      It's so good and this routine is perfect for oily skin AND dry skin. Sometimes we think we need lots of heavy creams to fix dry skin but lots of times just layering lots of lightweight hydrators (or just one hydrator a few times) and then using a nice cream over top is the key. 🤗

    Hi Sherri I absolutely love the Vanicream moisturizer I do buy some medical grade moisturizer as well but I always keep Vanicream in my collection. Same here. I have a few higher end moisturizers that I love but I seem to reach for my Vanicream the most. I love a lot of CosRx products. Thank you so much for all your insight and for always being so candid and informative.. it’s so generous to take so much time to share all this with all of us.
    LOVE the neogenesis serum and LOOOOVE the colorscience total eye (both acquired based on your videos).Thank you so much for those recommendations!!
    Just got the TTS 5% retinol serum after seeing several of your videos and am very excited. Will report back
    A few questions if you have the time:
    A) I’m super new to retinol. Would you still recommend 2 drops 2x/week or less?
    B) after hearing about how much you love the vanicreme moisturizer, I got it and have been trying it out for about a month. Oddly, it seems stickier, shinier and less effective to me than the EltaMD that I was using before (the AM and PM repair ones). Do you prefer the Vanicreme to the EltaMD? Just curious cause I’m not loving the vanicreme but maybe I’m using too much at a time or something.
    C) I have one annoying dark spot right in middle of my cheek. Any recommendations?
    Thank you!!!! 💜🌈

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Lauren! Here are the answers to your questions
      A) you can even do 1 drop, (not dropperful LOL) and mix it with their mist or your moisturizer. Somedays that's all I use if I still want the benefits but not full strength
      B) I used to LOVE the Elta MD ones BUT they reformulated the pm one I was obsessed with and I started breaking out. I do really love Vanicream for an affordable moisturizer (it is never sticky on me but I only use a pea size usually) but my favorite moisturizer right now is Sente Dermal Repair bit.ly/3aJaOAC. I love this one especially with my retinol because it helps calm the skin and is great if you have any redness. It somehow gets rid of any redness and it s fabulous moisturizer and soaks in so well. It leaves my skin super silky and not sticky at all. It's very luxurious feeling but has lots of skin benefits. But it's pricey so I don't share it too often because people complain LOL. I do have a discount code for it that helps but it's still pricey. GRACEFULBEAUTY20 is my code if you need it.
      3) I have lots of videos for darks spots and the products I use topically but it may be more like a liver spot. I have one too on my right cheek right in the middle but it's pretty light now because of the supplements I take. I'll be doing a video on my supplements soon. But the ones for liver spots or dark spots that I like is called Regenerate from Osmosis bit.ly/3tnNIpx It is simply FABULOUS! and I also take one called Immune Activator that works really well with Regenerate bit.ly/3MELaKF GRACEFULBEAUTY20 discount takes 20% off of those as well since they are pricey. And for melasma spots (also great for jaw and chin acne), I take one called Estroblock Pro amzn.to/3ND6Ckp and Liv Dtox amzn.to/3xm5b2W But if it looks strange, I would definitely make an appointment with your Dermatologist to take a look at it. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help. Hope you're having a beautiful day!🤗

      Thank you thank you thank you THAAANK you!! I checked out the sente moisturizer and TOTALLY want to get it haha. Buuut since I just sprung for the TNS growth factor aaaannnd another osmossisMD serum, gonna have to wait a bit to splurge for that moisturizer. However, I definitely will try a smaller amount of vanicreme. That should probably do the trick.
      And I didn’t even think about liver spots. Thank you for that info and the resources regarding supplements. Will go over some of them with my naturopath and see what might work best. Again thank you so so so much and hope you continue to enjoy your travels time in South America! All the best

    Sheri , need your advice !!
    Suggestions for eyeshadow that is NOT glittery , shimmery , sparkly that has very little fallout (I’m open to cream shadow but the ones in the little pots seem to dry out so quickly ).
    And also, a good SPF for lips ?
    Also, i wanted to mention I tried a new brand of eye cream , spf for under eyes called Vrea and it was extremely drying even though it contains hyaluronic acid. I also got a shade too light so that didn’t help also . I had such high hopes for it .

If you don't see the video let me know and I can send it to ya. I have the VREA eye cream/concealer/spf too. I don't like it, extremely drying. I love my Colorescience 3 in 1 much better. But I was hopeful it would be a dupe. But it's not.

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it varies, I used to only use a little less than half a pump and that's really all you need. When I do that and use it once a day, it lasts about 2-3 months. But after using it daily for a few months, then I started using every other day and still maintained the results and then it lasts 5 or 6 months.

    Sheri I have 2 questions I need your advice/opinion on. When using a growth factor like Skinmedica or similar, I’ve heard that using a medical grade retinol is not recommended. Do you use them together or alternate nights? Also, does the use of l-ascorbic acid interfere with a growth factor? I would absolutely love your feedback. Do I need to come back to this post to see your reply?

    Hi Sherri! I’ve been watching your videos this morning - love them! Would you start with the stem cell cream or the retinol? Then there was the Catalyst you mentioned ! I want to buy all the things but not sure it is wise to start with them all! Lol

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jennifer. If you've never used one I'd start with the retinol. Once you're over 35 or 40, then I'd definitely look into a growth factor serum. Don't buy everything LOL even though it's tempting.🤪 Just start slow and keep it simple. In A.M. gentle cleanser, antioxidant serum, moisturizer and SPF (always SPF and apply) then in P.M. double cleanse, treatment serum (like a retinol) then moisturize. and that's it to start out. Once you're skin is used to the routine then maybe add in 1 new product at a time, not all at once. Hope that helps and hope it helps save you money too LOL 🤗

    Hi Sheri! I just received my order of the UpLifting Firming Serum from City Beauty which is different than the boosting serum you used in this video. Not quite sure why there are different formulas or if expected results are different but it gets rave reviews. Have you tried using it? One difference is the UpLifting firming serum instructions say to apply to a clean dry face until fully absorbed then follow with moisturizers. I prefer to put serums and moisturizers on damp skin. Used it for the first time tonight and didn’t follow instructions as I put it on after some other products. Obviously didn’t read first. Oh well…I’ll try to pay attention tomorrow. Lol.

    I have never tried retinol before, so If I wanted to give it a try what you are using, would you say that 5% is too strong? even if I used it once a week or every couple of weeks in the beginning? should I start with something less potent?

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if you've never used a retinol, I think this may be too much for your skin. But I don't know for sure because perhaps your skin can tolerate it??? Just to be safe I would just try something more gentle, like the Osmosis Calm or Renew 1st or maybe Paula's Choice retinol booster and add to your moisturizer. Or if you want a good quality drugstore option, CeraVe has a nice retinol and the brand Differin makes a nice one that used to be by prescription only. But you 100% MUST use SPF daily and reapply and even if you try a less potent retinol. Still start slow and work your way up to how many nights a week your skin can tolerate. 🤗

      New users should stay under 1% at first to avoid excessive irritation.
      Affordable options include these:
      Cerave makes an affordable product, their Resurfacing Retinol Serum, that uses an encapsulated retinol that increases tolerance by reducing irritability. They don't disclose the amount of pure retinol, but it's been estimated to be between .1% and .15%. I used it for a year and definitely saw results without much irritation. You'll need a moisturizer on top.
      Neutrogena makes the Rapid Wrinkle Repair with Retinol which is a moisturizing cream with a low percentage similar to the Cerave. Dr. Dray has recommended this product specifically.
      Olay makes the Regenerist Retinol 24 serum and moisturizing cream that compares to the Neutrogena.
      When you're ready to move up a bit L'Oreal makes a serum with .3% retinol that is within the strength shown to provide substantial improvement. It does contain alcohol to be quick drying, but it didn't dryout my skin (age 53), especially after I applied a moisturizer.
      I'm currently using the Geek&Gorgeous A-Game 10 which contains a stronger form of retinoid, retinaldehyde, that I like. (Unfortunately it has to be shipped from Hungary. ) It requires less work for the skin to convert to retinoic acid, but I wouldn't advise starting out with it.

    I’m using retin a .14. How is the truth treatment different?

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, your retin-a a is a retin"oid", TT is a retin"ol" but is slow release so it won't cause irritation like retin-a does for most people. It can still cause some peeling, but not itchy red flaking or irritation. But this retinol is comparable to 0.05% retin-a, as far as strength HOWEVER this also has 25% non irritating Vit C in it plus a few other fabulous ingredients and antioxidants to help with the slow release and deeper penetration. Prescription creams are just the medicine in a base of yucky stuff with no other benefit. Yes prescriptions work BUT I switched because of the added ingredients, deeper penetration and more anti aging results. Plus I'm getting a hefty dose of the non irritating form of Vit C which really takes the retinol to the next level since it is properly combined vs me trying to play chemist and mix a bunch of actives. It's just an all around better product for my skin. But your prescription is still a great product so no need to switch if you're content. Some people do still use their prescription and use this once or twice a week for a potent treatment (not used on the same night as the prescription though). Here are 2 other videos where I go in more detail if you are interested in seeing them.

    • @GracefulBeautyWithSheri
      @GracefulBeautyWithSheri  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, yes I quickly reviewed it in an earlier video. I don't like it. It's not a bad product but I just saw zero results. It feels lovely, nice and silky, has nice ingredients but for a retinol I find it to be very weak. It would make a nice moisturizer but for the price, I couldn't recommend it. My husband loves how it feels and he loves the scent but his skin didn't look.any different than when he used moisturizer. If you're new to retinol though and can get it on sale, then it might be a good option and perhaps you would see results. But I like Neutrogenas retinol better and it's much less expensive. Hope that helps.
