I love splitting fire wood. I see you use your splitter vertical i change mine using the splitter horizontally now. It saves my back. i pick log up and split the wood but i have a wheel borrow and toss pieces in there. saves me from bent way over to pick them up. I mean you will have to stand but saves my back sitting there. great work and great idea saving all the bark for the gardens. I have made Hugelkultur above ground garden beds with all the debris keep up with the great work.
I have never used it horizontally. I may have to try it that way & see how I like it. I line mine up so I can just roll it into place. It’s a lot of work but it’s something that has to be done. Homestead work is never done! 😫
Well you go girl. Look at you work all that equipment. I love working the tractor..
Love how you get out there & split firewood when it needs to be done! Homestead work is never done! Way to go on recycling the bark as compost
Splitting is no fun but really don’t have a choice…it’s part of working the homestead! Good job!
