Very cool!! Thanks so much for posting this, Rick. I had a chance to stand on the stage about 15 years ago. Kinda wandered in when some renovations were taking place and figured I'd go as far as I could before someone tossed me out. No one did, so I stood there and soaked it in for a while. I was happy just with that. This look is really cool.
Wow, What an insightful video. It must have felt surreal walking the same steps that Elvis did over 50 years ago. Great to see there are still a few original features left. Theres a video here on TH-cam of him in a blue outfit walking past a Cafeteria along a corridor and waving to the staff within. I've always wondered where in the Hotel it was, and if it's still there. Thanks so much for sharing.
Spent a good deal of time in that area with a top tribute artist over several years and it's just one of those hallowed places that I hope will be around for a long time. (The paint, curtains, and photos on the wall are all fairly new compared to the last time were there 2014). The green room is no longer paneled but is still configured as it was during the after party.
If you watch the video "Shawn Klush Backstage on stage las vegas 2014" there are TWO elevators used that Elvis used as well. One is the stage elevator with the silver trim, the other is a freight elevator with stainless steel walls. We also walk through the back halls as seen in the Turner video where he's wearing the blue outfit (with "Sylvia" playing over the film). The windows to the cafeteria no longer exist, but the red tiles and the duct work is as it was in the 70's.
Love this video! I have been to the Westgate once, and tried to get into the showroom just to see it, but it was locked up. Thank you for taking me inside!!
Thanks! I appreciate you watching. I try to put stuff up that’s interesting and that people will enjoy watching. It’s fun to share stuff with fellow fans and hopefully we all learn something along the way. Thanks again for watching. More videos to come!
Riichard, great video. Question. Do you know what happened to the iconic cafeteria windows that Elvis strolled by en-route to the stage or dressing room? Have they been covered over? It was a big part of This is Elvis and thought you may know. Keep up the GREAT work! Liam
Fascinating video Richard I was glued to this love seeing what Elvis saw seriously really cool to watch this. I have one quick question about the Green Room if I may, I saw a video a while back you were with the Spa Guy and you all went into what was thought to be the Green Room which looked to be further down the hallway. In this video it seems closer to Elvis s dressing room could you please clear up the mystery. Thanks again for this and all of your content.... Best wishes from the UK.
Yes. The hotel is open 24/7. You can go into the showroom most times. If it’s locked ask security and sometimes they will let you in unless a rehearsal is going on. They are very friendly most times and will let you in.
Man them days are never coming back, puts a lump in my throat, what a legend.
Luv the show.
So interesting

You’re quite welcome. It was a lot of fun.
Great post!! Thanks for sharing!! I believe Elvis started using the 2001 Space Odyssey theme in 1971… Amazing pics!!

Thanks for watching. I’m glad you liked it.
Great video. Can you record the path Elvis would take from the penthouse to the dressing room? I have always been curious about that.
Thank you I loved this video 👌🏼👌🏼👏🏻👏🏻. I recently found your channel and I really enjoy your content so much 🥰

Love this video. I think you should definitely do more on location shoots 🥰
I’ve been messing around with the iMovie app a little more and it’s made it more appealing….so I agree! I will be doing that!
Great presentation 👏.
No funky angels 😯 ?
Long gone!

That’s the same room in both videos. It has big wide double doors.
@@TheElvisWorkshop Thanks buddy all makes sense now.
That looks so junked up. Sad. Good video.
Do you work at the Westgate? I've seen you in Spa Guy videos in Vegas and Michigan.
No, I don’t work at the Westgate.
Great video , how did you get access?
One of the best tricks is to just act like you’re supposed to be there!
Spa Guy does that too. If you look like you are supposed to be there, most people will leave you alone.@@TheElvisWorkshop
hi richard, i'm stefano from Italy.I had a question, if i would come to las vegas in this hotel, is it possible to enter as you did?
Yes. The hotel is open 24/7. You can go into the showroom most times. If it’s locked ask security and sometimes they will let you in unless a rehearsal is going on. They are very friendly most times and will let you in.
