    Dude, that's a cool piece of art! I just had deep brain surgery, and art is my therapy.....brings back my memory. I'm grateful for the surgeons that were able to save my life.

    Gratitude is a daily experience. I love my life, even the not so great moments, because it just makes the good stuff that much more appreciated.
    "Pig people" and "two stomachs" Lol.
    Thank you for sharing about the acrylic pens. I think I need those in my life because I tend to paint the way I draw. The plus side, too, is that no paint is wasted nor does it end up in the water system, wrecking the water as well as gunking up our pipes (there is a way to separate acrylic paints from water before pouring it down the drain, though).

      I agree, gratitude should be in the front of our minds, even in a struggle.
      I hope you enjoy the pens. They are great and less wasteful.

      @@IllustrationsByPete i've dabbled in drawing for a few years now (came to it late after retirement) and have often thought about getting some acrylic paints; i didn't realise acrylic pens were even a thing until i saw this video. Just got myself a set of acrylic marker pens here in the UK by ANYUKE which are double-ended, one end being a brush, the other more like a felt tip - they're wonderful and ridiculously good value; thanks again for the video

    Someone has a viton mixing your own paint marker refill paint and refilling them. I haven't run out yet, but that sounds great.

    I took the plunge and purchased two sets from the US (the shipping and customs made them quite pricey!) and the colours are just absolutely beautiful. But. But. Of all the brands I've tried (posca, magi, flysea, zibeef, languo etc) these are the only ones I can't use with other acrylics. Something about them just reactivates and turns to goop and lifts off the canvas when layering ANY other acrylic marker or paint on top. Sucks so much! And on canvas they lay sort of.... Like a solid flat goop layer instead of being able to see the texture of the canvas like with any other acrylic marker or paint I've used. I don't understand why they behave so differently :( I have 2 posca colours (beige and green) that want to lift too but the majority of the posca range are fine with layering with other brands.
    Anyways. Lovely artwork! And thank you for sharing this video!

      Thank you! I have not tried to go over them with anything other than ink and I was able to do that without noticing anything but I'm using clay board here so it dries almost instantly. I don't know if you've ever used it before but it sucks the moisture right out of any medium you put on it. . That is very interesting. Thank you for the info.

      @@IllustrationsByPete I tried to do it the other way around today where I went over a posca section with some tooli, when using a small brush to spread the extra tooli ink that had come out, it reacted with the posca and the posca wanted to lift, I tried another brand over the posca and it was fine, as well as acrylic paint from a tube, all fine. Very odd! Must be something different in the tooli formula. I think with a clay board maybe I'd have better luck, I'll try that! Thank you!

      It's almost like there is some type of solvent in it. I wonder if these are oil based acrylic paint markers and not water based. Thanks for the update. 👍🏻

    The paint is lightfast so that you can leave it outdoors in the sun without worrying about them fadin

    • @IllustrationsByPete
      @IllustrationsByPete  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would definitely not leave any artwork in the sun. All of it will eventually fade. Light-fast ratings are based on museum conditions. Even the best light-fast ratings that are rated for 100 yrs would not last 100 yrs when hung up on a wall in a brightly lit room with a lot of sun coming in through the windows. Maybe 70 yrs but not the full 100 designated by the testing.
