I also meant to stress in this video that I am very high maintenance when it comes to my skin care. I am not saying everyone needs all these steps. If you are a minimalist, I recommend a good cleanser, vitamin c, and spf and you are good to go!! ❤️
Amazing. I love your recommendation for the minimalist. SPF SPF SPF SPF! You are still stressing the most important routine for protecting yourself from developing skin cancer AND it's better for the environment. You rock Mandy. Thank you, Calvin.
I finally bought the sente moisturizer...and wow, LOVE IT! It is the perfect marriage of my now former faves...Neogenesis Barrier Renewal and Skinceuticals Triple Lipid. Thank you for the fabulous recommendation! My next purchase is going to be the Dermal Pressed Contour Serum. 😄
The Dr Ceuracle and Pyunkang yul are holy grails for me. They are serious game changers! I’ve been using the Pyunkang yul for much longer and I decided to try a week without it?? My face couldn’t hold on to water to save my life. I hadn’t realized that when I’m not using skincare my skin is truly dry.
wonderful video. Thank you! The best sunscreen is the one you will use everyday. As a teenager (I'm 70), we mixed baby oil with iodine, slathered it on and baked in the sun. What an idiot! For the last 8 years there is not a day that I don't wear sunscreen. Even if I'm in the house all day, I still wear it. It is never too late to start wearing sunscreen. Now I have dermatologists notice immediately that I wear sunscreen every day. It makes a big difference in the aging and health of your skin. I wish Alastin made a lighter tint in the Hydratint. It is too dark for me but it is such a nice one. I've been using the DRMTLGY Physical Tinted Moisturizer for about a month and have really liked and it plays well with my makeup. Again, great video.
Amen! It's never too late to start and have it do positive things for your skin. I know a lot of people have complained to Alastin about having different tints. I am really hoping they are working on that.
Another excellent video from Mandy, MUA extraordinaire. Thank you. I started watching this video when I said to myself "but Mandy, I was a sun worshipper from my teenage years into my thirties". Of course, you addressed people like me a moment later. You always give great advice. I'm going to return the favour ... please hear me out, you won't regret it. I'm thinking you might really appreciate this advice because I know you and your husband are into trying to eat healthy foods and get proper regular exercise. First, my background: I'm a 64 year old retired scientist. Memory loss runs in my family. I've been getting memory tests yearly. One year ago my memory score was all the way down to 40% of what it should be. I was about to lose my driver's license. Then I discovered Dr. Sten Ekberg (BTW ... I have no affiliation with Dr. Ekberg and he is selling nothing, just providing advice). I watched his TH-cam video on "Top 10 cooking oils". It's a short half hour video, but it took me over three hours to get through because I kept looking up and verifying the chemistry and biology that he was quoting. This doctor has human health and nutrition science figured out better than anyone I have ever read. After following Dr Ekberg's advice on diet, and most importantly his advice on intermittent fasting, my memory test jumped up to 80% of what it should be. That was three months ago. I'm pretty sure my next memory test will be 100%. My body has also dramatically changed. I've always been athletic but I had gained maybe 5-10 pounds of belly fat during the pandemic. My new diet, and daily intermittent fasting, melted that fat away in less than a month. I'm now ripped again. I have a well defined six pack and you can see my muscles rip along the sides of my rib cage as well. When playing tennis, I can run circles around the three men I play tennis with (all three men are in shape and in their early 40's). Anyway, I hope you check Dr Ekberg out. Just search TH-cam for "Sten Ekberg top 10 cooking oils". Thanks again Mandy. I love you and appreciate what you do. Peace, Calvin. **NOTE: Fasting fixed my memory by allowing "autophagy" to happen in my gut biome (the trillions of bacteria in my gut) and the connected biome in my brain. This is all well explained in his videos on intermittent fasting.
Thanks so much Calvin! I have hypothyroidism, and unfortunately, fasting isn't for me. I have tried it in the past, and it put a lot of strain on my thyroid. My numbers started getting askew and when I stopped, they went back to normal. I know it's amazing for so many people though!
@@MandyDavisMUA That's too bad Mandy. I'm sorry to hear that. You seem to be handling it very well though. You look amazing, and you (and your husband) look like you are in amazing physical shape. Good on you. :)

You got me hooked on Revision products. I love their cleanser for sensitive skin....smells so good. I am going to try the toner. I received the Rephr cleanser as a gift for my birthday and have been enjoying it too.
I have such a love/hate relationship with dermsplaning. I love the immediate results but more often than not I will have bumps or breakouts in a few days no matter what method or products I use before and after. I always say I’m just going to stop trying but I always go back!
I used to have that happen to me too when I had in office dermaplaning. I found that quitting acids/retinoids a couple days beforehand really helped. I can use them any time around just shaving my face at home and have no issues, but it really helped when I went in office.
@@MandyDavisMUA I do try to limit retinoids around it but I’m sure I don’t always keep the best track. I don’t have a set schedule for dermaplaning. It usually happens at random when I start to see my mustache coming in too hard. 😂

That simply means we use the full complement of molecules whose natural job in nature is to repair our skin throughout our lives. This is a much safer, natural solution to healing + repairing the skin versus using stem cells from bone marrow, fetal tissue, etc.
