    I’m not only in awe of this entire video, but also moved by the support I see reflected in so many comments! I think your many supporters have said it better than I could, so I’ll just leave it right there. The upside I see, however, is that maybe by you feeling a little pressured to share this technique prematurely, it actually gave us all a front row seat in your laboratory, allowing us to watch the mad scientist at work, as it were. I learned so much more from watching a failed experiment and your thought process in moving forward, than I would have learned from a flawless process!! Thank you for allowing us to hitchhike on this journey of discovery - tired, frustrated, but tenacious and determined - because that’s raw and genuine and REAL, and it proves that we’re ALL doing the best we can do at any moment! Thank you, you’re the Best!

I started pouring and fluid art 4 months ago and it's a real passion . many people said me that it does not represent anything and that's not paint ......i just stopped to show what i carried out , but i was disappointed . I'm a beginner who had never tried pouring (yet!) and I'm so happy to see an artist posting their experiments, especially the failed ones! It's hard to be motivated to keep going when you only see perfection in tutorials and your try is a hot mess. You are one of the incredibly supportive artists on YT who ALWAYS share their knowledge! And you do so in a genuinely caring way....you give from your heart! NO ONE has the right to DEMAND anything from you or any artist here, especially in a RUDE manner!! They are NOT ENTITLED! Art is not like learning to tie your shoes! It takes passion, time, commitment, and persistence to pursue ANY type of art form! Like most forms of art, flow-painting requires learning the materials....understanding the many brands of paints and pouring mediums and the chemistry of each combination! If an artist, like you, CHOOSES to share their knowledge and goes to the incredibly time-consuming work of creating videos, then people should be GRATEFUL! Don't pay any attention to the entitled-twits! (Sorry for ranting!)
    Heather, thank you for everything you do to teach us (including encouraging people to learn their materials) and for supporting other artists. I've learned a great deal from you. I look forward to every one of your videos.
    Take care of yourself, Heather. Lots of us are praying for you.

      Amen and Amen.
      Your choice as to sharing techniques completely or not. Although you are wonderful teacher and enjoy it so, you are a great editor. You are truely blessed. Stay grounded and stay steadfast in JESUS NAME.
      So that being said...Please don't let the enemy push or bully you around, no matter how demanding, remember that's his/her nature. Lie, steal, and destroy. It's obvious enemy is nothing by itself, hating all.
      So-K💖🌺

      Cheryl Walrath-Duran Right on. One of my twitter followers asked me if one of my paintings was “one of those dirty pours” he had seen at some festival and I just told him “there are about as many pours as their artists doing the paint pouring techniques.” He wasn’t an artist and not interested in learning my technique, it felt like he was trying to minimize my art and I was having none of it.

    • @HeatherMaderArt
      @HeatherMaderArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SouthernArtist77 yes, a lady who is part of the Art Guild here in Portland, I shared some of my work with her. She loved it at first, and then stopped short and said, "Wait is this one of those paintings from a cup?" and then she turned her nose up and has never been interested again. Its funny how this is perceived as a craft, when so much science and passion goes into it. I feel its DEFINITELY art and certainly deserves its place in the art community...right along masters who use brushes and oil paints. But of course, I am biased. lol

    • @cherylwalrath-duran2996
      @cherylwalrath-duran2996 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks, Sherri. I was hopping-mad and had to speak up, even though I know that no matter what any of us say, it will fly right over the heads of the entitled-twits and nay-sayers. I'm sorry you had that experience, Sherri. Your answer was very well stated. So many people simply don't think before they speak. It's their right to not like a type of art, but there's no reason to be rude or disrespectful to the artist or to the people who do like that type of art.
      The truth is that ART doesn't have to touch everyone's heart.....it only has to touch the heart of ONE person. That, alone, makes it valid and worthwhile. (Just my opinion)

    I usually never comment on these videos but I'd like to say a couple of things: First of all, thanks for sharing, second, (and it is only my advice), do not EVER feel pressured to share any technique with anybody, especially not if it is "demanded" or requested in a rude manner from you. This is your creativity, it is your time, your investment. Others can do the same. (I mean, I am happy you share them, I can definitely learn from you but I would never dare to demand you do so).
    To finish up my "rant": Many people have a Patreon page where you can access (as a Patron) detailed videos, like this one for example, while they leave youtube to show the process (without any explanation or details on the steps). They could be followed on YT but for the details they would have to go to Patreon. I find it only fair that you get rewarded for your time, vision, investment and will to teach others.
    Amirite?

      @HeatherMaderArt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Yes - I've thought about Patreon and have considered doing something like that....I do want to teach, and being on a limited budget myself, I understand that not everyone has the ability to pay for teaching. thank you for your support.

    Love your explanation, it makes sense. I'm glad I'm taking this journey with you. Even though the piece was being a pain, it ended being beautiful. 😝 To grumpy people. 😁 Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

    Ignore the rude, pushy, poopy people, Heather. They are showing their greedy guts and it's SO unattractive. Focus on those of us who appreciate you and soon enough the others will just drop away from your life :-) Thank you for putting in the work to discover and generously share your talents and techniques.

    Heather, please ignore the people who are demanding anything of you. Responding to them in any way may encourage them to continue acting like spoiled, entitled, selfish children. I love your little golden creatures. They have tails so to me they are alive, like the tadpoles of a fairytale frog in a forest pool. Thank you for sharing your magic with us. Hope you’re feeling 100% again soon.

    I'm sorry people are such jerks. You are not obligated to share anything, the fact that you do is generous and thank you. Just keep doing you and forget about the meanies.

    Sweetheart I don't understand why people give a thumbs down if you don't like something then just get over it you don't have to have a thumbs down or a thumbs up I know I got a little bent out of shape if I get a thumbs down it's like okay what did I do wrong but it's just taste I really like how you keep going when you don't like something I do the same thing and some of my videos I'd like crazy anyways thank you so much for sharing.

    I’m sorry Heather. Some people are just rude expecting all your hard work to be handed over at all let alone immediately. I’m sure you know that the majority of us value your talent, your teachings and are grateful for all your help. Xx

    Thanks for doing this in spite of how you feel..
    It is glorious..
    I sure hope you can recreate this over and over...
    Also.. I feel sometimes you do not have to share your techniques..
    Something can be truly yours alone..
    Art is individual and original..
    People should not “demand” that you share..

    Thank you so much for sharing this technique with us. I'm anxious for the specific recipe for the paints, however I know you need to perfect the paints and thickness and such so I will patiently wait for your announcement saying Bi jov I think I've done it!... LOL. thanks so much.

    Thank you for your videos Heather. I don't think that there is any reason that you should feel compelled to teach any particular technique and believe that if you choose to do so it is a reflection of your generosity spirit.

    Last night I couldn’t sleep because of a very, painful tooth ache,, and I found your studio tour video,, and WOW, you have an incredible studio. So lucky you are!
    My suggestion would be to not put the little curved spikes coming out of the gold pillows, as then they looked like bugs to me.
    Beautiful golden bugs, though!

      well if you can see...the new paintings did not have the "spikes"

      Sorry, Heather, as I said, I didn’t sleep last night, so my comment was made before your painting was finished, and I when saw the beginning. I hope you are feeling okay soon. Much love 🥰🌹
