Stage 2 all the internals, as well as porting work on both sides of the stock cylinder heads and catless true dual straight pipes with 5 inch tips. Plus the truck had 3.55 gears so a swap over to 3.73 or 4.30 would've woken up the 10 speed. If I end up getting an older GM 1/2 ton truck, I'll go with an LS swap for certain. But if I get an older heavy duty GM truck, including the heavy-half trucks, I got to go with a big block and that is that lol.
Even with knobby grabby tires if I had 700 horsepower you'd get a better burn out so most likely it has 500 at the wheels maybe a 700 horsepower motor but it's not getting 700 hp to the wheels
You don't have to be full throttle to do a burnout. I mean I'm guessing it makes less than 700hp to the tires but I made 410hp on a good day in a truck on cast 22x40 and 40x15.50r22 and it would slide around like that. Made alot of torque and had gearing to help. But I do agree the truck doesn't sound that rowdy. A blown big block making 700ish should sound pretty gnarly. No way they'd Dyno it on those tires, no shop would let them, and typical drivetrain loss shouldn't be enough to knock it down to 500. I'm guessing the engine made over 700hp on an engine Dyno and then they put a big pulley on it for the kid to drive, made it "safe"
