Does the gen5 require cutting the passenger side heater hose and changing the factory heater hose fittings on the block? Are the fuel rails Whipple only? Will Fore fuel rails work?
Keep an eye on that O-ring that Y piece you could’ve cracked it. My buddy did it to his car While boosting it and ended up having to buy a aluminum one because it leaked so bad. And if it is cracked it’ll be most likely be the bottom right connector because it’s plastic on metal. If it is cracked you will most like not see it because It could be on the backside

I recommend taking it to a shop and having them check everything. I installed an Edelbrock on my 5.0 and the belt had too much slack and ended up fouling my plugs out, not to mention it ran like crap. Enjoy the power!

Not really since he’s doing OPGs and CS. Plus, he’s not gonna be running too much boost. As long as he stays between 650-700whp, he should be fine. Things start getting sketchy for gen1s around 720-730whp.

I have a 16’ gt with 62k miles and am wanting to supercharge it. Will have around 70k miles by the time I get the $ together, so I was curious how many miles your car had, and what your thoughts are in putting a supercharger on a coyote with 50k+ miles
Dude dont worry about miles these things are tough just get the proper supporting mods and use the best fuel you can and get a good tune from a reputable tuner and youll be fine. As long as the car has been and continues to be well maintained you shouldnt have any issues. Any issues that could happen could also happen with a 5000 mile car...in other words dont worry about miles but rather moreso about how the car has been kept and how you continue to keep it. You will wanna be just a little more diligent with oil changes and other stuff like that than you normally would be na but that is kind of a given. I say send her man and take care of it and enjoy it!!!
I snapped the same coolant drain plug inside of it just like that on my 13 gt I just left mine inside 😂 since it doesn’t leak and just flushed the system
The Y thermostat connection are the worst design. I had problem with it leaking when i installed my paxton. Almost there man. Cannot wait to see u do a 2 gear pull
Hey man great work! One suggestion, use green anti freeze for the supercharger heat exchanger. That way if there is a leak you kno whwich system is leaking and saves time troubleshooting.
@@kapss0832 the Gen2r and gen3r are. My boss has been supercharged for 25K miles without a hiccup and I know a few other daily drivers of VMP blowers that switched to VMP from whipple for breaking down. Whipple will make big power but you really need forged rods at a minimum.

The IAT connector, is it plastic or brass? What is the MSD for? Why or what is the purpose for the line from the back of the car to the front?
