This touched me particularly because baby Jane was almost the same age as my youngest daughter who has grown up to have a happy and successful life. There was a case a few years ago in Russia of a cat saving an abandoned baby who had also been abandoned in freezing weather, this time in a cardboard box in the street. The cat snuggled up to the baby to keep him warm and miaowed loudly to passers-by until somebody rescued him. Fortunately that baby was saved.

But her dogs took one baby out from the garden and showed it to the grandma (while the killer was "buying luxury bags and shoes in NY")

Justice wasn’t served. It should have been first degree murder. My biological mother was 16 years old, and knew that she didn’t want me, didn’t think she could give me a good life. She gave birth to me on her 16th birthday. I was in foster care for a few months before being adopted by my wonderful parents. This case is really making me reflect. I had a roommate who chose to abort a baby she conceived at age 20 (in the 1980s). Months later she said to me, "Doesn't even seem real that I was pregnant. It's like it never happened." She was able to push it to the back of her mind and ignore it. Like it never happened.
I'm guessing Lee Ann did the same sort of convenient mental gymnastics.
My friend wasn't very bright. I'm guessing Lee Ann isn't the sharpest tool in the box either.
My friend... she graduated college, married the father of her aborted child and went on to have two more children with him. I often wonder if her first child ever crosses her mind. I doubt it.
