@@MyStreamingBuddy as soon as i seen the end of the video i went out and ordered both the 40k and fantasy(they call it age of sigmar these days something ill never get used too...) intro boxes. They didnt have these back in the 90s instead you'd have a $200 starter set (idk what that is priced for inflation)
I remember when I got my first box set to start the hobby. Watching as I work on my Warhound Titan rn. I'm so happy to see more people pick up the physical game now!

the first steps are always the most intimidating, starting the physical side this year but i followed for years. welcome c: dont be too scared. there's plenty of videos on how to get started. go for the rule of cool but you're looking to get into games quicker Boarding Action/COmbat Patrol would be great.

Advice: Buy the Rulebook (A book with just the rules no lore called 'the rules' for 25 bucks from GWs website) and the Boarding Actions Book... then play 500 point BA games to start, allows you to play with much smaller armies and simplified rules. Allows you to play several armies without investing a grand into armies right away - in case you like one and not the other youre not in too deep to change course.
