Hey man very great videos, top notch quality in the description of sound, one quick question, I’ve been looking for a pair of iems to have next to my HD650s, any idea on what to choose? Was looking at the Tin T2s but those are 5 years old by now so idk, any recommendations?
I have the HD650, so this will be fun. To me, the HD650s sound neutral with a bit of a bass boost: essentially a bass boosted HD600. My favorite for this type of sound under $100 is the Tangzu XuanNv at $80. If that’s too expensive, grab the 7Hz Salnotes x Crinacle Zero:2. Similar tuning but MUCH cheaper.
Hi Omar.. ordered this bcoz of your recommendation. It's actually ok. The ew200 seems brighter than this i find the luna a more balnaced set.. I had the sgor adonis b4 but I gave it away as a gift to a friend it was good enough but nothing special though
Hey Omar, I am a detail listener. Which IEM do you feel has more technical details, the finest micro sounds, the magic sparkles? The KZ or SGOR. Thanks bra.
The drivers are very similar in quality, and thus, the detail retrieval is very similar. That said, the tuning on the PR2 makes it easier to point out details. It shoves them right up front and center when compared to the SGOR Luna. Essentially: They both resolve the same details, but they’re easier to notice on the KZ because of the more fatiguing tuning. If you want a true resolution upgrade you’ll have to go for a larger diameter 14mm planar like the Artti T-10 or pick one of the 13mm drivers that has all the new tech behind it like the Letshuoer S08 (dual sided coils, driver surrounds etc.)
Hi! Excellent review! I'm trying to decide if I want to buy it or not so I have a few questions. 1) Did you use any other source other than the dongle it came with (I know a lot of people say that cx31993 leans towards the brighter side) and if you did, was there any noticeable change in the sound signature? 2) a while ago I bought TRN Conch and it came with the same cable Rosefinch comes with but with all of the terminations. Do you think it would be safe to use that cable (specifically with the balanced terminations - 2.5 and 4.4mm) since it is QDC on the Luna?
Hi! Thanks for watching. 1: my sources for review were: included dongle, Sony Xperia X Compact, Apple USB C Dongle, Aptivo CT10 DAP, FiiO K7, FiiO BTR15, Pioneer VSX-LX505, Apple iPod Video 5.5 Gen. I didn’t really notice any super noticeable difference between the sources with the exception of some amplifier noise on the iPod. 2: I own the TRN Conch, I tried the cable from it on the SGOR Luna and it works perfectly! Happy listening!
Could the Luna be EQ'ed close enough to mimic Artti T10 level of "experience/performance" or unlikely from the driver differences? Segways into my this or that dilemma: ~$33-34 for the Luna with dongle included or ~$42 for T10; if I wanted dongle for phone use with T10, that's another extra ~$10 (thinking venture electronics ODO for dongle). For reference upgrading from OG 7Hz Salnotes Zero and my music genres vary but mainly k-pop, EDM, RnB, indie pop and I'd prefer/prioritize female vocals over male. Which is the best pick given these factors?
@@layingwaste I’d say go Luna and give EQ a shot. Planars love EQ and even if you can’t perfectly match the T10, you’ll likely be able to get really close. :)
It was! Then I moved it on the schedule when I changed to Tues/Thurs/Sat schedule. Plus there seemed to be a lot of hype around it so I moved it up. :)
The artii t10 is around the same price as a simgot EA500LM in my area and it never goes on sale, and for that price there's a lot more IEMs to consider so I'll get these for now. Great review! Edit: whoops, I meant ea500lm not em6l but I still feel the same since I just got the sgor luna for $23 and it's not far off from the $100 range (it's $80 here for some reason) so I'd rather save for that.
Love my Sgor Venus and Adonis, was hoping this would be a bassier T10. Guess I'll be waiting to see if new T10 beats the og. Will stick to T10 which I guess got for $30 with promos and coins. I painted them too.
T10 review is coming next week. But the T10 has better sub-bass extension and rumble, while the Luna has slightly more mid-bass punch. I’m anxiously awaiting the new T10 as well.
@@swegmeister1114 sorry about that! The issue is that I don’t really play any competitive games. I’m a flight simulator/truck simulator kinda guy. (i don't have it but) i wish Letshuoer will send you their S12 2024 for review. .. because you deserve it. Recently came to my knowledge that those from Brazil who are purchasing import item(s) over USD50 will need to pay 92% tax. i feel sorry for them.

Infortunately, it's more like 96% because the calculation is a Fng mess to screw us. Under U$50 is around 45% (they plan to do a full tax with any value, to "save" the local industry, who buy bad quality white label and have tax free because under table agreements). The S21 2024, is almost 1 month of minimun wage here, then almost 1 wage for the governament who every week has a new tax proposal, a new benefit for politicians and theyr kind, a lot of corruption and decrapeted public service. One youtuber who sell with Aliexpress links had his incoming from R$60.000 to around R$200 (minimun wage R$1.412) after theyr started tax after tax. 2 year ago was a lotery with high chance of not paying nothing, but sometimes the tax would surpass 120%
Hey Omar, im planning to buy the Sgor Luna and im wondering, since ive read some comments on Reddit that they’re hard to drive, are the included dongle dac on the luna when you purchase the “premium version” good enough to power it and properly utilize the drivers? Do i need to buy a separate dac/amp to power it?
The included dongle DAC works perfect for these. You might have to turn it up a little more than you’re used to. But I had no issues driving these with the included dongle.
@@AudioAmigoReviews thanks, i was debating myself whether to get the luna or the ew200, im fine with both of their sound signatures , and after knowing that they’re very similar in technicalities, im gonna have to go with luna cause the shell looks cooler to me lol
@@Hijynx87 The Timeless AE is my favorite “Classic V-Shaped” planar. It’s just horrible value at the $260 they’re still charging for it. I grabbed it on sale for $160 and it’s really REALLY nice. The tuning is kinda Timeless hahaha. I JUST got my S12 2024 in. Will probably listen to it in the next week or so. Planning on doing an “S12 family buyers guide”
@@AronAddams7 I actually don’t own an original timeless. I’ve been trying to get a used one on sale. Other reviewers seem to agree that it has more bass and slightly smoother treble. It’s a slightly more refined version but wasn’t considered worth the price to upgrade when it came out. If I get an OG timeless in, I’ll do a comparison video.
Thank you for the review Audio Amigo! I've been anxiously waiting for any review of the SGOR Luna for over a week since I saw them on Aliexpress and your unboxing short and you did not disappoint! I think budget planars with EQ (maybe on the DAC) are the way to go on budget sets but I'd like to have a nice shell (T10) and nice stock tuning (KZ PR-whatever). The OG PR2 would've been the way to go if not for all the stealth changes, but the SGOR Luna seems like the perfect replacement!
@@wyndowrfrost I was gonna say something like “This is what the PR2 should be.” But since I haven’t heard the original, I can’t truthfully say something like that. I was pleasantly surprised by this set.
You're really good at this. Appreciate the review. Which set is second from left? (Blue box & golden writing). I'm anticipating The Artti T10 MKII. Looking forward to your review.
Do you think worth to upgrade from a Tin C2, just saw the squig you did and its almost the same sound profile. Never had a planar, and I know it will make some diference, but enough to worth? And I belive I gona need a good DAC...
While I do think the Luna are “better” and “more detailed” than the C2, as you mentioned, the tuning is very similar. While the driver IS better it’s the same “flavor” of sound and I don’t know if you would be satisfied with the difference in quality based on what you spend. I would recommend saving up a bit more and picking up something on the upcoming 11/11 sales. You’ll feel the upgrade a lot more in my opinion.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Thank you, Sir! I realy like the C2, for more quality from a planar, never had a taste, probably will like it. Now will save some money and wait for a good deal.
It honestly depends on how you perceive detail and technicalities. The Zero:Red has 2 DDs and is tuned to be a much more neutral sound signature than the V-shaped Luna. I don’t think it would be a massive upgrade in terms of energy in the upper mids, and it’ll def add a lot of midbass compared to the Zero:Reds. If you want to try a planar; maybe see if you can get a T10 on sale. That has a bit less bass and a smoother upper mids and treble.
@@AudioAmigoReviews I don't think buying the Luna is an upgrade tho, it's just nice to have a different tunning iems to what I'm having right now and I'm definitely going to EQ the bass of Luna to my preferences. But i will consider the T10 now
Hello.. can i isk you? Can sgor luna provide the experience of listening to low frequency accurate positioning of enemy footsteps on game fps? Or can sgor luna the enemy's footsteps be heard accurately? I hope you can understand the meaning of my question. Thanks ✌️
I understand! I played deep rock galactic with them, and I was able to tell from which direction the bugs and other things were coming from, so I think there is enough detail being resolved to make footsteps clear, but I only tested that one game.
The Chu:2 is a great set, and it's a little brighter than the SGOR Luna, but the Luna wins in terms of overall detail and bass quality. As a gift, the fact that you can get it with a USB-C dongle means that your brother or friends can hit the ground running with their phones or other devices.
@@AudioAmigoReviews I got the chu2 with DSP for my wife. Chu2 without tuning with the DSP hurts my ear It was beyond bright =)) but after messing around with the DSP it sounded fantastic, better than KZ ZS10 Pro 2. Hopefully, I will be able to give most of them IEM gifts, Christmas is still months away. So I still have time to save up.
@@CristopherCutas Being able to change the tuning like that is what makes Moondrop DSP IEMs interesting. It comes with costs (losing the tuning if you change cables) but it’s a great way to personalize your sound.
Do you think cca cr+ or zero 2 are too far behind those? Those (other than ie900 which comon its kind of obvious) are the only iems i would in any circunstance once in a while take the ananda out of my head to listen
I have no experience with the CCA CRA+, just the original CRA. All three are pretty close in terms of overall tuning. To my ears, the Zero:2 are a slightly nicer, more detailed version of the CCA CRA, and the SGOR Luna are a slightly more detailed version of the Zero:2. If you wanna try out a planar IEM on the cheap, I’d say go for it. But you might see a more worthwhile upgrade if you spring for the Artti T10.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Ill keep looking for a promo of the t10 then but on my aliexpress price graph it shows the lowest it been was still double the price of the luna, is it that much better? Like the diference from a he400se v2 to an ananda?
@@RaviPires if the Luna is an HE400SE, then the Artti T10 is like a Sundara. If the Luna is half the price of the T-10, it’s the better value of the two. The T-10 is better, but I don’t think it’s twice the price better
I personally prefer the Luna. But I’m biased because I like the sound of the planar driver and the slightly less intense treble. But the EW200 has all metal shells and comes with a carry pouch. If you’re even slightly treble sensitive, grab the Luna, if you want the pouch and the more durable construction, grab the EW200
Great for immersion. Good bass and decent sound isolation. As far as competitive gaming goes, I don’t think it’s bad but I don’t think it’s anything special either. I don’t really play competitive shooters though.
Because the T-10 is the closest competition in terms of sound and price. And the S08 easily beats both in terms of sound. I will review the T10 soon, and I’ll compare it to the S08 in that video.
The ew200 has a fantastically good driver. Really good single DDs are still great. The Artti T10 beats it however, and most Planars in the $76-$200 price range smash most single DD sets.
@@AudioAmigoReviews like u said T10 is not priced at 50$ everywhere .. its sold at 82$ at my place. At that price it faces dioko,s08,melody,kinera etc.. there are dd's and hybrids as well like hexa, aria2 I thought pla 13, pr3 have same quality driver like dioko etc and will match dioko,p20 if well tuned. If they even dont beat ew200 i would skip planar and get hybrid at 70-80$. Seems planar good juice to open up and that would be addon money
@@sudir_ebi yeah, for you it would make more sense to go DD or DD+BA in that price range. The best Planar under $100 at MSRP in my opinion is the Artti T10. Which I think beats most DD/Hybrids in the same price range. All the other Planars have issues with tuning. The NiceHCK F1 Pro is also really good, but if the T10 is $80 where you are, I bet the F1 is even more expensive. At $100 MSRP the S08 is my favorite. Unless you want classic planar tuning. Then the F1 Pro is probably the way to go. The Dioko is quite good, but bright.
@@AchmadBadra I’ve never tried the KZ PR3, so I can’t judge based on sound. But the Luna has a much better cable, and after the shenanigans KZ pulled with the PR2, I would go with the SCOR Luna.

@@boyseverino528 I hope you’re enjoying it. :)
@@AudioAmigoReviews yup I am. No regrets. Thanks
Great review 👍🏾
Pls review KZ KS12 Pro X & INAWAKEN Dawn ms and do compare with this set.
@@tunewavetamil I have the Dawn Ms ordered. So that’ll get a full review once it comes in.
zs12 prox you mean? It's pretty good for $35, id say it competes with the $50-70 sets. ew300 beats it
damn this is a good review
Could the Luna be EQ'ed close enough to mimic Artti T10 level of "experience/performance" or unlikely from the driver differences?
Segways into my this or that dilemma:
~$33-34 for the Luna with dongle included or ~$42 for T10; if I wanted dongle for phone use with T10, that's another extra ~$10 (thinking venture electronics ODO for dongle).
Hey Audio Amigo, Do you like the LUNA over the DUDU?
100% SGOR Luna > Dudu. The Dudu is too shrill, bright, and fatiguing. It’s like they forgot to tune it. The Dudu is rated “Meh” on my rating list.
Yo Nice! I thought this was scheduled on 13th, you were early, not complaining though 😂
It was! Then I moved it on the schedule when I changed to Tues/Thurs/Sat schedule.
Plus there seemed to be a lot of hype around it so I moved it up. :)
@@AudioAmigoReviewsjust one more question, for soundstage, separation, imaging, layering, is artti t10 better than sgor luna?
@@ndjdj7989 yes, the T10 wins in soundstage and all the rest. The Luna is still good, but the T10 has always been amazing for the money.
Thanks for posting this! It’s a big reason why I don’t consider sale prices for my rating/ranking list.
@@AudioAmigoReviews yep, I just got the Luna for $23 so it's not even a question.

@@AudioAmigoReviews Don't forget to compare it to S08 as well.

I'm having the Truthear Zero Red and I want more detail, technical and upper mid but not too much bass so should I go for this ?

@@AudioAmigoReviews thank you so much 🙏✌️
Please do truth review, sgor luna vs cca rhapsody which is better in value, in quality, soundstage, etc?
I don't have any experience with the CCA Rhapsody. I'll try to pick one up for review.
I am planning to give my brother and friends, I was considering chu2. But this might be better. although more expensive.
I compared the chu and zs10 with Undefeated by XG. The background electronic sound movement just feels better with chu2.

Like the diference from a he400se v2 to an ananda?

is that radiator on the back? is it move?
I don't think it's a vent, I just think it's an artistic design. It doesn't move.
My question is which one do you prefer ew 200 or luna?. I can't decide helpppp

How does this fare in gaming both competitive and single-player (immersion-wise)
Great for immersion. Good bass and decent sound isolation. As far as competitive gaming goes, I don’t think it’s bad but I don’t think it’s anything special either. I don’t really play competitive shooters though.
@@AudioAmigoReviews Thanks!
Why compare them with the T10 that you haven't reviewed yet and not the S08?
Because the T-10 is the closest competition in terms of sound and price. And the S08 easily beats both in terms of sound.

@@AudioAmigoReviews Really looking forward to it then.
Simgot ew200 is better than/ same as a planar iem ??? I dont want to buy any planar now...i think i am good with DD
At that price it faces dioko,s08,melody,kinera etc.. there are dd's and hybrids as well like hexa, aria2
I thought pla 13, pr3 have same quality driver like dioko etc and will match dioko,p20 if well tuned.
