I bought these when they first came out and they surprised me - while my typical use of any IEM is out and about and especially at the gym, I tend to use wired IEMs with a Bluetooth receiver like EarStudio or the FiiO UTWS5 2024, like I did with the Ziigaat Estrella last night, these SoundPeats are pleasant enough that I use them because of their convenience.

The only rig that must be tested in anechoic conditions is the HMS II.3. The KB50XX and KB006X from Gras were tested and 4128c diffuse field is well documented and rather well measured. But the only one that needs to be measured is the HMS II.3. So we could have a more consistent target for Rtings and legacy measurements.

The Porta Pro was originally tuned in 1984. If the wireless version forty years later is really a thing, I’m pretty sure everyone with an opinion needs to kick rocks.

I don't get the love for the Porta Pro....transportable they are, but they cannot isolate at all. So unless I move to the desert or countryside where no traffic, planes, birds, animals or wind exists....

I love the Koss and I'm also a so called audiophile that prioritizes audio quality but when it comes to these I don't mind... they serve their purpose. If you wanna try something less expensive with that old school look and still be able to enjoy podcasts and music without being extremely critical think about buying the Jlab Rewind 2 second generation.

I modded a set of porta pros with a detachable mmcx cable, ksc75 drivers, 3d printed Fibonacci Grill and some yaxi pads. I absolutely adore them, I'd tempted to get a set of these and do the same with another set of ksc75 drivers if there's ever a sale.

I REALLY wish they would have detachable cables on their regular sets. If they did that I could rig a Bluetooth cable on my KPH40.

Hey so this question will be a big deciding factor for me, but what about the UNI 2 version. I will use a wireless version with the usb c pass through dongle so that it can charge. With this, the AUX port is free and would work with the uni 2. Would the external mic feature on the quest 3 allow me to use the mod mic through the AUX port?

the ie200 is the best iem for me.. the cable is not cheap it is made thin for comfortability.. I hate thick cables it is uncomfortable.. For me the best sounding iem is only sennheiser.. I have both hd600 & ie200 paired with my mojo 2 they are amazing.. my ears are onlyfor sennheisers..

I do wonder if the Estrella's sibling the Cincotres would be more up your alley. The bass has a different characteristic, but the treble seems to be less intense.

Foam tips are much better than the stock silicone tips

I also experience cut outs on Ultrasonic, so you're not alone. I use mine in LDAC, so I chalk it up to that, never bothered to try other codecs tho

I’ve been using the Tanchjim ONE dsp for nearly a year now and they are still holding up. All the tuning presets ares great, highly recommend them. they are about $20-30 with USB C cable so direct competiton to moondrop quarks or something

yeah, immediately changed the tips on my Quark2 to fix the pressure issue (and as an excuse to try and buy a pair of the new Tangzu Tang Sancai Narrow Bore meme tips lol)

I feel like Moondrop is becoming the Xiaomi of this space, just pumping up product after product as fast as possible to end up with mix match quality or a disproportion on bang for buck... That said I still enjoy my Chu first gen and liked the nekocake until they got stolen.

Hi there, I have a question, when you have the usb 2 modmic plugged into your quest 3, are you hearing audio from the headset while being able to use the mic, or are you recording with no headset audio? have you used the modmic usb 2 with VRchat or other apps ?

I took a break from editing my EW300 review video to come watch a EW300 review video.

Yall sleeping on jbl endurance run 2's. Via samsung music app it added extra bass. And it made the earphones some of the best ive used. And ive used alot of iems sincw coming into the hobby. I tried tunning them but all of them werent as simple as just adding extra bass. Highs were really good. The bass just helped to tame the highs a bit.
