Thank you Eta prime! Mine is only Y700 2022 version, yet still a decent gaming tablet. 40mins 100% charging time for 5 to 7 hours of gaming. Excellent performance for heavy android games. Value for money.
Great to see more 8 inch tablets as iPad Mini alternatives. Would be good to see if this has a keyboard accessory to be a true travel companion: Gaming, Media, basic email/ Google docs w/keyboard.
What a coincidence. I was just searching for this exact tablet on AE yesterday lol. It's so cheap for the specs it has, especially with the discount code. Like 300 shipped isn't bad at all
I just got this. And so far it's awesome! There's no competition in the us market for a small powerful android tablet. Not a fan of Lenovo's software but it didn't take much to get it where i wanted it.
that's device is so powerful for 1 game to test. i normally play 2 games at 1 device like 2 mir4 or 2 A3 still alive at the same time at max fps and med. res... hope the Legion Y700 can do too...
I snagged one of these about a month ago a hoooooo boy is it an emulation monster. I highly recommend pairing it the Gamesir G8. Full disclosure, you'll have to do a fairly simple mod to the controller to get it to fit and there is a trick to get the Y700 (2023) to recognize and power it, but all-in-all it's a small hassle for a much better gaming experience!
From what I can see, in the UK this looks to be called the Legion Tab and at present, the 12/256 model ( no other listed) is £499, or £525 with a folio. I would want a Gen2 SOC for these prices and I would not personally purchase any new product today that did not support AV1 decoding. Even at £399 I would call it a stretch, considering that the Odin 2 with the Gen2 is cheaper and more powerful, despite having 2,2" less screen area.
Well the Ali keeps selling the Chinese ROM for sub 300 and that way it's actually a decent value, u can get their version of global ROM which is OK or flash is on your own, with that caviot China is the way to go here

I bought a Xiaomi Pad 6 and configured with 8GB memory and 256GB storage. Satisfied with the performance and 11 inch is somewhat bulky. I wish this thing existed before i bought that instead
I've had mine for a few months, coupled with a modified GameSir G8 Galileo, It's the dogs bollocks for emulation and Streaming, perfect screen size and controls.
After seeing this video I just might get one. But then there's 2024 version. Would you recommend getting that one instead? Do you plan on doing a review of the 2024 version? Or maybe a comparison between the 2?

Hey there, I would like to hear some coverage about tablets for RAW photo editing. It would be nice to travel without a laptop, but I do a lot of photography (with a "real" camera) when I travel. Snapseed doesn't support the RAW file type from my Olympus camera, at least not on Android.
Hi,im searching for a compact tablet to be used on the go,mainly to edit videos on insta360 app. Does this tab support insta360 app and can i ask your favor to test insta360 app performance on this tab? Thank you so much
You can slightly mod the bsp d8 to fit in a 11" tablet, or buy the new bsp d9 which can do it out of the box. I don't know why not more telescopic controller can do this tho, seems like a missed opportunity.
I'd rather have the Tab S9. This is only the best if a small size and lower price are paramount. If those two considerations are not super important to you then you absolutely made the right choice getting a Galaxy.
@@clankmon @mattdavis9601 I probably would have gone with the y700, just cause thats the size id prefer, but the tab s9 is amazing and i think im just gonna get the smaller one down the road for traveling. Plus the OLED display on the s9 is gorgeous.
I'm in the market for a tablet. Never had one, having trouble deciding on form factor (8"vs11"). The problem seemed to be nothing competing with the iPad mini 6 in the 8" space but this seems like it does the trick. I like that it has way more storage in the base model and being a newer release should mean longer support/updates. Im currently testing the samsung a9+ and have a A9 coming tonight (budget 11"& 8" options) but I wish I could get my hands on the y700 locally here in Toronto Canada to compare what a budget tablet vs a gaming tablet is like. Anyone have any idea when this device might be coming to North America, my return windows are limited here lol
Given how the first benchmark I found for the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra puts it at above half the performance of the iPad Pro, I’d say that if it gets an M2 it’ll shred this thing apart. Then again prices might reflect the performance.
I wish you'd zoomed in the Camera more into the screen. I don't know why you think we want to look at a plant and white space? I mean 90% of the footage is white space.
I've got the 2022 version and the Legion gaming app and overlays are in Chinese. Does the new 2023 version have english native in those apps or are they still in Chinese? Just wondering if there is possibly a newer global ROM that the 2022 versions can be flashed to so English is native on all Legion apps? I did pick up a Legion Go but still a bit heavier than the Y700.

its actually Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 not SD 8gen 1,and its good for emulation coz no thermal throttling issue on SD8+gen 1 no more than SD 8gen1.
