we take a look at Haydens Holden VE SS ute! A highly modified street weapon ute! this thing has a Magnuson Supercharger, Full Exhaust System, Race Cam, & Tune!! just to cover the basics... what that gives you is nearly double the HP from factory with 608RWHP or 435RWKW!!!!

Sounds amazing but I was expecting a slightly quicker 0 - 100
Probably loss of traction causing that as U see in the video bc it's so light in the ass end
And as much as you want to snap second those gearboxes just don't like it so ya pretty much can't. On revs that car would be quick AF 👌😁
@@murdy2187 pretty much, we just bounced up the hill, didn't get full traction until about 80. Plus I wasn't keen on frying the clutch on takeoff lol
Likewise, I've got a 08 ssv with otr, exhaust good tune and suspension. Flat shift 1 to 2 and can easily hit a 5.01 time and time again.
Traction control definitely needs to be turned off though.
@@D_J_G88 Still 2 tenths slower than a bone stock 08 xr6 turbo that does 4.8s all day.

Bloody sick car this definitely deserves a trip to Mexico for some 80 to 140 and 100 to 200 pulls this thing would be a beast on the open Mexican highways.

Ross reviews do u think a 2004 equivalent to vz with 60k kms is desirable going forward. The poor old statesman which probably is comparable performance wise and comfort wise to a bmw for a quarter of the price gets no attention.

I reckon the Ute would be like 4 seconds 0-100 without the wheelspin while changing gears
oh it would be ballistic if it could hook up! was SCARY FAST
the wheelspin will always be there. main reason i lost time was not wanting to burn the clutch. if you watch the tacho, i'm babying it for the first 2 seconds until it gets going. then the needle goes straight to redline
Most of the time it will, you just need to have traction control on and remember to build the revs as well as he in the perfect condition
@@videomaker8207 actually traction control was on, you need it off for full power, otherwise the computer cuts it. having the diff and clutch looked at next week, will give it another belt once repairs complete

Ross whens you mom going to do another review, i just loved the way she handled a stick shift, i find younger women today cant drive a stick shift, i love seeing a real woman that knows how to handle a stick shift

@@mitchell5064 true, never had problems, next upgrade will be the brakes followed by an NPC triple plate clutch
Stock bottom end in an L98 is actually good for about 800. Because the rods and pistons were built to handle the high torque from factory
Should I cam or supercharge my stock LS I’m unsure what’s safer for the car
i did both, don't worry a v8 can easily handle it
@@ighfee I an up to the Diffs now, I am consdering just going straight into the charger - Max power 600HP is all i want.
@@Aaron-fj1hl take it to a performance mods shop, they'll give you all the options and prices
@@Aaron-fj1hl you'll most likely need a race clutch, 600 is more than the stock clutch will take, diff should be ok

Says it in the video but 3" hurricanes, extractors, 2.3L Magnusson blower, running 10lb, race cam, now has Harrop brakes with Koya wheels

0-100 wasn't really an accurate time in my opinion
it was a very rough time i know
Owner here,ok a few things, first the whole setup wasn't really about 0-100, more to overtake road trains ie 80-160, plus it's a ute with zero weight in the back. I did another one with my nephew a few months back and you just cannot get the wheels to grip in first, the thing just smokes and redlines while the speedo says 60 or something. As Johnny says, if it had 305s at the back and weighed down with concrete bags maybe, but 1st and 2nd gear forget it. That thing wheels spins 1st 2nd and 3rd past 100 before it gains full traction.

Hi mate, they are 20" PDWs, and they're for sale. I changed the brakes and had to also change the wheels
