Really awesome video! I'm a returning player, and a lot of the advice you gave was stuff I needed. It's nice to see a content creator with their fingers on the pulse of the new/returning player community.

Thank you for a great video with tips for new players to BDO. Much appreciated!
I've watched some videeos where people advice us (beginners) to not do the main quest line nor the side quests, but I'm relieved to hear there's another way to go about it because it seems to me that grinding alone wouldn't let me really get to know what's going on in the game world.

Yea you should do the main quest at least on your first character. The contribution points will come in handy as well.

Thank you for mentioning the Pearl Shop. You will get free pets, outfits, inventory expansions, etc. You do not need to spend money. You can wait awhile and decide if you want to buy certain things but wait for sales. There will also be discount coupons you can stack with sales.

still trying to figure out the point of the game after the main quest line... It's a fun game questing the main but I'm not seeing the point of the side quests and the life skill grind. I played W.O.W back in the day and some other games with similar mechanics but this one doesn't really tell me why i need , or would want to grind out other characters and life skills... can anyone give some insight? I've just got my first to lvl 60.

Wow is a theme park MMO. BDO is a sandbox. Basically the goal of the end game is to grind improve your gear and PVP. The PVE aspect of the game is slowly improving over the years, but the primary focus is PVP in node wars and castle seiges and the arena. The advantage of having multiple tools is it gives you multiple toons to grind with, so you can play with different styles. All your toons have the same amount of energy as well. It also makes it easier to manage life's lifeskills so that you can spread them out Instead of having them all on one character

@@averagedudesgamingcorner915 ahhh thanks for the clarification. I was never big on the PVP aspect of these games, always preferred storyline type stuff. Guess I'll be onto the next game soon 🤷‍♂️

@@1mikemcclure yea unfortunately the PVE is not where it needs to be yet. I feel like it is slowly getting there. The addition of the private grind spots daily is nice, and the dungeon is nice. This is the most solo MMO that I have played. For me it is good with a busy schedule since you can make money AFK.

@@1mikemcclure I also used to play WoW and didn't like PvP - except for one kind of PvP, which I love still: World PvP, or guild PvP, Faction PvP, etc. The kind of PvP where it isn't you against probably somebody who is much better at it than you are, but a large group of people against another large group of people. - Back in the vanilla days in WoW there used to be this kind of PvP, Alliance players would come and lay siege on the Cross Roads, and it was so much fun. I played a Troll Hunter and had some of my greatest fun ever in WoW when I was lvl 14 and at times managed to kill a lvl 40 (highest lvl at the time) who was close to death

@@averagedudesgamingcorner915 For me playing PvE solo is nice although having access to a dungeon with a group every now and then is nice to add a little difference to the soloing.
Question: Am I right in my assumption that BDO PvP isn't 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5, but large groups of people against another large group of people?

Quick tip for you, stop begging for subs and like and actually improve your content and your speech. And if you really want to do it, at least do It on the end of the video.
