He in fact created the beat by beatboxing it and also composed this song. He’s a true genius and this video was actually about him finding out that his girl that he was in love with is actually not who he thought she was. He found out that she was a call girl (why there were different name cards which he found). He realized she was cheating on him with multiple men due to her “job”. He was devastated and left her. She quit her job but realized too late that she only wanted Mike cuz he had already left. So she had no choice but to go back to her “pimps”.

Same with btw Invincible, he was forced to make a video for You rock my world, though he wanted Unbreakable with a massive music video. Sony didn't let him do it. As I've read somewhere he had insane ideas for that music video (in a good sense, of course -MJs insanity was always highly entertaining and original)
