They have it combined into 2 medals this year speed climbing and “sport” climbing, which is combined boulder and lead. I imagine they didn’t do lead on purpose.
I did try 20 different olympic sports once that was enough of an organisational challenge never mind 140. Interestingly some of the water sports were hard to find in the UK or at least where I was located at the time.
why is there so much athletics in your area? even in the end there were poeople playing basketball! this is just crazy to me idk even know how to explain it. im oh so jealous aswell. 24.8.1
I'm glad you guys had a fun time with Sailing! I would love to see you guys go back and try some of the actual Olympic sailing classes; they're all very different and fun in their own ways. Especially with some of the smaller boats you can really feel more connected to the water and waves compared to the bigger boats. There's nothing like surfing a wave on the downwind in a Laser/ILCA! And of course foiling and skiff sailing are their own things, with their own difficulties and thrills.
Sorry guys you did the kayaking but there are canoe events too. In those you kneel and they are significantly less stable than even the K2 you tried. Good effort though
I never realised how high hurdles are 😮 in general all of the athletics events you tried show how much technic athletes must have to compete on highest level. Even a fit person looks somewhat silly trying these.
This is amazing i;m going through my head trying to think what is left most of the cycling ones (BMX, mountain bike, track good luck doing an omnium lol road race) all the gymnastics trampolene and rythmic lots of the real endurance stuff marathon, 10km run, 10km swim + 400 800 and 1500, all the horse stuff, diving, golf, judo rugby 7s shooting table tennis taekwondo Hockey handball. Boxing Basketball 3x3 basketball Breaking Volleyball though it could be argued you covered that on the beach. rowing 8s, windsurfing
Yeah I was actually thinking it’d be so cool to sign up for and literally compete in every event over the course of a year This week made me realise how many fun sports there are out there so now I just want to do them all lol
Based on his form, I assume Connor actually ran hurdles at some point - maybe just high school, but he clearly understood the concept. I raced them once in college, because some other folks dropped out and it was a quick way to score some points. It was a disaster but I believe I still scored us 1pt. Great series, looking forward to the next eps.
They are very, very narrow boats so its very easy to tip it off balance, the K1 boats they tried are quite narrow but not as narrow as the k2. Plus if one paddler moves their hips wrong or leans off balance the other can over react making the situation worse. Take that with a grain of salt though, I paddle whitewater kayaks, not sprint boats
That's a definite fail on both the k1 and the k2... What were you guys doing lol 😂.. the ski was a beginner ski and that k2 was even a more stable boat from the 90s... I like the concept, but you might have to up your game boys..
@@lachlanearnshaw it definitely is an acquired skill, most people spend the first 3 weeks falling in and it's a few months until you can actually put any power down, hopefully you can both revisit it one day it definitely takes patience and you need someone to coach you, once you learn that forward motion gives you stability(like a bike) and learn bracing strokes and resting your blade on the water for support you only improve from there.. your biggest mistake was not having both hands on the paddle.. paddling is a great sport once you get hooked. Respect for having a go 👍😎
@@stormer6364 I've never paddled racing kayaks but I do paddle whitewater boats which are more stable (though still not particularly stable) and quite a few people in our clubs fall in even with whitewater boats on flat water while they are learning how their hips and edging affects the boat. Also spinning. Lots of spinning. Absolutely love it though, its such a good sport
@@sgkingly8392 that's awesome, white water would be fun.. I'm enjoying watching the Olympic white water, they got some skills.. there's not much in the way of ww around me here tho there is surf tho which also gets the old blood pumping.. 😎
Imagine a title of an article.
"Australian olympic tripple jumper gets injured while trying shot put with friends and will miss the Olympics"
UPDATE: Connor Murphy made it to the final of the triple jump and came 8th overall! Very impressive, well done!
how does elliot casually know so many top athletes and people with access to equipment LOL
"your network is your net worth" 🤔🤔
fr bro’s roommate is competing at the olympics??
You guys actually did pole vault! Can't wait for 10meter dive😂
Really cool to see everyone including olympians helping as well, big up Connor!
😂😂😂😂😂
This series is gold
Like all the medals Australia is bringing back
What's even more awesome than what you're doing is how you guys are so well connected in the Olympic space hahah!
Most looking forward to the breakdance competition that is part of this year's Olympics
Ray Gunn
So when is the 273 km cycling road race video??
You deserve so many more viewers than this lads this is peak sports content right here.
elliot is that annoting friend better in everything first try for no reason hahahaha
These guys have a goated playlist in this series
Definitely love the way it is not perfectly produced, its perfect
Thank you for the freedom units 😅
This is one of my favorite youtube series of all time. It somehow captures the excitement and ingenuity of 2008/2009 YT. Thank you!!!
Dont forget the decathlon😂
technically it will be covered by the other events -
This is as impressive shit. You guys must be absolutely knackered. Avoiding injury must be a major goal.
Synchronized swimming and the equestrian events should be interesting😂
They did synchronized swimming in the last one right after water polo.
I can’t wait for dressage and show jumping!
You guys sure are the Olympic champions in the 140athlon👍
Centadecaquinquaginta-thlon I guess.
you missed lead climbing so if u decide to go back for it you should take some big whippers that would be fun to see
They have it combined into 2 medals this year speed climbing and “sport” climbing, which is combined boulder and lead. I imagine they didn’t do lead on purpose.
Im looking forward to the 10km open water swim..
Day 6
@@lachlanearnshaw and the 50k walk, better but some of those special shorts 😁
@@stormer6364they already did a 20k walk
fuark yeah, been hanging out for day 3, ty for the upload!
I did try 20 different olympic sports once that was enough of an organisational challenge never mind 140. Interestingly some of the water sports were hard to find in the UK or at least where I was located at the time.
Loved watching the sailing guys, best of luck! See you both at LA2028 yeah? #Paris2024Sailing
Thanks! Bit of work to do before 2028 but can’t rule anything out just yet
Incredible idea and amazing work so far guys ! Congrats for making it to 50 !
Wow! Crazy this doesn’t have more views. One of the best channels on TH-cam
the music copyright must be wild for these videos!
"Discuss" lol
Loving this series, look forward to the next one
Thoroughly enjoyed this video, good music, lots of laughs. Nice job!
again... the music is PEAK! fantastic production, can't wait for days 4-7!
Would have been great to see you on a 49er but can't blame you for fitting in what you can
why is there so much athletics in your area? even in the end there were poeople playing basketball! this is just crazy to me idk even know how to explain it. im oh so jealous aswell.
24.8.1
Loving the series so far
And it was one of the old wide olympic K2s which are 52cm wide and more stable than the ones with ~40cm width used today 😅
Pretty apt summary of how my Grandad says he used to get to school
People don't usually realise that being strong is nowhere near enough for Olympic weightlifting. It's a humbling sport. Incredibly technical.
You should show your daily stats from your watch! like steps taken, calories burned etc! Would be pretty interesting.
This series wins a gold medal. Well done lads.
Hey Guys, just gotta chip in saying this really is a great series! Love the work and keep up the hype for the Olympics!
He casually mentioning that Elliot's roommate is an olympic athlete

High diving should be a fun one...
Yeah day 7, turns out one of us is very afraid of heights
Let’s goooo! Day 3 was a good one
Having a blast watching these!
I love this series tho, and you have an amazing music choice!
Good on you guys for giving sprint canoe a try!! You did fantastic for your first every try. Thanks for giving it some great watch time! :)
You need to do a Olympic size and a normal speed wall
Freedom units made me laugh!
Let’s go sailing! You guys gotta try foiling!
Sorry guys you did the kayaking but there are canoe events too. In those you kneel and they are significantly less stable than even the K2 you tried. Good effort though
I tried a C1 canoe once. Couldn't even leave the dock. Impossible compared to the already very difficult kayaks.
Zwift on, Lachie on
Great series! And so many cool sports I had no idea were in the Olympics!
I never realised how high hurdles are 😮 in general all of the athletics events you tried show how much technic athletes must have to compete on highest level. Even a fit person looks somewhat silly trying these.
Elliot and the marathon is going to be box office. Unreal stuff boys
watching this. you really missed out on rock climbing. its a lot of fun when you aren't deadly tired
Oui!!! He finally tried my sport track and field!
love the series. you legends❣

Best youtube content creator 🤣🤣🤣
W music choice
I show my respect because of your abilities in K2 but you skept c1 and C2
killer soundtrack
this series is great do more like it
you guys are mad! This is literally my dream though - to do this in 365 days not 7 :D
Yeah I was actually thinking it’d be so cool to sign up for and literally compete in every event over the course of a year
This week made me realise how many fun sports there are out there so now I just want to do them all lol
Would have been nice to have the times on the track and also from the swimming events the day before. Great video anyway !
Good call I’ll add them in the next videos - otherwise it’s all on my Strava
Where's the manta sleep link? Pretty weird item but I'm into it
tinyurl.com/285x9m78
Honestly bloody good sleep masks
You just did kayaking but you guys should try actual sprint canoe where you kneel on one knee in a boat it is also an Olympic sport
Where was where was hammer throw?
good video series lads enjyoing it
Hoping for curling in the Winter Olympics!
love the music

I’m gonna be honest right now, the tracks and field events were pretty depressing.
Waiting for the 10 KM open water...
Is this video properly uploaded because is is not showing up on the channel
when's the next one coming?
About 12 hours
You didn’t do Lead climbing?
missed hammer
When will you do canoe sprint?
bro pls make merch I would eat that up
Can anyone in the comments explain why the doubles Kayak was so unstable?
They are very, very narrow boats so its very easy to tip it off balance, the K1 boats they tried are quite narrow but not as narrow as the k2. Plus if one paddler moves their hips wrong or leans off balance the other can over react making the situation worse.

You might of already figured it out by now or someone may have told you, but no 3km in the olympics said at 17:34 so you can leave that one out!
Amazing music choices, makes me a little bit sad you're not making any money of the videos cause of it though lol
what about high jump?
no lead climbing?
Hey you forgot Hammer throw
That was not speed climbing?
He dident do hammer throw

100% a fail! Was the most unexpectedly hard sport of the week IMO, mad respect to any kayakers out there.
Yeah definitely a fail on kayaking - can’t believe people can actually ride those let alone race

5000m has to be done on track. A 5k street run is something completely different.
That k2 was not like the ones sjef in olympics. That there is as wide as a warship! So disappointing 😢
Lead climbing?😢
You both would have gotten a total of 0 kg in weightlifting
