Hola looks so up class compared to the Gate. It’s a shame that Hola has been discontinued. I’m sure that people are happy to pay extra to have the Hola shell.
My concern is the Sound , How's the sound ? Previously I had Blon03 , Fabulous iem , no ear fatiguing treble , Adequate Bass the way it is tuned for it's soundstage , Superb listening Is the GATE similar or better?
Bummer. You introduced me to Holas. I recently lost one while traveling and immediately went to re-up thinking these were my go to cheap iem. The whole point of an entry level iem is you don't have to stress about losing them. When I couldn't find any I suddenly realized how much I had grown to love them at any price. I've been trying other cheap/mellow pairs, some mentioned here, and I find them unusable for various reasons, especially the upper mid bump. I also like to think I don't care how things look, but in retrospect I think they were the best looking design ever, and fit great. If I keep trying cheap pairs I'm gonna run up the cost of a mid level with no satisfaction. Love the tone of your channel. You're the Hola of iem reviews haha. cheers.
I really regret for not buying the Hola before they got discontinued. :( The Gate looks like a good replacement. I just wish they re-release the Hola, even in a different price bracket Does the cable fits the Moondrop lineup?
My guess that Truthear is the sister company of Moondrop, they have almost identical cables with Chu 2, but Hola/Gate one is so much softer and flexible and this one has chin slider, which improves comfort a lot
I finished recording yesterday, precise and correct review. Gate is a solid IEM, but not at all in line with Hola. It is more of a cheaper or Mini Hexa
it doesn't feel like it can compete with todays budget iems, hola had a niche for relaxing treble, now that it has basically the same tuning as other budget iems i feel like it lost it's point.
Would you recommend the Truthear Gate or Moondrop Chu II if I don't like bulky and big earphones as my ears get uncomfortable and fatigued quickly? I had Tangzu Wan'er before.
I went with gate because, i won't buy chu because of oxidation issues , i won't get tangzu either cuz it's cable is bad . I dont want something which doesn't last long.
I found the EW100p to be a little more shouty to me. This is probably due to how they fit though, as the EW100p doesn’t fit my ear as well, so it probably sits a little more shallow and affects the response in my ear differently
@@sidesaladaudio i see yes bro im also gonna use it for my moondrop x crinacle dusk my friend told me to jnust buy this just for cable i was wondering if it really that good
It is a bit of a shame, the super relaxed tuning of the Hola, great accessories+build as well as the classy design made it a default recommendation and gift for friends of mine, and while the Zero 2 does maintain that more relaxed tuning, it is in my opinion way uglier and seems to have less premium accessories. I think for the foreseeable future the Chu 2 will hold that spot for recommendations and gifts for me given the design, build and the very exciting tuning.
Maybe its just me, but I much prefer the extra energy of the gate (listening using an hola with eq) compared to the zero 2 (using a zero 1 with eq). The zero 2 after using the eq profile for a while sounds kinda dead and boring.
Gate is good, but it has to deal with the fact that Hola came first and that’ll be hard to overcome… and Gate kind of feels like a happy meal toy.

Is it same like Logitech G102 vs Logitech 203 case? Like both literallly same but since 102 more famous so everyone just choose it?

This is a review that is what most would call "Short but sweet." It is succint. Straight to the point. Thank you so much for the IEM review, James! ♥️
This vs Chu 2 DSP is what interests me.

The Hola (and now Gate) cable alone is worth it.
I didn't want to spend more money on IEMs this month but I must admit I'm tempted to get one unit.

I'm happy that treble quality is promising

I loved the Holas until I compared it to others and noticed the darkness. Not sure when I'll get my hands on these tho
I wish someone could explain what is the big deal of the cable. Cuz i dont get it.
The Richard Nixon iem....
great video i enjoyed it. could you also do a review of 7hz Sonus? it only cost 40$ now

Hola may have been discontinued due to parts shortages
Could you review the kb ear ks10?
how is it compared to chu 2
How if it compare to simgot ew100p? Graph of ew100p and gate on your squiglink looks almost the same
I found the EW100p to be a little more shouty to me. This is probably due to how they fit though, as the EW100p doesn’t fit my ear as well, so it probably sits a little more shallow and affects the response in my ear differently
Do a review of the superlux HD 681F they are great ❤
hows the cable bro? im considering geting this one because of its cable only after a week?
It’s still the same as the Hola cable. Really great all round. I know a few who buy them just for the cable to use on other more expensive IEMs

Gate Vs Tangzu Warn'er?
its up to u , i prefer the truthear gate

What is the nozzle size?

Ola is still better for me. I wish it was not discontinued
