      You will love it. Fusion Pro is still highly recommended today.

    This is my 2nd Hobbywing product and first Fusion system. I didn't even think about the simplicity of installation.
    Nice video showing the low speed control. I look forward to many trails with the Fusion Pro.

      My first Fusion system as well. This kv version released timely for me as I looked forward to swapping out my Mamba X.

      Do so! I forgot to mention how heavy this truck is too. This thing is wayyy on the heavier side.

    Watching this in 2023!!!Hello from the Philippines, I also installed a fusion pro on my HPI venture,what's the motor rotation on your program card?mine is set to CCW, because if you set it to CW the wheels turn reverse. I heard that motor rotation depends on what type of rig you're running?thanks

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply bro! I meant to reply the other day and forgot about it. I don't remember what the motor rotation is set at, but if it's backwards when you installed it, then I assume mine is also reversed/counterclockwise. And you are correct and depending on what rig you put the motor in.

    hey i like how it crawls, I have a question to your suspension. This are the RSD Piggyback 100mm or 90mm ? why your car are so low? I have the 100mm on my Toyota 4runner and he is high like a bus

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are the 100mm. It sits low because I swapped in Axial soft springs all around. Nearly full droop in front and semi droop in the rear. Not good for scale trail suspension dampening but better for crawling.

    What are the shoks on that rig? Looks really cool man

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The shocks are Gmade RSD 100mm piggybacks. Even though the piggybacks are functional, I was mainly going for that look.

    • @albertduckett8591
      @albertduckett8591 ปีที่แล้ว

      @cocoAE86 would you recommend or should I get more functional ones?

    • @albertduckett8591
      @albertduckett8591 ปีที่แล้ว

      And could I get the xd shocks or are they more for speed?

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@albertduckett8591 So I put the shock oil it came with in them first, way too thin. I then went really thick (I think the one of the thickest in the Team Losi shock oil pack) and that brought it to a smooth enough dampening rate. As an overall shock, I would recommend because they do look great. I've put these shocks in numerous hikes and yes they're gonna leak, but overall I love them.

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@albertduckett8591 The XD shocks are actually scaled larger so they are more for the 1/8 1/6 sized rigs like the bashers or even short course.

    What made you choose the hpi crawler over the rest of the crawlers ?? I’ve been looking at 1/10 crawlers👍🏿

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wasn't in the RC game yet and I'm a fan of the FJ Cruiser, and Toyota in general. So the HPI Venture was what introduced me into the crawler scene.

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@r.a.wrcfootage5511 I love it! I didn't do much research into the crawlers when I bought it and I was in it for the fact that it was a licensed FJ Cruiser body. But the smoothness of the crawling is all thanks to the HW Fusion Pro. So whatever rig you go with, I highly recommend this 2-n-1 motor ESC combo so you can crawl the same.

    I’m looking into a brushless set up for my Hpi venture but unsure on which KV to buy. What’s the top speed like? Is it too fast?

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So this Venture has all the stock gearing including the 16t pinion. With the 2300kv in my opinion it's on the faster side but barely. Like if 5/10 was the middle of the scale between too slow and too fast for crawling, this is a 5.5/10. This rig is mostly for the trail and at 2300kv it's perfect, for me.

    I'd like to replace the 3300kv Axe system in my Gatekeeper with one of those. Love the amount of power and control the Axe has but there's zero room ever since I switched it to a 4-link in the front. Probably just go back to the HH brushed system that was in it till I can sell the Axe or trade for one maybe (not sure just yet) I love how smooth those Fusions are. Good vid.

    • @cocoAE86
      @cocoAE86  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ask yourself if you want this ability of super slowness, or the punch availability of the AXE? I don't demonstrate the punch this Fusion Pro has as I strictly only scale crawl, but from what I hear the punch is more apparent than the first Fusions. I doubt it's anything close to the AXE system though.

    How do you find hpi venture today?
    Still worth buying? Parts availability still good or some bits are unobtainable?
    Aftermarket parts for modding require lot of searching or is it acceptable? Are the prices for aftermarket options acceptable and comparable to more popular models?
    Any other pointers from a long time user?
    thanks a lot

      I very much enjoy it because it is what got me into the hobby today so it was my very first crawler/trail truck, but I also drive a FJ which is what made me buy this.
      I wouldn't buy it today when compared to today's market, but still you can buy majority of the replacement parts.
      Aftermarket parts were becoming scarce last year, so I imagine today is even more harder to find the good stuff. But the pricing for those were roughly the same at the time. Because this was my first vehicle in this hobby, nearly every plastic part got replaced with metal.
      If one were looking to buy specifically a FJ Cruiser RC, I would probably recommend the Yikong or RGT versions just because they still make those ones today.
