Nah oda nobunaga is alright just as long if your not in his way. I played with an earth map and japan was in australia and i was in korea and china and we have a respectable friendship. He got sooo much ressources to trade.

The way he holds on to his sword in the peace screen isn’t a good way to draw it quickly for a strike. So him doing that implies he’s simply holding his sword for keeping it on his belt. Which kind of implies his non violent mood even more so. As he’s kinda just relaxing with his sword. If he were to draw, he would have to change his grip, and then draw. While from a normal stance like his war screen. His arm is already in a neutral spot so he can just quickly go for his sword and instantly perform a draw without having to change his grip.

Anime is japanese animation (wholely, for every audience), and unlike in the west where we think it's solely an adults medium with deep, mature storytelling, violence, blood and hentai, Japanese usually consider that anime is either for kids (will you say Hamtaro or Pretty Cure is for adults?) or otakus (most of all the otaku medium is actually fan service and other sexy catchy stuff). Also japanese call ALL cartoons/animation anime. Japanese traditional culture is, in fact, MUCH MORE. It's the western romanticized view of Japan vs Japanese culture. This is my second favorite theme from Civ V, the first being the Arabian peace time theme. Of all the computer leaders I've fought against, Oda Nobunaga seems to know when he's beaten the soonest. Others like Napoleon will keep demanding tribute even as I destroy their invasion forces.
There are still many castles in my country and i can assure it's a pain to live in them, it's not comfortable at all and it costs A LOT to maintain (repairing, heating during winters etc) and it's so big you spend hours each week trying to clean it.

The large one on his back is for taking out horses. The medium one on his left side that he is holding is for fighting infantry, and the small one on the right is for committing suicide because he's a fearless bastard.
Pretty good trading with him if he's far away from you. Otherwise just an inevitable overpowered scourge, making me go through 8 units in 2 turns just to stop his from advancing one tile.
@frostycold111 he rarely shows up in my games and doesn't really do much. In my experience the biggest warmongers besides them are Montezuma (obv) Nebuchadnezzar and Augustus.
You fail to grasp that these "evil nations" have already been punished. So, they no longer deserve to be hated. I don't care if they hate us, but we can still be the stronger people and still be friendly to them.
It's really, really weird seeing Nobunaga of all people chilling alone on some grassy knoll. It's not a particularly Japanese landscape on top of that(there's no fog or overcast and barely any trees!) It'd make more sense to see him by the open balcony on the top floor of Azuchi or Gifu castle overlooking the castle town, or perhaps in a typical Japanese war camp.
Anime is new in Japan...Manga is older than Oda Nobunaga and anime orgins from manga but still i see your point and well lets say that Japan has 2 cultures right now The modern which has Manga, Anime and gameshow and other random stuff which i love and then there is the older which has Katana smithing which is still active, Shinto which also is still actve, martial arts which also is active and alot more so Japan is kinda split inte modern and old parts i love and respect both

@frostycold111 he rarely shows up in my games and doesn't really do much. In my experience the biggest warmongers besides them are Montezuma (obv) Nebuchadnezzar and Augustus.
Japan spawned ridiculously close to me, so I surrounded it with my own cities. When Oda denounced me, I declared war and swiftly destroyed his empire.

It's really, really weird seeing Nobunaga of all people chilling alone on some grassy knoll. It's not a particularly Japanese landscape on top of that(there's no fog or overcast and barely any trees!) It'd make more sense to see him by the open balcony on the top floor of Azuchi or Gifu castle overlooking the castle town, or perhaps in a typical Japanese war camp.

Anime is new in Japan...Manga is older than Oda Nobunaga and anime orgins from manga but still i see your point and well lets say that Japan has 2 cultures right now The modern which has Manga, Anime and gameshow and other random stuff which i love and then there is the older which has Katana smithing which is still active, Shinto which also is still actve, martial arts which also is active and alot more so Japan is kinda split inte modern and old parts i love and respect both
