mate (i’m american but felt that greet was appropriate), you’ve easily become my favorite MPC content producer. thanks for what you do. your knowledge is vast. sharing it with us is a gift.
Mate, there is 100% something in there for the vast majority of people that will ever view this. Very useful - don’t ever doubt your value to the music world, we appreciate you.
Had no idea they released the multiband filter bank, and for free for a short period of time. Ended up getting it for free at the very last minute thanks to one of your videos and man o man what a fantastic plugin! Its like a way more musical EQ. I see myself using this a LOT!
Wow! Nice use of the new plugin 🔥 I was able to get it for free and I said I'll figure it out in time but man these videos on multiband filterbank have helped immensely.
Your point around the 8m mark is a valuable one - if you apply this plugin after some subtle use of Flavor Pro you can get some nice enhancements to that gritty edge no doubt.
I’ve been kinda busy with work and life the past few days but just started playing with it now after being inspired by your couple videos on it, and it hit home when you mentioned Saturn, it does have a bit of a dimensional additive effect similar to the feel of that - haven’t used that for a few years, only had a naughty version for a few years but not many plugins give life to such a range of sounds as that. Softubes Harmonics Analog Saturation Processor has been my baby the last few years but I can see this one being similarly valuable if used right.
As you saturate the signal you lift the mean value and limit the peaks, I think this is what you see in the meter and hear as more loudness. Saturation is somehow similar to a limiter with very fast attack and decay.
I've used it as return effect so I can play with it by spicing out tracks in a more subtle way, I wish there was a pre fader option for the sends to allow more control of this. Great video, waiting for a mixing session with filterbank (maybe on subgroups? ie vocals, drums, guitars, etc... it makes the mix sound much better!) cheers
I’ve been holding off watching this one as I’m yet to test the plugin. I’m struggling to find the motivation to pick up my MPC recently, which is shame as I’ve got several new plugins! Great content as usual, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts 😎
Well, seems like AIR is coming up with some very useful new plugins finally. I still hope for a Moog Modular since Moog is a part of the InMusic brand. Would be so crazy with the touch interface a no brainer
It sounds great. Thanks for making these videos. I’m keen to try it, yet still trying to figure out how to get the plugin to appear in the activations list on my MPC X. There’s a Mac/PC download in my InMusic account for the vst, just nothing on the MPC.
@@TheCratesMotelActually it was user error. I just needed to refresh the plugin list! Anyway, yes, it is a pretty amazing plugin. I’ve been mixing on a Yamaha MGP16X mixer for a few years, which has eq modelled on classic valve gear (same curve as a Pultec), with one knob compression. I love the sound of it, but this is the first MPC plugin I’ve used that I feel gives me as much warmth as I get from that mixer. Thanks for sharing your use with it, highlighting how good it really sounds.
Lol on that solo button, I've been using a stylus with this plugin and mpc 3.0 in general. Unless you're hovering directly over it or have tiny hands, its a pain in the ass to adjust with the touch screen
They actually sneaked a spectrum analyzer into the mpc! I wish it was a little better, but I am not sure if the hardware (screen) allows for that, so I decided to be happy with it :)

Hey mate. It's fairly normal for us to go through periods of not being creative. Something will spark you off again and you'll be back on those beats.
Thanks. Enjoying the content and your experience.
Thanks for watching mate.

Ahhh man, that would be amazing
Hello community! Does the plug in only work with MPC 3?
No, I’m still using the 2.15 version and it’s working just fine for me.
@ Thank You!

I had that for over 24 hours and then it just appeared on my MPC. Just keep trying mate.

@ I’m glad you got it sorted mate
Awesome tips man! In track FX, would you recommend running the Filterbank pre or post Para EQ (if surgical EQ'ing needs to be done to the sample)?
There’s no rule, but generally surgical EQ should be done first.

Yeh, It's not the best analyzer, but it's a start I guess haha
Like Mutronics or the Sherman?
A bit like Mutronics I guess. Not as good obviously.
shout out to Ultra Magnetic MCs. 😉 i paid about £6 for The Grunt 7" in the late 80s (as used public enemy for an entire album)
Yeh man, on King Records.
@@TheCratesMotel i dont have it anymore but i still got both those James Browns funky people albums with lyn collins, maceo etc.
You working too hard bringing us these wonderful tutorials, you need a BREAK ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Sorry.
Hahaha I always need a BREAK!!!
