    Roxon has been putting out some really good multi tools. I have become something of a fan of their multi tools and how they are designed.

    I like that tool. Purchesed one six years ago. I don't ever carry it with me but I keep it in my tool box and use it in the garage or around the yard. Thanks for the video

    Happy new year, Just got the new phantom model, quite a chunky boy but the ability to replace the blade with a safety blade holder (at detriment to being unable to close the pliers fully) and the ez pop out side tools make it pretty neat, I will say there is clearly some compromises in some weird areas and the screwdriver seems to be better that the old one but very minimaly.
    Over all, looks better fit and finish wise and a good 50$ multi tool for the features

    Mr. Kincaid do you prefer this Roxon Spark or the Bibury 22 in 1 for generally purposes and outdoor use alike? The Bibury 22 in 1 is now $50 on Amazon with an $8 coupon.

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly the Spark feels lighter and more user friendly but the Bibury is more capable and tool dense. Every day carry I prefer the Roxon, outdoor heavy duty tool the Bibury.

    SOG PowerAccess is great as a companion to any real dedicated knife someone might be carrying. PowerAccess is very screwdriver-centric on its own and the knife is it's weakest feature (I also carry hex bits with the SOG especially when I'm at work). The little blade on the SOG is still razor sharp and handy for packages and envelopes even when you are carrying a larger blade. If you didn't have another knife on you, or didn't want to carry a dedicated knife - then definitely the Roxon would be preferable over the SOG.
    I'd prefer to save some weight on a plier based multitool and put that weight towards a dedicated knife of some sort personally. You split the weight of the tools over more than one clip or pocket that way, and definitely end up with a better knife at least...
    I'm definitely considering the Roxon as a gift for a fellow who I know doesn't normally even carry a pocket knife (I think everyone should).

    I actually prefer this to my go to leatherman surge... it feels nicer in the hand.

  • @maximous9993

    Does it really have plastic washers? Isn’t that gonna make it not last as long?

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not a knife expert but as I understand it some washers facilitate much smoother opening of the blades. On some even cheaper Chinese knives just using a different washer seems to make some knives much smoother in opening. I assume it was more about usability than longevity.

    Its a bold muti tool, manly appereance though. I like it. But im living in the city, so i dont think the ferro rod n whistle r needed. Just my opinion, mate. Come to think that i'd to give myself a gift; a Roxon Phantom s802. I like its replacable knive n carbide cutter. some say also about it is one handed deployment. Its quiet blowing my mind, mate! Have u review one? Id like to watch it before i purchase one 😇😁

      I had the Phantom and the Phillips driver was very soft and began to strip our. There is an updated version I plan to test out soon. I really like it otherwise. It is fairly heavy though.

      @@hvacbudget8600 oow yeah! I've seen your video bout that s802; Tragedy on Camera! That awful, mate. Too bad the screwdriver is screwed. I didnt think it can be that soft. How it can be that soft? Too bad, i really like the replaceable knives n carbide cutter though. Well, i gotta be patient n keep on watching your reviews to enlight n educate me about EDC. Its always interesting watching your reviews, mate. Thankyou n merry Xmas 2022 n happy new year 2023. Wish u a blissful n prosperous year.

    Not bad for a low budget tool… but why, why, why, did they fake the replaceable cutters !? 🤷🏻‍♂️ So close!

      I know!! This tool is pretty good.

    • @marsbase3729
      @marsbase3729 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it looks the cutters are riveted on there instead of screwed, which seems like if they are going to do all that, why not just thread the holes so they can be replaced, even if they charged a bit more to cover the cost, it seems like it would be worth it. 🤷

    I really don't see how this is better than the Bibury or Ozark Trail.
    It's also super bulky with all that stupid plastic and has few tools for the size.

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  ปีที่แล้ว

      It probably comes down to personal preference but the Roxon is 8.3 oz the Bibury is 9.6 oz. Also the Bibury has the glass breaker which is fairly sharp when you reach into the pocket for it. On the other hand the Bibury has two more larger tools.
