The lyrics in some songs are very simple and repetitive. Gimme Chocolate and Pa Pa Ya are good examples of that. They are fun party songs. Pa a Ya is about spicy Thai papaya salad and is just a song to jump around and be goofy. They also have songs like Road of Resistance, Rondo of Nightmare, Arkadia, Ijime Dame Zettai, Megitsune, etc. that have much more meaningful lyrics.
I'm glad you reacted to a live performance this time. The live show is really where Babymetal shines. The only problem with this video is that, while you see the crowd here, you don't hear them. Hearing the interaction between the band and the crowd as well as seeing it makes the experience so much better. ⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞 This is definitely a fun one. It's a Summer Festival song. Matsuri Da! (It's a festival!) The rapper F.HERO is from Thailand, and his rap is in the Thai language, rather than Japanese. This one was filmed at Yokohama Arena on the second of two nights. Their last couple of Arena concerts in Japan sold out in under an hour.
My comment has gone missing again so I'll try to add part of what I said here. F Hero said he tried to get his rap to mimic the rhythm of how you would have to make the salad, crushing the papaya with a mortar and pestle. Immediately after this performance in Yokohama Babymetal jumped on a plane, flew overnight half way round the world to London where they landed in the morning, drove half way across England and were on stage again at the Glastonbury festival just after midday. These girls work hard.

F.Hero got an email from Key Kobayashi (Kobametal) Babymetal's creator and producer to be part of a song about Som Tom. He was surprised that major international band even knew who he was. He wrote the rap lyrics and inputed the use of Thai folk music cords and instruments. The other thing that impressed him was the efficiency of the Babymetal crew. Everything was spot on time and when the show ended they were packed and off to England in an amazing short period of time.
Most of BabyMetal's songs are written for girls to relate to. Especially things like Megitsune. Karate is another one with a good message. Definitely look up the lyrics.
