I think this was Cleveland Tools dimple die - nice thing about it is that the dimpling process tends to enlarge all holes so if you start out with #40, dimple and then ream to #30, the resulting whole is about 1/8 which it should be …
Every time I watch one of you videos I feel like an idiot. You know so much about so many things, it is truly impressive. Why wouldn't the wing skin leading edge go under the curved nose instead of on top? Seems like air would flow better. Again, I know nothing about aviation.
Very informative video as usual and no doubt will help others with their build. Keep pulling those rivets, soon you will be flying this plane and in utter disbelief how Randy's design is both easy to build and so sweet to fly. FYI, I ended up using airframe ground on my landing lights even though I had 18ga wire as you do. Always good to have more than you need.
It's clear that you dimpled the skin with #40 then upsized to #30. How about the spar? Did you countersink with a #40, then upsize like Josh did, or upsize and then countersink with a #30?
Great video. As always your dedication to detail is amazing.

Thanks!! It truly is an easy airplane to build!
You sound like you’re 100% again. Yay!
Thank you! I have great days, good days and bad days but bad days are far and few between. Definitely the worst is behind me!!
