@@chamanorel I actually ordered the acer one, before this review. But after some research it turns out the color space is smaller than many ips models (98% sRGB, so the less colourful look in the review)
Also realised I couldn't stand the ips glow so I cancelled the order and thinking of a good color space VA curved panel (no glow, deep blacks). Finalised on the mag241c (118% sRGB). You have any suggestions? Coz I can't decide over ips and va.
@@shrivignesh5705 va is kinda the middle of tn and ips. However gaming still isn't recommended over the va panels. But, imo it depends on your usage. If you want really competitive gaming which is mostly fps, get a tn panel. If you want slightly better colors and viewing angles with similar to tn panel refresh rates, then it is va. But if you want really good colors, viewing angles, play mmorpg type games and can compromise on response time by a few ms , which shouldn't be greater than 10, get an ips. I decided to go for an ips, msi g241 because I play a mix of games and viewing other content.
Also between acer and msi, after seeing this review as well, I went with msi. Usually msi is about 1k or more expensive than the acer. Luckily I got the msi at Rs16,960 while acer was at Rs16,999

They both use the Panda 144hz IPS panel, which is well known to be the best budget 144hz IPS panel. Some other monitors that also use the Panda 144hz IPS are the Pixio PX248 and the ViewSonic XG2405. They're all similarly priced ($10-20 difference between them all), and they all perform very similar due to them using the exact same panel. I just chose the MSI because I think it looks nicer and it's always good to purchase from a well-known computer/peripheral brand. All of them will serve you well though.

Just want to clear the yellow tint doubt, i bought this monitor on 12th dec and it had a manufacturing month of november. Monitor has no yellow tint at all. SO i can say that the monitors manufactured in novemeber and after will not have any yellow tint. Pefect panel , no problem at all.

I already have an alienware 2720hfa 240hz monitor but I needed a second one. Why I chose the acer? Easy. I got it for 80 euros in europe second hand with 2 years warranty xD I tried the msi one as well. They are both the same. The msi one has an adjustable height like my alienware and I can see that people would prefer that. That's very nice. But since I am a software developer and a immo 3 val gamer, I just needed a second mediocre monitor for development since I switched from laptop to PC.

It really depends on your budget, both the monitors are good in producing colours. Acer vg240yp is a pretty good deal in 13-14k. Go for MSI only if you want that extra colour accuracy. Also, the yellow tint issue isn't even visible that much and doesn't cause any problem.

hi there between these 2 monitors which has a lighter matte coating with less grainy appearance when you view white background web pages? you didn't touch on this and it was very important that you did.
I'm building pc to run heavy softwares so I'm going with 3060 ti but taking 60hz ips monitor is kinda disappointing bcoz i cannot experience full potential of gpu. So I'm looking for options with IPS display ( for precise colour grading ) and good refresh rate. Should I go with these options ? ( As I want both things to be good )

@@AyushGarg82 Appearance and Dimensions are same , , 240YP doesn't have Speakers and comes with HDMI cable and YP is 144 hz with 1ms response. but 240YS comes with DP cable and support 165 hz + 0.5 ms response time. also you didn't get more then 120 hz with HDMI cable so you have to buy a DP cable which will cost you 500rs more. so it's better to buy 240 YS
Both are 23.8 inch monitor but sometimes it is hard to watch movies or web-series with Headfones . so I use Inbuilt speaker. Sound Quality is good if you sit approx 2-3 meters away from monitor.
